Someone broke the sink during the birthday party, so while everyone is asleep Gavin works on fixing it.

He's putting everything he has into fixing this sink. Taking the water hitting him in the face, it mixes with his tears as it drips off his chin back into the basin. This is more than a plumbing malfunction to him now. How can he fix his life if he can't fix this sink?

Gavin can't sleep. He's up all night pacing the kitchen trying to figure out what to do. He knows that if he leaves Shelby she'll keep Georgia away from him. And he doesn't want to split up the kids. But he can't accept what she's done to him. What is he going to do? We'll have to wait till next round to figure it out.

The party was indeed awkward. Shelby and Gavin glared at each other from across the room for most of the night.

Shelby was definitely putting on a show by throwing a big party. She invited all the neighborhood kids and we had lots of routing issues.

I think she's growing into her face. She's for sure a lot cuter.

Gavin snuck outside for the rest of the night to avoid everyone and have space to think.

Taytum takes her little brother to the park across the street to get away from the bad vibes in the house.

Debbie comes by and the girls hang out on the swings while Forrest plays.

"So is the birthday party tonight going to be super awkward or what?"

"I don't know what's going on. My dads always been a rat. Ya know all his hustling and gambling and stuff. But I don't think he would ever do anything to hurt my mom."

"As soon as I'm an adult I'm getting the heck out of here and moving downtown."

She wished she could stay longer, but it was starting to rain and Georgia's birthday party was starting soon.

The next morning is a bit uncomfortable. The kids find their dad sleeping on the couch.

Shelby is acting furious with Gavin even though she's the one who's blown up their family. Gavin is realizing just how manipulative she is.

Taytum isn't totally sure what's going on. All she knows is her mom is really upset with her dad and he's giving her the cold shoulder and sleeping on the couch. Shelby knows she can spin this to get all the kids on her side.

Gavin and Shelby get into a shouting match when they get home, right outside the kids bedroom window where they probably heard.

Shelby goes straight to bed but Gavin goes straight to his girl Georgia.

The kids are at home, unaware of their parents impending divorce, having a great time with pizza and a movie.

Chester walked right up to Shelby as if her husband wasn't right there. He was happy to see her, it had been a long time.

She knows she's in trouble now.

Gavin blew up on Shelby and finally confronted her about everything.

Shelby did not want to have this conversation here in public. Chester thought Shelby was hot the way she argued with her husband over him.

When Gavin brought up Georgia, Chester was shocked. Shelby never told him she was pregnant.

Gavin threatened Chester not to come anywhere near his wife or family ever again.

Shelby stepped in and assured Chester he could meet Georgia and be in her life if that's what he wanted.

Gavin was astounded and disgusted at the betrayal. He couldn't believe what was happening.

Shelby feels totally defeated. She thought she had this night under control but everything has blown up in her face.

Gavin is in a blind rage and grabs a drink from the bar to throw at Chester.

After this he storms out to go home. What a dramatic night it's been.

Gavin tells Shelby his plan to have Taytum babysit so they can go out for a date tonight.

Shelby is excited to have some time alone with Gavin without the kids. She feels like she hasn't had attention like this from him in such a long time.

By the time they're at the bar, Gavin is already tense and his thoughts are spiraling. Shelby can sense his unease and tries to keep the night lighthearted.

When they sit down to eat, Gavin tries to subtly ask if she's met anyone. He's kind of dancing around the topic and isn't sure how to bring up everything he's heard and the doubts he's having. Shelby tries to brush off the question. Allyn is definitely eavesdropping.

Shelby tries to distract him by pulling him over to the karaoke machine. It seems to have worked for the moment.

She's such a smooth talker, she whispers in his ear and quiets his doubts. It looks like she's smoothed it over and going to get away with this but then...

Look who walks in.

I think he's connecting all the dots now.

When Taytum gets home Gavin asks her to babysit her siblings tonight so he and Shelby can go out for a date. They haven't been able to have a night out together since before Georgia was born and they have some things to talk about.

She immediately protests. She doesn't want to be the default babysitter just because the oldest.

Gavin pushes back at her refusal. He's not asking her to be a nanny, just hang out with her siblings for a few hours.

Taytum reluctantly agrees, as long as they can order pizza.

The boys had some one on one time outside playing darts. Forrest complained about having to go to school now and keep up with grades.

He teased and laughed at this dad for every throw he missed.

Gavin didn't mind the kid being a little turd, he loved spending time with his son.

On the weekend, Shelby finally acts like a mother and spends some time with Georgia.

She looks like she's staring at the skill bar trying to make it fill faster with her mind.

Let's see if we can teach this kid to walk before her birthday. unlikely.

Taytum's new friend Debbie was a good sport about getting her butt kicked in pool and the two hung out chatting with the other teens.

"Have you heard those crazy conspiracy theories that aliens aren't actually real? Isn't that wild?"

"Well if aliens are real then how come they've never visited our town? I know plenty of people with telescopes and no ones ever been abducted."

"Maybe the mountains around us make it difficult for their spacecraft to get close."

On the way out, Taytum runs into one of her gazillion cousins and they stop for a chat.

"You know aliens are real, right?"

Taytum walks down to the Teen Center. She’s happy she has the freedom now to get out and get a break from her cramped house and little siblings.

She decides to test out the pool tricks her dad has been teaching her since she was tall enough to peek over the top of the table.

She is the girl version of her dad.

The next morning after the party the kids and Gavin hang out playing games while eating breakfast.

I swear no one in this house ever closes the bathroom door and I'm tired of there always being a toilet in the background.

Shelby finally wakes up and doesn't even bother to put clothes on.

Gavin looked at his kids and suddenly realized how big they'd gotten. Where did the time go?

Forrest discovered a love of sports while playing catch with his cousin Kaleb. I'm getting jock vibes for Forrest as he grows up. He's got no nice points but he's extremely outgoing and playful. He has high interest in sports and it's his OTH. I'm thinking high school jock bully.

Now it's Forrest's turn to age up.

Oh no he got the Johnny Bravo hair.

Kaleb can't even look anymore.

This little punk came at Forrest with his shocky finger.

It was time for the birthday makeover because that last picture would have been so much cuter without the goofy look.

Taytum is ready to blow out her candles.

Out of all the people here she only looks for her dad. Their bond is super cute.

Probably wishing for her own room.
