Folks, It's happening. After 10 (11 now) years of the "This is Fine" meme taking over the world slowly, I have asked politely if now would be a good time to license the shit out of it. And the crowd shouted "YES!"
Not only do we have this Brand New Talking Figurine coming out soon (designed by Grayson Evans, who is taking commissions right now) (the figure goes on sale 4/2 and is now available for preorder. It will also be available wherever books are sold), but I am also working with several other companies on buttons, pins, patches, calendars, and etc. Basically, the next time you go to Hot Topic or FYE and see all those patches and pins at the front, near the registers, you will most likely find some OFFICIAL This is Fine merch hanging out there too.
We also have some specialty soft enamel pins coming out (or possibly already out) from Zen Monkey Studios featuring panel pins and cooler designs of Question Hound in both of his moods. I believe you will find these in the same physical places as the other pins Or you can order em online!
Plus a lot more we're still working on/waiting for. New shirts comin' at ya soon that you can find AT A MALL! I got an agent and he's doing his best routine of e-mailing folks on my behalf and asking if there's interest in "this is fine" and most of them say "sure!" so I guess there's some room for me after all.
All of this is to simply inform you, the public! Yes, there will always be bootleggers. But they don't matter in the long run. And Yes, I still have my Topatoco store of "This is Fine" merch as well. That won't go anywhere either. I'm just expanding my scope, cus this little dog is gettin' bigger than I ever expected to be in charge of. But don't fret, for my hand is GLUED to the wheel.
I received the following question from @aarghc about diexie dai. As I'm not familiar with belt construction, perhaps some other readers might be able to provide insights?:
I'm trying to understand the structure of 蹀躞带 dié xiè dai belts. There are many pictures where the hanging straps are clearly one layer, but here (https://fuckyeahchinesefashion.tumblr.com/post/664758617722994688/%E8%B9%80%E8%BA%9E%E5%B8%A6-di%C3%A9-xi%C3%A8-dai-by-cromartie) and other places where you see them hanging pouches from the belt, the hanging straps are 2 layered. From a modern construction perspective it would make sense for there to be snaps on the hanging straps to attach to the pouches but if not, then it looks like it's just friction holding the pouches to the belts? That's now how I'd like to secure my wallet. 8-) Might you or your readers have any insights on Chinese utility belt construction? 8-)

十二章纹衮服圆领袍 (The Twelve Ornaments Round collar robe):
The Twelve Ornaments (Chinese: 十二章; pinyin: Shí'èr zhāng) are a group of ancient Chinese symbols and designs that are considered highly auspicious. They were employed in the decoration of textile fabrics in ancient China, which signified authority and power, and were embroidered on china emperor’s robe.
【On the upper Robe】
The sun (日, rì) with the three-legged crow
The moon (月, yuè) with the moon rabbit in it, who is constantly pounding the elixir of life
The Three Stars (星辰, xīngchén), which could also be the Fu Lu Shou stars, which symbolise happiness, prosperity, and longevity
The Sacred Mountains (山, shān), which symbolize stability and tranquility
The Dragon (龍, lóng), symbol of adaptability and strength
The Pheasant (華蟲), which is however the phoenix (鳳凰, fenghuang), symbol of peace and refinement
The dragon and phoenix represent the natural world. In yin and yang terminology, a dragon is male yang and the phoenix a female yin. Therefore, the emperor was often identified as the dragon, while the empress was the phoenix. This was also reflected in the robes they wore.

【On the lower robe】
Two Cups (宗彝, zōng yí), which are a sacrificial utensil, sometimes feature patterns containing each a tiger and a monkey, and symbolize faithfulness and respect
A Spray Of Pondweed Or Algae (藻, zǎo), a symbol of brightness and purity
Fire (火, huǒ), which symbolises brightness.
Grains Of Rice (粉米, fěn mǐ), which symbolises nourishment and the country’s agriculture, but also wealth
An Axe (黼, fǔ), symbol of courage and resolution, but also executive justice.
The figure 亞 (黻, fú) underneath the axe represents two animals with their backside together. This symbolises the capability to make a clear distinction between right and wrong.
