When you realize nobody’s journey really count but your own. Nothing a girl can say should make you jealous because it’s just a proof of what is possible for you. No matter what they do or their sponsors give them, they are not you and you don’t want to be them anyway. I want to be me but better. I want to live my life but better. Nobody can sing your song the way you do.

there’re people whose sources of comfort lie in your works. you may not know it, but I promise you there’re people who get super excited whenever they see you update, there’re people who look forward for their shift/school to be over so they can go home and read your works. there’re people who reread your works because they love what you wrote that much. and there’re people whose role model is you. maybe they’re just too shy to tell you this, and that’s okay. you are super awesome and you should be proud of yourself.

to all the beautiful, endlessly creative people who responded to the post about the difficulties with writing, and potentially aiming for any kind of publishing route in your future when you are low income and struggling to find the time beyond survival for your creative endeavours, please know that I see you, I feel you, I am you, and I want you to know that even if the road seems difficult, if not near-on impossible at times, even if it takes you years to reach where you want to be with your stories, you are not alone in this. there is a patient audience out there, awaiting your stories from your perspective, uniquely deepened by your insight, understanding and experiences, and I wish you all the luck and success in the world 💕

document your life: get a polaroid camera take loads of pictures, print them and stick them in an photo album, record videos and save them to a hard drive, record mini vlogs and upload them privately to your YouTube to watch later in life, journal about your hardest moments, collect things from the moments that brought you great joy and happiness….
