Obsessions...TV Dramas.. ;P

Okay so I have a major obsession with TV, but mostly Asian dramas! They're like the quintessential awkward moment/ romantic coincidences you could ever put together and they make a show out of it. Considering most of it comes from the Manga/Anime world it's even better.  Because there's never any restrictions on what is possible and all that.

Currently I'm watching "Playful Kiss" which is just the dorkiest/awkwardest show ever, but I love it! romcoms are my favorite type of dramas! 

I've reverted back to my childhood/high school days where I couldn't get enough... maybe because I do not want to be an adult yet... then again high school shows are just so much more drama filled because each high schooler thinks their life is over for ever little situation. 

Just wishing that Hulu & Netfilx offered JDramas as much as they offer KDramas... I know there is a huge Korean population in the USA but come on! There's Japanese people too! And I can't afford AT&T JapanTV to watch one episode per month of a show that aired several years ago... So it would be nice to watch current ones and oldies but goodies alike to people that need a pick me up like myself. 

Just a thought people of the TV persuasion!

Election... Denial vs Truth

So as I'm looking at the polls and looking at facebook and seeing all the people who voted for Walker and how they are proud.. Some of these are WOMEN. I don't think they knew that Walker wants to make sure Women stay at home, get lower income than males, and if you're an Union worker or teacher forget it! You're screwed. Do you know how hard teachers and union workers work? Especially teachers. They do not get paid overtime, they work more than 80 hours a week to make sure the future potentially your kids succeed in life. If you have not very good teachers, you're not going to have a good future.

So I might have read every freakin' detail of each person's campaign but I know what each has stood for in the past and present. It's hard to not get riled up and rant on and on about Walker being the scum of earth for this ideology which is similar to some regime but he is not the only one that makes these laws pass in our state. There are many of them that need to be re-evaluated.  

Yes giving tax cuts to corporations help create jobs but only jobs that pay min. wage. They will bring outside WI to have the upper management and salary employees for their company because they're looking for the best.  Usually most companies do not want to hire 100% or even 50% from within the state they're planning to build. Because it would devastate the economy if the company goes under.  So then those high paying jobs are given to out of state people from the company and if the venture doesn't turn out they can leave and won't feel "bad" devastating the unemployment rate for that state.  

So how many minimum wage jobs do you need to get paid the same as a corporate salaried employee? at least 3-8 jobs. Hmmm... that would be rough.

Also unemployment going down means that even one person getting a min. wage job at mcD's counts. Will that person be able to support themselves? HELL NO! So maybe the unemployment is down, but definitely not underemployment. 

This is why I do not like politics. It's not rational, logical, or straight forward. It goes so against my logical part of my mind. And because Walker is winning 54% of 86% of precincts doesn't mean he wins. That means Barrett having 45% is only 9%  away from closing the gap. So the rest of the 14% of the population votes has a majority Barrett means Barrett will win. If it was like 70% to 29% Walker to Barrett I would definitely say Walker one. But you can't make claims to a 9% difference when almost 15% of the votes haven't been counted. Especially when Milwaukee has only 2% of the precincts reported in. Hello! Milwaukee is a major metropolitan area meaning lots of people! I'm just hoping that every person that could vote voted! 

I know this is very subjected to my view of being raised in a democratic household and my Japanese side being all socialists. It is hard for me to see people suffering for the more fortunate. And this is what Walker is doing even if people do not think so. Unions are here for a reason. Yes they take money out of your paycheck but that money is going to a good cause of making sure you don't work 90 hrs a week and only get paid for 40. Or have to work 24/7 for few weeks and get a week off and only see your family for that week off. That doesn't seem like a bad thing. I'm sure there was corruption in the unions but everyone has the ability of greed, power hunger, and manipulation in them, considering the country we live in. It's everywhere especially politics. 

So the blue collar people who are republicans are the ones I do not understand. Maybe because the stereo-type is hard to imagine. A beat up car with "Stand with Walker" bumper sticker on. You know if you had equal opportunity, better education, and tools that help you get out of the whole you came from with that junker of a car. You could be living in a nice home with a nice car?

The people that want take out planned parent hood, unemployment benefits, and free public facilities&services, doesn't realize that maybe one day they might need it because your job might be gone in a few years, or you get in a really bad car accident and you can no longer care for yourself so you need help of medicare and medicaid, and meals on wheels and disability benefits. Do you know where that comes from taxes. Yes taxes! Shocking they're not just stealing money from you to spite you and get their way and you left with nothing. You're paying those like health and life insurance. You want to make sure you have a safety net so you don't die of starvation from not being able to pay the doctors bills, or have your family pay for them and have them be homeless. Or if that happens that they won't starve or have to live under a bridge there will be something like a homeless shelter where they can get food and blankets and have at least a bed to sleep in. All of these things are being paid for by the taxes and government funds(more taxes and others).

Yes it always kills me to see how much I've given away to federal and state taxes but then I look at all the other possibilities. Like what if you get laid-off, what if because no one wants to pay taxes all the criminals are released? What if because you're laid off the state decides to put you in something like jail to force you to do manual labor so you can get food.  There are so many possibilities and none of them are great. 

Socialists have lots of ideals that are not that realistic but they have good qualities that should be looked at. People are greedy, self-centered people. That's where it's hard to put ideals to reality.  Unless you're using their self-preservation/greed to put your ideals in their minds.  Like taking real civil rights out of the equation of weight the options. 

Okay I should stop ranting it's starting to not make sense. I wish I could be blissfully ignorant like some people. I care too much for the future and present to not be ignorant.

Okay so I have only saw 2 of the 16 groups and I love them all so far! The Yellow Jackets are the bomb for going to Kenya! But especially awesome for doing "Waving Flag"!!! That's one of my favorite songs! 

I can't wait to hear all the rest of the groups sing! I'm sure they are all great because they're doing all of this with only their voices!

Oh Afro-Blue is just awesome as well! Oh I don't think I could choose who I want to win the competition!

Getting wedding invites..

So I'm not a person that would want to be in a marriage but definitely want a wedding to just drink and have a blast! Especially attending the reception is basically the only thing that I would want/need... 

So I've been invited to several different weddings in the past few years and recently today... and I keep thinking to myself... I need to find someone to take to these weddings... and wish I had someone that I could share such a huge party with... but alas there is no such person that I would consider a boyfriend or significant other because I don't have one... I can't seem to attract any such person since a while now... I don't think I'm a bad person, just blunt, sarcastic, and could be really bitchy at times... 

I really would just like to have someone to come home to and snuggle with in winter and and play water balloon fights with in summer... is that too hard to ask for?

Apparently yes it is... because I don't try but I want things to just spontaneously happen... which has always been my downfall... haha
