Today, I saw a man on a wheelchair with his labrador pushing the wheels with all his power and strength up on a hill. Watching them together reminds me of warm apple pie, tummy aches from hearty laughter and tight hugs. Teamwork, resilience and unconditional love. Feels like home. #helloautumn #melbournesnaps #afternoonmusings #onesunnyafternoon (at Kensington, Victoria)

Life is a teacher and Love is the reward in all its forms. When we can see love where darkness used to reside we can finally turn our lives and those around us into something glorious. “You have to keep breaking your heart until it opens." "There are some things you can’t understand yet. Your life will be a great and continuous unfolding. Whatever happens to you belongs to you. Make it yours. Feed it to yourself even if it feels impossible. Let it nurture you, because it will.” #todaysread #dearsugar #cherylstrayed (at Sugar & Ice)

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. (1 Corinthians 13:7) One of the points that Paul makes in this wonderful text is that agape love “endureth all things". The word “endureth” is the Greek word: hupomeno. Hupo which means under, and the word meno, which means to stay or to abide. Compounded together, it depicts the attitude of a person who is under a heavy load but refuses to surrender to defeat because he knows he is in his place. Because this person knows he is where he’s supposed to be, he has therefore decided that regardless of what tries to come against him, he is going to stay put and refuse to move. This means agape never quits or throws in the towel. It simply doesn’t know how to quit. Real agape says, “I’m committed to be here — to stay with you and to work it out, regardless of the cost or the time involved. I am not quitting. I am here to stay!” You see, that is what the Bible means when it says love “endureth all things.” This kind of love is completely contrary to the flesh, which says, “I’ve done all I’m going to do. I’m not wasting any more of my life. I’m finished, and I’m leaving!” A contemporary translation of the phrase “endureth all things” could be the following: "Love never quits, never surrenders, and never gives up.” #NTS: Learn to operate in this high-level agape love of God. Hope doesn't wait for God's Word to come to pass, but instead, hope works the Word while it waits. What does God's Word have to say about your struggle? Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. (Isaiah 431:19) Mercy and peace and love be multiplied to you. (Jude 1:2) #lookupbuttercup

Because of the Lord ʼs great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22‭-‬23)

Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth #peace to men on whom his favor rests.' (Luke 2:13-14) In Hebrew, the word for peace is "#shalom," a kind of well-wishing that says it all: may you be healthy, whole, complete. May you know where you fit in the universe, and may you have tranquility in that. Augustine said that peace is "the tranquility of order." Christmas shalom is the confidence that when God's favor, his undeserved grace, rests on us, we will know a peace that goes beyond understanding. The peace that comes because Christ came into the world and put things in order, beginning with his birth, completed in his sacrificial death and triumphant resurrection. Friends and loved ones, may God's favor rest on you today and may He let you stand in the peace that Christ has made possible. Merry #CHRISTmas! 💙 (c) #TheBrookNetwork

"God is patient. God is kind. He doesn’t envy. He doesn’t boast. His ways are higher than my own. His thoughts consume the great unknown. Of this alone I'm sure, my God is love." As long as life remains, He is faithful. His promises will never fail. Breathe, beautiful. Draw your breath under His created windswept sky. Friends, this world is not your home, so don’t make yourselves cozy in it. Don’t indulge your ego at the expense of your soul. Live an exemplary life among the natives so that your actions will refute their prejudices. (1 Peter 2:11) To all who mourn, He will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory. (Isaiah 61:3) Slow down. Read that over and over again, beautiful. Trust the Man that died for you.🌷 #TeamJesus #NP #TellMe #SunlightandShadows

Love is not easily irritated or quick to take offense. Love joyfully celebrates honesty and finds no delight in what is wrong. (1 Corinthians 13:6 TPT) Shame cannot survive empathy and honesty. Transformation can only take place in our lives when we get vulnerable and real. Smother the irritations, offenses and dishonesty with love and disarm them with empathy. @pocketfuel
