I am most experienced with fantasy and Star Wars character art, but am perfectly willing and able to draw characters from other types of media. If I am not confident I can fulfill your request, I will be honest about it upfront.

Random OC ask, summer game! ⛱️☀️🌊.

What your OCs or favorite characters would be doing on a beach? In case they absolutely can't go on a beach, what other summer activity do they enjoy?

OOOOOOO this a real good ask, i do love the ocean!

A beach day with Pal’mier would first have to start with you telling her what the ocean is. Then the next few hours would be spent trying to calm her down from the inevitable breakdown it would have after realising what the ocean is. Being from an icy mountainous range and all. (I don’t think it wasn’t given a general geographical education at either the creche or the monsetary Pal’mier grew up in. I just think she wouldn’t ever really grasp the concept of “the sea” until it’s face to face with that)

After that you’d then have the pleasure to accompany Faerun’s most non-nonchalant githyanki to your local sandy beach. Pal’meir also wouldn’t have ever stepped on sand before now and also would be hesitant and (depending on the company ) in denial about being wary of sand.

Pal’meir would make up some excuse about how “real githyanki don’t actually believe in beach days” or “Its actually against githyanki nature to step on sand unprepared” if it was the only githyanki around to get away with it n probably hide behind a tree line or something. But if it does get caught in the lie, Pal’meir would go on the beach out of spite.

The sand would be warm in an unfamiliar way, unlike the sun flowing beneath her feet. Each step would be unstable as the grains shift beneath its weight putting Pal on edge. The sound the sand would make would remind her of home, coaxing her to keep going. Slowly taking each step until Pal quickly hides under the a beach umbrella curled up on a beach towel to decompress.

I do think once it reaches mid day, after Pal has watched the others play about in the sun, sea and sand for a while, it’d consider trying sun bathing. She knows what the sun is, she knows she can handle it. Pal would slowly move the towel out into the open, cautiously checking over her shoulder to see if anyone is watching and sit with her legs against her chest in the sun. And maybe if she’s with some close friends that’ll watch her back, Pal’meir would untie its hair and let it’s ears fall down. Laying down flat on her face in the sun and melt.

Lulling itself to sleep to the slow sounds of waves, releasing all of the tension in her muscles as it falls into deeper and deeper sleep. Just being warmed up by the sun for hours.

Pal would only wake up once its time to leave feeling as though she time travelled and looking dazed as ever. It’s spot pattern would be more freckled and darker as the sun tanned its back. Her hair would smell warm. Overall being a very successful beach day for Pal’meir.

I’d think next time though she’d feel secure enough in what “beach” is and means to spend the next trip destroying everyone at volleyball with her spiking skills.

(Oh! And also for Domino; he’d spend half the time at the beach posing sexily in various swim wear before shifting and chasing people around in the ocean and trying to see how far she can swim out to sea before she’s at risk of being washed away. Like a thrill seeking thing)

Pal'mier!

Okay okay okay, this took a while but I finally finished the ref of my new Githyanki Oc: Pal'mier! Thanks to @des-no9 for answering my anon ask :3 it helped a bunch with firming up her backstory :)

Some Fun Facts: > Her fighting style is a mix between Muay Thai and Capoeira > The symbol on its clothes is a reference to her name sake, a palmier (type of pastry) > Lost her index finger to frost bite

I don't have a definitive subclass for her yet but I do have backstory and lore™️! under the cut.

Okay so the story is that she was the first batch of gith kids hatched from a freshly formed creche on the material plane. It was in a very treacherous and wintery mountainous area, hard to reach harder to leave. Not many people in the immediate area.

Pal'mier hatched as a fat young baby, way larger than her peers and was instantly singled out by the varsh to grow up to be some sort of unstoppable gish soldier. However it got older, Pal never really grew into a desirable githyanki soldier. She struggled to wield weaponry, never grew as tall as her kin, her ears never developed to stand on their own so it had to tie them up so that she'd fit in more. Pal'mier grew to be a massive disappointment for her creche and was singled out by her creche mates to be picked on and bullied and used as a sparring partner (punching bag) often. Until one day her Sa'varsh instructed her to go out into the harsh wintery wilderness and survive for 2 days and if it came back and survived, Pal would get Vlaakith's favour. As sort of those githling trips they make the kids do to either die or become strong.

So Pal lept at the oppertunity to prove herself to her kin and left straight away only for like a freak accident to occur and an avalanche wiped out the whole creche hours into the challenge. In the shock of it all, Pal'mier decided that it was a sign from Vlaakith herself that Pal is actually the chosen one destined to be her right hand and her fave most special little githyanki in the world. So Pal'meir spent the next tenday wondering the mountain range before passing out from exhaustion and frost bite. Pal is then found by a monestary of monks (i haven't firmed up which its random for now) trying to save a child left lying in the snow all pale and frozen. Pal reacts as any feral gith child would when surrounded by istiks and fights them the whole time on it. But over time as she grows up to become a full adult she learns to live with them, their fighting styles and what a loving family is like <3 Then some time after that its abducted by the Zathisk and the BG3 plot happens :3

28. What does your Tav think of Auntie Ethel? What do they tell Mayrina?

The first time Vir meets Ethel in the Grove he can tell somethings a little… off about her, but they’ve got more pressing matters to attend to at the time so they don’t look into it too much.

The second time they meet Vir has a full ‘I knew it!’ moment as she shows her true colors after he doesn’t side with her. He convinces the brothers not to go looking for her and with some nudging from Wyll and seeing her effect on the swamp, decides it’s for the best to dispose of the hag.

Although Vir is annoyed by Mayrina’s attitude after they rescue her, he understands that sad and desperate people often lash out and they still retrieve the wand for her. He does think briefly about breaking the wand himself so she can finally grieve normally but in the end, he brings him back and gives her the wand so she can make the choice herself.

43. What does your Tav think of Jaheira and the Harpers?

Vir loves Jaheria, she fits right into their little group of misfits, and her insightfulness and sense of humor are something that he can relate to. Her calm and levelheaded nature is also something that Vir appreciates, especially as things get more hectic and they need someone to knock some sense into them.

96. Does Lae'Zel remain loyal to Vlaakith, or does she follow Orpheus? Or neither?

In Vir’s canon, Lae’zel renounces Vlaakith and leaves to join the revolution with Voss and Orpheus.

After the first meeting with Voss, it's something that looms over their relationship - Lae’zel is leaving (whether she truly wants to or not) and there is a very real possibility she might not come back, but it's far safer for everyone if she does, no matter how much it hurts.

11. What goes through your Tav's head when they wake up on the Nautiloid? Are they scared or do they push those feelings aside to focus on escaping?

He’s not particularly scared, maybe more annoyed than anything. This isn't the first time Emra’s woken up in a (very) sticky situation like this and it probably won't be the last. He’s quick to push through and try to get the fuck off the ship and preferably out of literal hell.

37. Did your Tav go to Creche Y'llek? Did they know something was up with the healer?

He did. He didn’t want to, he left his people behind decades ago and had no intention of ever returning to them, but he knew there was no other way to shake Lae’zel’s unwavering loyalty to her people.

The moment they enter the Ghustil’s office Emra already knows how this is going to end. He’s been around long enough to know that the Githyanki’s only cure for a ghaik parasite is death, and if they did have another cure it sure as hell wouldn’t be at some backwater creche. He still lets Lae’zel get into the zaith'isk though, her faith is far too strong for her to get the reality of the situation without some direct consequences.

40. Did your Tav agree to kill the Guardian or did they go talk to them instead?

Emra had no intention to kill the Guardian, but getting a direct order from Vlaakith herself pretty well guaranteed the Guardian's life out of spite alone.

Treble

99. Did Wyll get freed from Mizora? Did he save his father?

Getting Wyll out from under Mizora’s thumb was Treble’s top priority as soon she learned about his contract. Freedom is incredibly important to her so there wasn't a chance in the hells that she was gonna let a good man like Wyll be stuck doing a fiend's bidding.

As for Ulder Ravengard, Treble’s opinion of him is… less than favorable, but keeping him alive is clearly important to Wyll so when they find him in The Iron Throne she makes sure he gets out safely.
