I just installed an extension that helps with that for Chrome (you can't go directly in the settings like in Chrome but you can do something about that anyway, it's just tedious, an extension is simpler)

with it you can set things as you like, like start the video when it's fully buffered or partially buffered:

I miss the days when, no matter how slow your internet was, if you paused any video and let it buffer long enough, you could watch it uninterrupted
