Synopsis:

The film takes us to the Polish coast, revealing it from a completely new, dark perspective. The main plot focuses on two young women murdered in almost identical circumstances over a period of seventeen years. Prosecutor Leopold Bilski and the judge, the mother of one of the victims, investigate, uncovering ever new and dark clues. Their shared determination to find out the truth leads them to dangerous places they previously had no idea about.

may i present to you… Motyl? 🦋 ok, so probably the thing you don’t know yet is that Kuba took part in a project Zadra/Splinter (dir. Grzegorz Mołda), where he plays character with pseudonym Motyl, who is a rapper if i wanted to translate the name it would pass as Butterfly, but let’s stick to polish version, alright? 😂 i hadn’t watched it before when it was in cinemas cause i wasn’t genuinely interested in the subject of the film, i’m not into polish rap really, but since it’s available on polsat box go, here…

…i may give it a go… for Kuba! ✨🫶 in this film he is kind of guide for young girl, the title character, in the world of rap music, we shall see where he leads her 👀

Now: it should count the most, but we often forget this and think about what was or will be. Because of this, moments that are beautiful escape. But how can we enforce carpe diem when we still have to embrace something?

Ahead of me: I hope to lighten up a little, because I still don't understand much of this world. Although I also accept the possibility that 'not knowing' is a permanent state of mind. It takes a lot of courage to say to ourselves "I don't know".

The moment of glory: is when you find out you've been cast. Then you can be happy. Then there is work, and there are various moments, some very positive, but hardly glorious. Awards or accolades primarily drive prosperity, but it's always a nice feeling to get an award, isn't it?

My city, and there it is: some moron honking and shouting, someone counting change on a bench, the police are scaring people everywhere, smog is suffocating, no one can afford a flat, and no one is looking after the whole mess. Happy those who chant "Legia" while zigzagging at night. Then spring comes and everything looks different and better. They don't honk so much any more, it's not so grey any more. Then you can walk around the city aimlessly for hours. It's a very inspiring occupation.

Day or night? It blends together. You get up at night, go to bed in the afternoon. Or you stay up all night to work during the day, and so on for a few days, only to get up again at six in the morning. The film is dependent on the weather, exposure and shooting permits, and I am dependent on the film.

As a child: everything seems simple. Maybe it's simple. Growing up is a process of forgetting. Maybe children know the secrets of the world and it is they who should be listened to most attentively? Everything that follows is an unpleasant consequence of being born, so we often return with our thoughts to the country of childhood, because there is a secret written there, there we were probably "more knowing".

JAKUB GIERSZAŁ about his role of Wolfram von Kamitz in The White Courage (Biała Odwaga)

For me, 'The White Courage' is a film about the attitudes of people in a given historical context. This context is, of course, important, but for me as an actor who has been hired to fill in a certain dramatic flow of the whole thing, the most important thing is the people. And that is why I was interested in the character of Kamitz, whom I perceive as a deeply tragic hero.
