RECEIVING kassidy’s birthday invitation brought a whole new kind of joy to emma. the way the two were interacting recently, she was glad to see they were still friends before anything. closer than usual, but friends. as the time drew closer, emma hurried to finish getting ready and order her ride to dance again. arriving to the venue, she made her way inside, scanning the place for the birthday girl. when emma’s eyes came across kassi, she made her way over, coming up behind her to surprise her, as she was distracted talking to others. “ happy birthday, gorgeous, ” she whispered against her ear, a smile on her face as she turned to face her. she pulled her into a tight hug, a smile present on her face as she pulled away after a few moments. “ this is for you, ” she said, waving a gift bag in front of her, that carried a small bottle of tequila. “ i wasn’t sure what you’d like but i figured i couldn’t go wrong with this. i want to see it empty by the end of the night, ” she commented as the other opened her bag. @kassldyembcrr

WHEN compiling the list of people she wanted to invite to her birthday party , emma was obviously towards the top of the list . over the past couple of weeks , emma had quickly become one of kassidy’s favorite people in this town . with it being her party , kassidy was obviously already there when emma arrived , talking to another small group of friends at the moment . it wasn’t until she heard the familiar voice in her ear that kassidy perked up and turned to face the brunette . “ well would you look what the cat drug in ? ” she teased before pressing a kiss to emma’s cheek . “ hi cuteness . thanks for coming . ” she hummed softly before hugging the other woman back . when emma presented the gift towards her , kassidy’s eyes lit up and she quickly took it , pulling the bottle out of the bag with a grin . “ oh fuck yes ! ” she claimed excitedly . “ this just made my night so much better ; and cheaper ! ”

“ Sassy Kassi… ” Finley began with a click of his tongue against his teeth. A gleam had struck his green eyes from the very moment he’d realized just who he’d bumped into. The birthday girl. “ I sort of want you to do it now. ” He pushed this further with a wink. Kassi bit and Finley liked that. “ I’ve never been slapped by a birthday girl before. Actually, wait – ” Finley held a finger up as he fact-checked his own claim against his many years of antics. In particular, one night in West London. “ Nope. That’s not true. Still, it would be an honour. Birthday girl and frontwoman extraordinaire. Be still my heart. ”

“ that’s my name , don’t wear it out . ” kassidy hummed with a smirk at the other’s remark to her nickname . when he mentioned that he almost wanted her to slap him , kassidy couldn’t help but laugh out loud . “ you would . ” she spoke through amusement as she shook her head . hearing his words , another laugh fell from kassidy’s mouth . “ you’re something else , you know that right ? ” she asked softly , glancing back up at him . “ sadly for you , i only slap in the heat of the moment , and that moment is long gone , so we’re gonna have to save that for another day . ” she told him honestly . “ i’ll take you up on that new drink though . ”
