The orange haired boy continued to listen to the reaper’s ego boost. He expected much but was soon caught off guard at his last comment. Understanding a bit how he feels slightly as he tried to meet common ground,

“Hey I get that. I mean, I did the same with music. I tried to block out people that never gave me the time or just up right hated me. So, I just shut them and everyone else out. So, I kinda get where your coming from.”

Thinking back on those times he subconsciously begins to adjusts his headphones on his head.

Neku actually looked like he was listening to him. Never really knowing how the Sho Minamimoto came to terms of math being so much in his life.

“I was just mostly curious. I mean you always talk about math stuff so I just always wondered. Heck, you screamed more numbers in pi that I even knew about.”

Was that a semi compliment in a way? Neku seemed genuine in his words as he rubbed the back of his neck a little.

The orange haired boy seemed to take a deep breath and exhaled slowly. Seems he was taking on something more internally with this conversation then he thought. Neku didn’t really understand it himself, but he felt better for some reason. He nods toward the Reaper, 

“… A-Alright, thanks.” Why was he thanking him? Neku must be internally dealing with something. Regardless, he changes the subject to make more conversation. 

“Oh uh, actually I always had a question I wanted to ask you. Just for the sake of curiosity, what got you interested in math so much?”

The stuff during the past is in the past now so, uh…” Neku also wasn’t good at talking to people. Especially when it comes to facing his past. His gaze drops as a hand rubs his neck, “L-Look I am not here to do any of that to you. Just looking to make peace.”

Neku started to turn the corner when he spotted the familiar reaper in front of him. Processing for a moment before going in farther, Neku remembered a bit of their last conversation and knew he means no harm. Still it was almost like seeing a ghost of his past. Remembering the hard weeks he dealt during The Reapers Game. But, he then soon was reminded of opening up his world and moving pass the past. Maybe this in a way was facing some of those inner emo urges. Opening up his world more isn’t easy for him, but he definitely is trying.

He took a deep breath before even thinking of moving in that direction. Maybe, I should say something… Neku pondered, knowing he would have to pass through this way regardless. A brief moment of hesitation, then Neku was off. Making his way down the mural, he puts a hand up toward the familiar face.

“Oh, hey. Uh, haven’t seen you around in a while.”

Neku started to turn the corner when he spotted the familiar reaper in front of him. Processing for a moment before going in farther, Neku remembered a bit of their last conversation and knew he means no harm. Still it was almost like seeing a ghost of his past. Remembering the hard weeks he dealt during The Reapers Game. But, he then soon was reminded of opening up his world and moving pass the past. Maybe this in a way was facing some of those inner emo urges. Opening up his world more isn’t easy for him, but he definitely is trying.

He took a deep breath before even thinking of moving in that direction. Maybe, I should say something... Neku pondered, knowing he would have to pass through this way regardless. A brief moment of hesitation, then Neku was off. Making his way down the mural, he puts a hand up toward the familiar face.

“Oh, hey. Uh, haven’t seen you around in a while.”

Neku held his headphones closer to himself as he made his way through the bustling crowd. Same old loud Shibuya as usual. Stepping out of the sea of people, he quickly heel turns into another direction far away from the incoming crowd. Neku just wanted some peace and a quiet spot to gather his thoughts. He started to make his way through the backstreets. His eyes began to look around the empty scene as less people were in this area. The boy sighs,

“Finally… somewhere much more quiet.”

Neku then shoves his hands in his pockets as he begins to search around for something. Hoping no one else was around to bother him.
