Your head cannons are pretty cool! I had a lot of fun reading through it. Although – wouldn’t the karma gate protecting the access shaft keep most animals out of the puppet chamber? Lizards can’t activate them on their own. The only creatures who seem to be able to use them are slugcats and scavengers.

Also your Moon design is really cute! I like the little stars under her eyes.

My head cannon for how the iterators have soft skin that can also deflect spears… Is that their skin contains a layer of an incredibly durable and pierce resistant mesh with in it. The armor mesh makes their puppet near indestructible, yet still allows for a lot of flexibility and overall softness.

I think I might be one of the only artists in this fandom who draws iterators like this… Not sure why though – they look soft and organic like this in the game! I mean, yeah sure, they are robots – but not in a way most people would be familiar with… They’re purposed organisms, aka living machines made of conjoined metal and flesh. Striping them of their biological qualities, is striping them of one of their main defining features! Also, they look really cute this way! I want to hug them, I want to snuggle them, and I also kind of want to bite them… Sig especially.

I looked through your art for more… And noticed that your AU is almost exactly like mine! I actually thought you copied me for a moment there – until I noticed that you posted your first post for it first!

@exo-dus404 That’s okay, if I notice any of my designs looking too similar to yours, I’ll let you know so you can tell me if I’m cutting it too close. That way I can come up with a compromise that would work for you!

I like getting inspired by other people’s art, but I would also hate to upset anyone – which is why I ask about this sort of thing.

I absolutely love your art style and character designs, it’s just so cool!

If you don’t mind me asking – was there anything in particular that inspired you? I feel like I’ve seen a similar style of futuristic designs before, but I don’t have the means to better explain it other than just the vibes. If you could share some of your knowledge on the matter, that would be great!

Also, not sure if it’s rude to ask – but is it alright if end up getting a little inspired by your designs? I’ll refrain from it, if that would make you uncomfortable, though… I’m a bit of a character designer myself, so I would totally understand if it did. Just know that this sort of temptation in me comes from respect and admiration for another artist’s work.

I don’t have anything that especially inspired me—if anything, i believe this particular design style is similar to urban techwear aesthetics? (Idk) I have a deep passion for sci-fi concepts in general and I love everything sci-fi and mecha related! I believe my style was impacted by my time spent in the Transformers fandom as well as from watching many sci-fi shows!

As i stated in my bio, I’m not very comfortable with people taking inspirations from my designs, I’m very sorry for that😭 but if they’re very subtle and properly credited then I think it would be okay!

Wow, I wasn’t expecting to get so much good reception for the Rot Merged AU this early on! This really means so much to me to see that so many people are interested in it. Especially since I plan on doing more with it in the near future. Although, it should be mentioned that it wont be my only focus, as I like to jump back and forth between my projects to prevent burnout.

Yeah, same. It also bugs me. I've gotten used to it though, also, I like being mostly cannon compliant with my designs, so I just stick with it.

Does anyone think that it’s rlly backwards that Moon’s(who is blue) overseer is yellow and Pebbles’(who is known for the yellow spots on him) has a blue overseer?

Not sure if iterators would naturally have a fear of heights at all… Either way, it’s still best to be cautious over such heights.

So I know that a few other artist have already made similar designs with the same general concept… But I’ve grown really attached to this little AU that I made – even if it isn’t the most unique.

Anyway, it’s a fairly simple off the strings AU, with a rot themed twist ^_^
