Hi Keith
You are always so nice and your work is amazing! I hope the receivers of your letters appreciate the work and talent you put on it.
Thank you for the likes. I am not anywhere near your talent, I am an art framer that has done this work for over 30 years. Thanks again!
Thanks Efrain for your message! I've enjoyed looking at your art here. It's an interesting shift in your work recently....towards a more abstract approach.
I hope that you continue to post, and thank you for your kind words regarding my postal art......
Keith

Above; A view of the shoreline on Koh Chang, Thailand, watercolor and collage, on envelope. 4in. by 8.5in. Below is the reverse of the envelope, cribbed from the Raffles Hotel in Siem Riep, Cambodia. The small watercolor sketch is by me and the delivery stamp is from the Mexican postal service, recording the delivery date to Mexico from Thailand. (It took about 6 weeks to arrive, btw).

Rembrandt Tulip, oil and collage on envelope by Keith Miller.
I used another of my botanical paintings when I designed the stamp on the right. The unlikely air mail sticker uses a photo of the Hindenburg disaster. (I hope that image is in the public domain by now.)

Tw0 Cats, Kochi, India, watercolor and collage on envelope by Keith Miller
In the lower right is an airmail sticker I designed using one of my sketches done in the Seoul, S. Korea airport. The India stamp, top right also uses one of my watercolors- that one done in Pushkar. The two Ghandi stamps are genuine.

Indian Fig, Mahe, Kerala, India, watercolor, colored pencil, collage on postcard by Keith Miller.
Mahe is a small former French trading post on India's Malabar coast administered as part of the Union Territory of Puducherry. Mahe, the town is small with reminders of its French roots- a large Catholic church, street names in French and most noticeable, a multitude of establishments retailing alcohol.

Danzante y Jaguar, gouache, watercolor, collage on paper, 7.5in. by 10in. by Keith Miller.
An illustrated letter showing an indigenous dancer; a common sight on many weekends in the main square of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Needless to say the Jaguars are too scarce and too dangerous to be used in any such ceremonies.

View from Hotel Sai Riviere, Cavelossim, India, watercolor, collage on envelope. I usually take along a variety of envelopes on trips for my postal art pieces. In this case it was a from the old Oriental Hotel, Bangkok; typical stationary used by guests. Not that I stayed there, but a friend did. The Oriental is 5 star territory. In those days I stayed at a 10 dollar guesthouse also with a great view of the river. I can't remember what the Sai Riviere charged- probably 30 dollars or so. But again, a nice view of a river flowing into the sea came with this room on India's west coast.
