Kaylee bit her lip to keep from properly laughing at the likely inclusion of the hybrids in the mix of the 'furry creatures' in question, but even more so at the reaction of many of them or of the shifters in attendance had they heard the remark. "She's a pretty cute plus one, I have to admit."
No...I did not smuggle a puppy into this party...

Wulfe very gently secured the puppy in his jacket before glancing up without even a hint of remorse. "Oh its fine...there are plenty of cute furry creatures here tonight. She'll blend right in."

Kaylee had managed to get permission to stay outside of the Mikaelson Manor the odd few times now, normally sighting reasons of needing to focus on her exams and assignments. Luckily she was able to slide under the radar of Klaus' focus most of the time given how outgoing and meddlesome some of the others seemed to be. And this day she'd chosen to stay at a little inn on the outskirts of town that Wilder had mentioned to her in passing. And it was lovely, in truth, if a bit odd. But then again, she was an oddity these days so who was she to judge? She made her way down into the dining hall area, surprised to see someone already there by the fireplace. "Um... not at all," she replied, grateful that he seemed to be more outgoing than she'd have managed. As she sat down a mug of cocoa appeared in front of her which brought about a smile as she lifted it. "This place is getting more unique by the minute."
@ The Merriwick Inn
Osian had been rather pleased to find the seats by the fire in the dinning hall of the Inn unoccupied when he'd gotten back. As he'd sat a cup of coco had appeared on the small table next to him. He picked it up with a smile and settled in to wait for supper time. It wasn’t long after that that someone else joined him in the empty room. “Would you care to join me?” He called over to them.

"Um... people who aren't really used to slow dancing?" She offered, flushing a bit at the wink. "I don't really want to become the center of attention if I find out in the moment that I have two left feet."
"Who comes to a Masquerade Ball and doesn't dance?" He laughed a little with a wink. "Especially a vampire ball."

"Is that the other thing?" She questioned. "Or did you mean that was the third option?"

"Really?" He frowned at his shoes, feigning innocence. "Well...I guess there's only one other thing we could do. That is unless you prefer small talk and drinks?"

"I didn't say I'd be watching you specifically. Just that I don't really dance much."
"I certainly won't stop you from ogling me. But...what's in it for you?"

His comment made her raise a brow, but then she remembered he'd be able to scent her just as well as she could with him. "Not the newest hybrid... but yes. So, like I said, it's probably my own fault that I don't recognize anyone. Sorry."
He looked at her for a moment, almost feeling bad for his blunt reply. "It's fine. I am not that well know even amongst those who have been here a long time," he paused for a beat, assessing her. One of Klaus's hybrids it seemed. "I'm guessing you're not one who has been her a long time though,"

Kaylee smiled a bit at that. "Fair point... I guess I could give it a shot, if you really want to."
"I find that's the best time to dance. Too many people for anyone to notice how bad you are," he joked.

"Just a bit, yeah... you'd think they invited all of Chicago."
"There are quite a lot of people here, aren't there,"

"I think she's a perfect choice for a masquerade."
"Do not forget she's the queen of the afterlife, not just the goddess of spring,"

"I think dancing would be next in terms of the logical order of things... but I'm not sure I'm much of a dance partner."
“I do find you very charming to be sure. But now what ought I do with you?”

"Oh... I didn't mean to be rude or anything. I don't really know anyone here, for what it's worth."
"No, not many people have, but we're not new to town,"
