SPOTLIGHT: The Value of a Line by Heather Hansen
In 1906 German art historian Wilhelm Worringer wrote, “The value of a line, of a form consists for us in the value of the life that it holds for us.  It holds its beauty only through our own vital feeling, which, in some mysterious manner, we project into it.” 
Artist Heather Hansen employs her own body and performance to create large-scale charcoal and pastel drawings.
