Kate's Sims Tumblr
16 posts
Just a place to post things I've made so they don't get swallowed by the gallery. I used to build loads in the sims 3 but recently decided to learn how to do sims 4 builds. Still learning so nothings really complex yet- follow if you want to see me figure this out!   Gallery id- ibopeep96

Witchy Manor - 3 bed, 3 bath
Here it is, I finally got around to taking and editing screenshots of my next witchy build. I actually built this one ages ago, but it kind of got lost to time haha! So I'm new to all this but I'm gonna post all my witch houses for halloween, or Simblreen as I've seen it called.
Anyway this is my rebuild of the godawful Charm family house in Glimmerbrook. They're supposed to be an ancient magical family, yet maxis puts them in a weird box with windows hapharzardly strewn everywhere they shouldn't be? Not acceptable!!! I decided to keep up my Glimmerbrook 'rustic queen-anne victorian' style and build them an appropriate manor house to suit their needs.
The house has enough room to house the Charm family and maybe more so it is perfect for anyone's magic legacy household or whatever it is people do in the sims these days. There's not as much clutter as my usual builds as I was too impatient and wanted to play with my made-over Charm family asap, so you can easily add in your own personal touches etc. There's also a magic duelling arena in the garden, so that's fun.
This was built and uploaded to the gallery wayy before cottage living and paranormal were released so I wish I could add more stuff to it but I'm sure those who have those packs could go nuts adding all that in themselves!
House details:
- 40x30
- 3 bedrooms
- 3 bathrooms, one large, one ensuite
- CC free, bb.moveobjects on before placing
- Originally placed on Rock Ridge Canyon, Glimmerbrook
- features a glass sunroom, a magical study complete with floating orbs, magic duelling arena, large wraparound porch, witchy tower and a driveway for whatever you want to put there
- probably uses nearly all the packs up to snowy escape so sorry guys
Download from the gallery id- ibopeep96
please don't reupload or whatever thank you

'Simblreen'
I'm about to post another witchy house that i've finished over-editing screenshots for, I suppose I tag it with simblreen or something? I don't know how to get my build posts to get traction on here so I hope tagging it with halloween shit will get it going. Plus I've got a few more followers since my last post so hopefully you guys are active and willing to reblog it lmao- maybe since my other witch house is the one that people like then people will like this next one.
If anyone knows how to get builds to spread on simblr better let me know lol

Glimmerbrook Watch
This build was inspired by all the 90s and 00s witch-y films and TV I loved, and the aesthetic associated with it, Charmed, The Craft, Hocus Pocus etc (also from the house from Practical Magic but I haven’t seen that film yet oops). Very nostaligic. Perfect for a coven of three.
3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms
CC free
175,272 simoleons
Basement contains 1 demon (imprisoned)
Big CRT TV (remember those?)
requires most packs but some are only one or two objects so not a huge deal if you don’t have backyard stuff or whatever, just check the gallery listing to see the stuff used
The greenhouse in the gallery upload is the one from the third pic with the florist bench, I just took better photos before I added it whoops

The Ward Den Rebuilt
I decided to build Judith Ward an entirely new mansion since her old house, lets be honest, was so bad that I totally understand why her ex husbands left. Who’d want to live in that ugly blue box? Anyway, this is based on old hollywood art deco with 60s additions. It’s not jaw-dropping amazing like some ward dens I’ve seen but hey, I’m getting there. This is probably the biggest house I’ve built yet and I’m still proud of it, even if it’s not ‘xanadu’ levels of mansion-y lmao. I was going more for a house built in the 20s that a classical hollywood actress bought, then lived in through to the death of the studio system in the 60s when she’s regarded as a ‘has-been.’ So it’s not necessarily a billionaire’s house, but definitely an icon’s.
You can find it on the gallery under my user id- ibopeep96

First Post
Hi no-one!
This is the obligatory first post where I prove this is a real person by typing something and not just going full steam ahead with the posting.
As an introduction,
My name’s Kate, I’m 23 and have been playing the sims since the Sims 1 deluxe edition a loooong time ago, probably when I was too young to understand what was happening and could easily be scared by the fire in that game (which I was). I’ve been building terrible houses ever since. I had bought all the Sims 4 games up until city living before giving up because it was getting ridiculous that EA was selling us all this stuff we’d already had in the previous games base game (in the Sims 2′s base game, in Toddlers case) and less content in expansions than the previous generations’ equivalent (i.e. horses, all of the occults etc). I went back to the sims 3 because it pretty much had everything the Sims had built up without taking a step back as the Sims 4 had at that point. Last year I began a Sims 3 save where I built every house from scratch in Sunset Valley, and I got around 75% of it done before the sheer amount of data meant it would crash all the time, even if 25% of the town was literally empty. I got a new laptop that should of, in theory, handled it, but it turns out even that could not help me, and it was probably the save data of all these families I’d played that the game, rather than the laptop, couldn’t handle. So I caught up with the Sims 4, gradually bought the packs I’d missed, and now I’m exploring building in this game one step at a time.
I’m going to post pictures of what I’ve built here, whether people follow or not doesn’t matter, I just want to collect everything here and talk about the sims since I just realised, looking back up at this post, I have a lot to say lmao
I also might go back and post pictures of the houses from the sims 3 save just because I don’t want all that work to be for nothing haha.
