Social Media Shapes Our Views
Social media has come a long way from its original purpose. Over the years, it has become a place where people all over the world feel comfortable enough to express their views and create their Identity. May it be feminist, minorities, millennials looking for a political outlook, to trolls looking for some excitement in their life. Social media gives people an outlet to express their voice especially on the topics race, gender and politics. You are given the freedom to speak how you feel on specific subjects. These platforms have also given people the liberty to find homes in communities such as black twitter or Facebook’s town hall to find others that share your beliefs but, also given people a connection to have opposing views to yours. This can cause gruesome debates and sadly some awful harassment to people. However, it can also give folks the courage to stand up for things they believe in and many times demolish many people’s one-minded views by opening their eyes to things and ideas that they never even considered, including me.

On social media, there is a serious problem with the gap between races. When #blacklivesmatter broke the internet because a minority decided to stand up for themselves others felt they were being put down but that isn’t the case.

If you ever wanted to understand why someone decides to troll people on the internet, why not learn from some of the most well-known trolls. At the same here how people feel about trolls and their reasoning for trolling. Always 2 sides to a story.

refer to the monsters who hide in darkness and threaten people. Internet trolls have a manifesto of sorts, which states they are doing it for the "lulz," or laughs. What trolls do for the lulz ranges from clever pranks to harassment to violent threats.
