As promised, and requested, a bottle sealing post!
A important reminder first– be careful when you’re using candles, don’t set your shit on fire. You can use any candle for this, I use different candles (colors and scents) depending on what I associate with the bottle I’m making (yellow & lemon for happiness, blue for sleep, etc.) you don’t have to do this, but you can. You can also use regular candles instead on tea lights, but tea lights usually melt faster for me.
Also, I don’t know (or actually care?) if this is the proper way to seal a bottle with wax, witchcraft doesn’t need to be fancy, and my personal craft is focused on using what I already have, and going out to purchase “special” items as little as possible, nothing wrong if you do, but I am a very small budget witch, and I like the challenge that comes with it. I happen to be a bit candle crazy, so this works well for me.
Okay, so here we go!
Set down a piece of paper if you don’t want to get wax on your stuff, light that little tea candle (or regular candle) and let it start to melt. I usually light my candle before I start putting together my bottle, so it is usually close to ready by the time I’m done.
Once the tea light is melted all the way (or big candle, deep enough to dip) I dip the top in! If you are using a bigger bottle than I am, you can remove the wick usually with a pair of tweezers, but I don’t like to do this because I never use all the wax, so it’s a waste if I take out the wick!
Pull it out, you can blow on it to help it cool faster, dip it again, out, blow on it, a few times until it’s pretty covered and the top is pretty solidly covered (pictured is after the first dip! But you can see how covered it was when I start pouring wax in the next photo)
If you want the drippy-witchy-wax look, (carefully) pick up your candle and pour wax over the bottle top (see why we put that paper down, now?) I usually smooth out the top with my thumb, gently while it’s cooling down. Once cooled down the wax on the paper usually comes right up, and I usually stick it back in the candle to melt down for later.
Usually I stick mine in the fridge to cool down and harden (my house is warm bc we don’t control the heat)
And ta-da! Your bottle is sealed up. Also, I think you could probably carve a sigil in the top if you’re into sigils (I don’t personally use them, but I imagine you could!)
There we go, it’s super easy, no one taught me how, I just sat down and was like “OKAY, so how am I going to seal this without covering the whole damn bottle in wax????” and this is what I came up with! If you don’t want whatever is in your jar to move around (I usually pack mine pretty tight, so it’s okay) I would just pour the wax on top, it will be messier though.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to shoot them over my way!
Have a beautiful day, babies. I hope this was helpful!
- a post for the anti-anxiety bottle pictured here is coming soon! -

September is here and so is Virgo’s month! Try it this near full moon! *:・゚✧
The potion can vary on quantities depending on how much you want to do. This should make it for a couple of glasses.
When you wake up (after drinking the potion and going to sleep) make sure to write your dreams first thing in the morning. A Glimpse of the future should have appeared in them! (ノ´ヮ´)ノ*:・゚✧ More Zodiac Potions: here

🌙 Making Moon Water 🌙
🌙 how do i make moon water?
get some water, leave it out under the moonlight, for as little as an hour to as long as all night, as long as it feels charged. bottle it before it touches direct sunlight, keep it in a shadowy place.
🌙 what can i use moon water for?
moon water is called for in a lot of spells, but it can also be used in potions, cleansing, bath spells, anything you might need the moon’s power for.
🌙 does it have to be done during the full moon?
it can be done during any phase, but keep in mind, each phase will rend different properties. full moon water will have different magical properties than moon water made during the new moon or a quarter moon, or a waxing or waning moon. here’s a quick guide on each phases’ meanings
🌙 what can you put it in and what can’t you?
you can put herbs in it if you like, i would avoid putting crystals in it because that can damage them and make them dissolve and it could make the water toxic, etc. most edible herbs are fine though!
🌙 does it need direct moonlight at all times?
it does not need to be direct moonlight constantly, after it’s charged, if you don’t need to recharge it unless you can’t feel its energy anymore.
🌙 does being in the sun negate the moon water’s magic?
according to some witches it doesn’t, but according to others being in the sun will make it sun water, or sun&moon water. ultimately this is up to you.
🌙 there’s light pollution/something blocking the moon, will it still work?
thankfully light bounces off stuff, including the moon’s! it might not be as possibly potent as you could make it, but in which case you could leave it out a little bit longer.
🌙 can you use snow/rain/storm/etc water to make moon water?
you can use whatever kind of magical water you want to make a combination of waters, snow-moon water, storm-moon water, etc. however, keep in mind it may give the moon water a bit of an extra magical quality.
🌙 do i have to use a clear bottle/jar?
if the light can shine through it, it’ll work. you can make it with whatever kind of bottle you like as long as the light can touch the water in some ways.

Samhain Cinnamon Apple Crisps

Hi everyone, hope you’re all well. I’ve just finished cooking up a batch of my own homemade Apple Crisps and thought I would share this wonderful and super quick recipe with you. Not only is this speedy snack great for Samhain/Halloween, it contains ingredients used for protection etc, can be used as an offering for your God or Goddess, is a healthy variation to supermarket bought crisps AND is suitable for vegans/vegetarians, did I already mention they are super quick to make? Without further ado, let’s get started!
You will need:
1 whole apple.
A sprinkle of cinnamon.
A dash of brown sugar. ( You can use white sugar but I prefer brown as it produces a lovely thick syrup texture and has a gorgeous coffee flavouring to it ).
How to make:
Cut your apple into thin slices. Not too thin or they will burn and not to thick or they won’t turn into crisps!
Line a baking tray with non-stick baking paper.
Place your apple slices onto your tray and start to add your toppings. Use as much as you wish.
Cook your apple slices in the oven on gas mark 4/ 180°C / 350°F for fifteen minutes. ( A few of my crisps did burn, so depending on how thin you cut your apple and how powerful your oven is, feel free to change the time and settings ).
Ingredients used in Witchcraft:
Cinnamon: Associated with the elements of fire and the sun. Magikal uses are - good luck, love, money, passion, peace, prosperity, protection, psychic development, success and wisdom.
Apples: Scared to many Goddessses including Aphrodite. Magikal uses are - fidelity, fertility, marriage, beauty, vanity, wisdom, the soul, the afterlife and immortality.
Brown Sugar: Healing, love and sweetness.
That’s all there is to it! I hope you enjoyed this recipe and your finished product. Please do not remove the source and have a safe, happy and blessed Samhain. Let me know how your Apple Crisps turn out!

some crystals for beginners ✨
so, first of all, crystals will vary for individuals. one person may say that their number one is celestite etc while others will say something else. this is ok! they each have their own properties, which will probably tailor to their own craft needs!
In no particular order:
CLEAR QUARTZ (or any type)
clear quartz is very versatile, it can be used/programmed for any purpose!! i feel like clear quartz works so well with us is because clear quartz and our own bodies have silica! (though ours are liquid silica crystals). clear quartz is known as a “master healer” and will amplify energy, as well as the effect of other crystals. BASICALLY, IF YOU’RE JUST STARTING YOUR COLLECTION GET SOME CLEAR QUARTZ!!
ROSE QUARTZ
rose quartz is the universal stone of love, calmness, gentleness, and compassion. generally, this is just a great stone to be around!
AMETHYST
yep. another quartz. are we noticing a trend here?!?! i looooove amethyst. i feel like it is such a protective stone, and, is great for purification! amethyst is also great to develop psychic skills.
SELENITE
maybe i’m just being biased because selenite is my favourite stone… but i honestly don’t know what i’d do without it! selenite has great mental clarity and psychic qualities, but the main one that amazes me is the fact selenite charges other crystals! i usually charge my other crystals on a selenite slab and logs. it also has strong ties to the moon!
CITRINE
this crystal can be used to detoxify negative energies and encourage a more positive state of mind. it is also great for bringing prosperity & abundance!
THINGS I WISH I KNEW FROM THE START
selenite is really easy to break.. maybe it isnt a ‘beginner’ crystal for clumsy witches (like me)
some crystals will be damaged in water
some crystals fade in sunlight
cleansing is important!! i admit it doesnt have to be done all the time, but it should be done at least once!
opalite is just… pretty glass. and it usually gets marketed as moonstone!
most commercially available citrine on the market is heated amethyst, though it’s still good to use as citrine!

You know how people describe bpd with black and white thinking?
If you don’t have bpd, it is impossible to explain how much this effects our lives. (My life at least because people casually get offended when i generalize what i mean with people like me in mind.)
Just. My point is, I am tired of having no grays.
I either try to starve myself while feeling guilty for not eating healthy or I eat 5 chocolate bars in a row and then spent the rest of the day feeling disgusting and fat.
It is just chocolate. I can’t enjoy a fucking chocholate.
And not just that either;
I don’t go out for months and then one day at a weird ass hour I am out there trying to figure out things to do so I don’t have to go back home any time soon.
I ignore cleaning my room for weeks and then I am cleaning between the tiles with a toothbrush because there may be dirt in there.
I don’t shower for days, sometimes almost weeks, and then I am busy spending an entire day with beauty products because self care is important.
I hate myself for who I became because it is my fault or I hate people who made me this way because it is not my fault.
All I need to get my life back together is just to start doing something but then I see no point in trying because no matter what I do I know it will never be enough to get my life back together ever again.
I am just so tired. That is all I am saying.

ok but no one talks about how bad dissociation really is. there is nothing worse than taking a look out of your window and feeling like you are stuck in a fake reality. you don’t know where you are and you can’t get out of it. it’s like things are fading away, it’s like you are disappearing. people are robots. you are dreaming. you are stuck. you are not a prisoner in a fake world. when you look at your body, you hope to feel something, but those are not your hands, those are not your legs, not your face, not you. who are you? look at the details in your face, your mouth, your eyes, who created all of these things? because it’s not you, it’s not real. you are not a person, you are something, a thought. there is nothing worse than feeling like you don’t belong anywhere, not even your own body or your own place.

things i hate about bpd
- your mood is not the only thing that will change in one sec, your decisions will too.
- the pain you feel in your chest whenever you are thinking or feeling something too much.
- the ability to show physical symptoms to every thing you feel too intensely.
- you hate to be alone, but at the same time you’re isolating from all of your friends.
- suddenly you just get tired of someone you love a lot.
- but now you’re not tired of them anymore and you need them to live and how can you stay away from them for just one second? impossible.
- you just don’t understand how there’s so much anger in you.
- headaches.
- stomach ache.
- the world is not real sometimes.
- feeling like you will lose control and getting suffocated by it.
- seeing a knife and thinking about cutting, seeing a bridge and thinking about jumping, seeing a car and thinking about being run over.
- feeling intensely two things at the same time.

one of the worst things about BPD is having mood swings so intensely and such a fear of abandonment that you feel sick. you feel your head aching when you go to an extreme to another, you feel nauseous when someone does something minor that, for you, means that they will leave. you are constantly worried and constantly tired that sometimes getting out of bed hurts your entire body. bpd is not only mental symptoms.

13 Things Anyone Who Loves A Highly Sensitive Person Should Know
Some people are just more sensitive than others, and that’s not always a bad thing. Approximately one in five people – women and men – can be classified HSP, or as a highly sensitive person, according to HSP researcher and psychologist Elaine Aron, Ph.D. That makes it highly likely you know and love someone with the personality trait.
Below are a few things to keep in mind about your highly sensitive loved ones.
1. We’re going to cry.
When we’re happy, when we’re sad and when we’re angry. That’s because highly sensitive people just naturally feel more deeply and react accordingly.
2. Not all of us are introverts.
Introversion does not equal sensitivity. In fact, according to Aron’s research, approximately 30 percent of highly sensitive people are extroverts.
3. Decisions make us nervous.
Highly sensitive individuals are notoriously bad at making choices – even if it’s just picking out where to go to dinner. This is mostly because we agonize over the possibility of making the wrong one. (What if the food is bad?!)
4. We notice that subtle change in your tone.
If you normally end each text message with an exclamation point and lately you’ve been using a period, you better believe we’ll pick up on it. Highly sensitive people are generally more intuitive when it comes to the tiny nuances of our environment and we’re more affected by shifts in other people’s moods.
5. We’re always willing to hear you vent.
Don’t be afraid to reach out to use us when you need a shoulder to lean on. Our overly-empathetic nature allows us to be excellent listeners when you need it, because when you feel pain so do we – and we want to do whatever we can to make you feel comfortable. Highly sensitive people make excellent teachers, therapists and managers for this reason.
6. Repetitive and loud noises are the worst.
Loud chewing, a barreling train, boisterous co-workers: You name it, we’re sensitive to it. That’s because chaotic or overstimulating environments have more of an influence on HSPs, according to Aron.
7. Our workplace habits are a bit atypical.
Working from home or in a quiet space is a dream for highly sensitive people – especially because it allows us to focus if we become too overwhelmed. However, don’t let our solo work ethic fool you. “Sensitive people can use their observations to their advantage … They’re going to rise to the top,” Aron previously told HuffPost. “They know how to bring ideas up without being ridiculed or scorned.” HSPs also make excellent team players due to our analytical nature and thoughtfulness for others’ ideas (just don’t force us to make the final decision on a project).
8. Don’t ask us to see that new slasher movie.
That same high empathy we experience for others combined with over-stimulation makes gory, violent films truly terrible for highly sensitive people.
9. Criticism is incredibly distressing.
As a result, we tend to avoid anything that may cause those feelings of shame. This may mean we engage in people-pleasing or self-deprecating behavior more than most of our peers. In other words, we’re far from perfect.
10. We’re constantly being told we take things too personally.
A joke at our expense sometimes just isn’t a joke to us. We know it’s a little silly to be upset, but what else are we supposed to do with all of our feelings?
11. We have a low pain tolerance.
Pass the ice, please. It doesn’t matter if it’s a broken arm or just a stubbed toe, any injury really hurts. This is because highly sensitive people are more affected by pain than others, according to Aron’s research.
12. We crave deep relationships.
According to Aron, highly sensitive people tend to get more bored in marriages than non-HSP couples, mostly due to the lack of meaningful interaction that naturally occurs as time goes on. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean we’re dissatisfied with the relationship – we just need to find a way to have more stimulating conversations.
13. We can’t just stop being highly sensitive.
A 2014 study published in the journal Brain and Behavior found that highly sensitive people experienced more activity in regions of the brain associated with empathy and awareness when exposed to pictures of emotional individuals than the average person. In other words, we’re neurologically wired to behave the way that we do.
With that in mind, know that the best way to love us is to support us. Try not to shame us for our sensitivity. Tell us it’s okay to feel the way we do. And in return, we’ll try not to tear up over your kind words (no promises, though). (source)
