There are two skills I have little to no practice in when it comes to illustrating: backgrounds & lighting. I shy away from practicing them in fear of messing up what I already created. HOWEVER, one of my new year resolutions is to force myself to do it even when I’m uncomfortable. I had to watch a lot of tutorials on youtube to even get this far.
