Cradled under his other arm is a worn basket full of Pop Pods, Pep-Up Plants, and assorted rare berries. "C'mon, we've gotta move it--this is for your own good, lady!"

Behind the flustered merchant, an Alpha Drapion and her Skorupis are in hot pursuit, clearly targeting the boy who dared venture into their territory for some loot...

She had quite literally just gotten done planting fresh seeds after uprooting some medicinal herbs and pep-up plants, when a frantic looking Barry dashes up to her. Her wrist is grabbed, and she's yanked up from her spot in the grass, totally displaced from what she was doing.

It wasn't until she saw the enraged Alpha Drapion and smaller Skorupis behind him that she understood. The fierce red eyes of the Drapion glowed menacingly, even in the day, and the loud clash of her pincers coming together filled the wilds with a cacophony of noise. Well then.

There would be time for questions later. An Alpha Drapion could easily snap them in half with those claws, and she wasn't sure where her own pokemon were roaming at the moment. They may not even be within hearing range of her whistle. It wasn't until they were well away from the original spot that she notices she left her bag behind in all of the bustle to save their skin... Dammit.

"I think they're starting to give up," Sakura notices, casting a glance over her shoulder. It probably wouldn't hurt to be extra cautious anyways, though.

so i just finished the main story and like. brother. what was that palkia form im going to fucking cry SDKGNFDHN.... i looked up dialga’s too and omfg. if gira saw those she would clown on them so hard 😭

Sakura has worked with Hisui’s clans many times before, establishing a partnership with them, along with the Galactic Team later on down the line. She’s been working with some of the clans since she was 14 years old, keeping a long relationship and offering her services to aid them when necessary.

She has no opinions either way on the iteration of Almighty Sinnoh, though she has listened to each clan talk about the characteristics/ideals of their deity, and finds it interesting how differing their beliefs can be from one another. One thing she has picked up from the clans is the way they treat their pokemon. The pokemon that Sakura has taken in were pokemon that chose to be with her, and not pokemon she captured. Something about the pokeballs the Galactic Team uses is off-putting to her, and she doesn’t see herself ever using such a method on pokemon in the wild. To her, it feels better to allow a pokemon to choose whether it wants to stay with her or not, rather than confining it to an object. She won’t knock people for utilizing this method, it is one that simply isn’t for her.

With her own team, she is able to summon them to her side with a whistle noise she makes by putting her fingers in her mouth, or a whistle used with a blade of grass. There are different tones she’ll whistle in for different situations.

Sakura is very grateful for having the chance to work with Hisui’s clans in the end, making many valuable friendships and partnerships through doing so.

Sakura has seen her share of gruesome injury and death. The wilds of Hisui are unforgiving, and one wrong move can spell disaster for anyone traveling through it. Some injuries are just beyond what she can feasibly take care of, like fatal blood loss and loss of limb. Those are almost always fatal, and no amount of herbal medicine or berries can fix that. All she can do is try to make their last moments comfortable, or make an attempt to rush them somewhere else, hoping that someone can take care of them. Beyond fixing medicines and other remedies, she does know first aid, but again, that only gets her so far and isn’t always a life-saving solution.

She’s accepted from the beginning that she won’t be able to save every injured person and pokemon she comes across, and she has become very acclimated to death, more than anyone should be.

YES agreed 100%!! she works with the clans a lot either helping the sick/injured members (and their pokemon), or selling them her various medicinal concoctions and creams and has gotten a good rapport with them, and the cult of platinum is no exception to that. so it would make total sense for them to become friends through sakura's visits and her time spent there!! :)

Thyme

Anxiety is your middle name. "I suppose I am feeling a bit lost," Sakura admits, swallowing thickly, "I had stopped to help a traveler I found in the Lonely Spring. Their Luxio had been heavily injured, beyond what I could fix. It wound up succumbing to those injuries. I know that... I'm not to blame for it. It is the cruel reality one must face sometimes. I can't stop thinking about it, though. This isn't the first time it has happened either." Unfortunately, she has seen much death. Medicinal herbs only go so far in the end.

"I'm not sure why this one is sticking with me more. Perhaps because the Luxio's companion wasn't as upset as I thought they'd be? They were sad - undoubtedly - but it was almost like they were expecting this to be the outcome." She pauses, lips set in a line momentarily. "Sorry to... trouble you with this. It's- I... am unsure of how I feel. Death is something I have seen much of; this should not be any different, yet it feels different all the same."
