Writing is basically falling in love with an idea,

then immediately doubting if you're good enough for it.

I absolutely refuse to accept that you’ve never done anything even remotely passable in your life ever. You’re not shit. You’re not incapable of creating anything good. You’re a typical average hobbyist with self-deprecation issues and imposter syndrome. Chill the F out

If you genuinely, honestly believe that you’ve never made anything of acceptable quality in your entire life, explore that. Why do you feel that way? What’s something that you feel lowers the quality of your work? What standard are you not meeting? Turn it into something actionable and go through some trial and error. Maybe it’s not about your work at all, and you need to work on yourself first. Do that

You would never talk about any other aspiring writer the way you did about yourself. Why are you any different? Why do you uniquely deserve horrible things being said about you online? That’s not something we should be tolerating, even from ourselves. The only times we want to hear those things about ourselves is when we’re talking through our feelings in order to express ourselves and make headway in bettering ourselves. Not as some shitty punchline. Not as some self-hate soapbox. This is not a healthy or appropriate way to talk about anyone, and you’re anyone, so be a bit goddamn nicer to yourself while you’re at it

Do you wanna know how much I don't like AI? In my script that's supposed to be a commentary about how we shouldn't use AI, I WANT TO GET RID OF THE AI PLOT LINE.

I want to cut out the plot about AI despite the fact that the whole thing is a moral story about AI because it's dragging the story down.

Character A is walking through a battlefield with a blank expression. No sense of urgency in their steps, but they still move with purpose.

And over that, it keeps cutting to Character B, running for their life in the same direction.

Not away from A.

TO them.

This could be several things but in my head and bodysnatching plot came up with this. Like A is pretending to be B and the rest of B's friends will die if A gets to them, so B is running as fast as they can to stop A before it's too late.

But this could probably be other things too

It was a very random vision that I dont have a story for so I give it to you guys

Soft prompts to make you YEARN

✭ brushing your thumb over their knuckles while you're both not saying a word, just existing quietly in the same space like it's the most sacred thing.

✭ them absentmindedly playing with the hem of your sleeve because they want to touch you but aren’t ready to say it yet.

✭ “can i kiss you?” whispered like they’re afraid the moment might shatter if they speak too loud.

✭ their voice cracking just a little when they say your name for the first time in a long time.

✭ them resting their forehead against yours and just… staying there. No words. No movement. Just breath. Just nearness.

✭ sharing headphones and they keep looking at you during the best part of the song. you don’t even know what the song means to them but suddenly it means everything to you.

✭ "stay the night?" said so soft it might’ve been a wish.

✭ dragging their fingers gently down your back like they’re trying to memorize the map of your spine.

✭ tracing your features with their fingertip like you're a sculpture in a museum and they were not supposed to touch you, but god, they can’t help it.

✭ “don’t leave yet.” not because you’re going somewhere. but because being with you is the safest they’ve felt all day.

✭ their voice in the dark. low. quiet. like the night is just for you two.

✭ "this reminded me of you" and it’s just a stupid rock or a weird leaf but you hold onto it like it's a diamond because it's you to them.

✭ laying in bed, face smushed into the pillow, sleep-drunk and murmuring, “you make me feel like i’m home.”

✭ them looking at you like you're not just a person, but their favorite story. one they’ve been rereading since forever and still keep finding new parts to fall in love with.
