If you're in the US military or National Guard, and are given an illegal or unconstitutional order, the GI Rights hotline (1-877-447-4487) is there to help give you the support you need to do the right thing by refusing it. It would be good to think about this now before it becomes a live issue for you and it would be smart of you to memorize that number.

In the 2000s, phones had quirks and class....
#yeah every time these posts come around#my only thought is how I finally got my coveted lime green LG chocolate#My next phone was a flip phone and i refused to get a smart phone until 2016#the ownership experience was so bad I swore of Phones That Did Things until the mid 2010s

🤯 wowwww she's so pretty!!! ...u-uhm but I don't have a skinniness fetish or anything 😨
#the trans shit especially also has the bonus factor of people labeling random shit male coded and treating male coded ad predatory#so not only is being attracted to transpeople considered a red flag but basically every queer person can be forced into#the 'male coded attraction' box if you stretch it far enough

me: man, i would do anything to have a healthy sleep schedule
every scrap of research on the topic forever: okay so limit your technology use for at least an hour before bed
me: ...man, i would do ALMOST anything to have a heal-
#i have had insomnia since the technology the drs were blaming was one of those CRT TVs with the ornate wooden cases#the phone is probably not helping but not even power outages necessarily would be enough

I don't think it should be legal for mobility items to be as expensive as they are.
Like, if you don't need to buy them at the present moment, I don't think you're aware of just how expensive it is to be disabled. Items that I need in order to be able to live, bath, eat, use the bathroom, and move around are all very pricey, often making it even harder for me and other fellow disabled people to accomplish those tasks.
Why on earth is a spoon/fork made specifically so that those with hand tremors can eat priced at $251.99? That's on sale, by the way. And that isn't even the most expensive model. Y’know, an item that will make it so that an individual can fulfill one of the most basic of human functions? Or why is a good shower chair that I will not fall from $72 (again, on sale)? The toilet chair that doesn't cut off circulation and make my health worse is $128.99, but I currently use the $57 model because I need two of them for each bathroom and I can't afford both. As a result, going to the bathroom literally makes my health worse, but what choice do I have? A walker that supports good posture is anywhere between $100 to $200, but the ones that will last you years will cost you near $300. Don't get me started on wheelchairs. My medications, with insurance and coupons, cost me $700 every month just in order to live.
This isn't even including the pillows, the many items all over the house to make my life livable, the items that help me pick things up or put my clothes on, or that help me do my laundry or cook or clean. Being disabled is so incredibly expensive, and when you can not afford to buy these items to take care of yourself daily, your health gets worse. It's an exhausting and vicious cycle.
