What, if any, mental illness(es) do you consider Jason to have? I would think PTSD pre and post resurrection but I've heard people argue psychosis among other things so I was curious. Thanks 8) (I couldn't figure out if this ask was more appropriate for you or batmanfiles so sorta asked both of you...hope that's okay)

Disclaimer: I’m just a Nursing student, and we don’t diagnose medical/psychiatric illnesses. I got an A in my Psych Nursing class (\o/) and I’ll be using my textbook/notes (Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Concepts of Care in Evidence-Based Practice by Mary C. Townsend) for reference, but I’m not an expert. I’m pretending to diagnose a fictional character based on inconsistent comics that include the existence of a Lazarus Pit. This is my interpretation and I do not claim it to be canon.

Out of the Dick, Jason, Tim, and Damian who do you think has had the saddest life so far???

Since you included Damian, I’m guessing you are talking about comics!canon. Mind you, my choice would still be the same if it were Arkham!canon, but the reasons would be sligthly different.

My choice: Jason. I mean, his life has sucked pretty much 95% of the time, so far:

grew up extremely poor with a crook for a father who was indifferent at best and abusive at worst,

his mother was an addict and died when he was young,

he had to live on the streets as a kid,

likely got sexually absued during that time, as hinted by the comics,

then had about three years where he actually had a happy, mostly healthy life with Bruce,

got betrayed to the Joker by his real mom,

got tortured and murdered by Joker,

had to claw his way out of his own grave,

wondered Gotham amnesiac and broken for months,

got dumped in the freaking Lazarus pit, which is known to drive people insane,

came back to realize that everyone had pretty much moved on from his death, Joker was still alive, and Tim had replaced him as Robin,

did not have anyone in the family welcome him back with love, joy, understanding, protectiveness or anything of the sort, in contrast to Damian,

has been demonized and victim-blamed for his own death by his own family,

is legally dead, so he can’t even show his face in public in Gotham, much less in the company of his own family,

not to mention, do you know how much of a fucking hassle it is to be legally dead?,

would be in even more of a hassle if he tried to reclaim his true identity legally,

has been left out of important family bonding events even after he became ally of the batfam again (I’m looking at you, portrait painting with the “entire” family),

has never had any of his family members trying to help him deal with his trauma or… you know… at least ask him what really happened, and

in New52 continuity was taken back to the site of his death by his own father in an attempt to bring his little brother back from the dead, with ZERO regard for how that would make Jason feel, and NO ONE has bothered to call Bruce out on that yet.

Also: fucking face helmet. Whatever artist came up with that: fuck you.

So, yeah, Jason. Always Jason.

DISABLED FACECLAIM DIRECTORY by juliaroleplays

Over the past few years, the roleplaying community has  gotten better at including more PoC and LGBT muses in their groups, and while body diversity is getting there, I’ve noticed a severe absence regarding disabled characters. Therefore, I present to you a directory featuring one-hundred and five faceclaims who are disabled, have played a disabled character or has potential resources to play a disabled muse.    

This directory allows for filtering by multiple criteria such as year born, gender, disability, assertive devices and ethnicity. In addition, because many of these faceclaims don’t have resources, I’ve done my best to include shows/episodes that they appear in or link to their filmography so resources makers can spread a little love.  

If you have any suggestions for faceclaims to add or if you come across any errors, please feel free to send me a message!
