the blessing of today.
"This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."-Psalm 118:24.
Often we praise the Lord for things that are going right, for things that are obvious blessings, but I know that I don't always praise the Lord for today. Just the ability to live in this day and to have another opportunity to serve Him and love people. Rejoice in the Lord that He has blessed us with this day. No matter what the day will hold, it is a day that is a gift, and it is a blessing. Delight in His presence today, and every day after that, for He is crazy good. He is a Lord that is jealous for us!

evening praise.
Tonight was a lovely evening. Spent a good while sitting with my dog just playing music for the Lord. I'm not amazingly talented, but I know that the Lord delights in my song, even if I'm no professional, because I'm singing praise to Him. What a lovely and beautiful God we have. He loves us, and loves what we do for Him. I often feel like what I offer God is some kindergarten art project that really isn't that great, but He loves it because He is my Father. So I'll keep singing to the Son who saves, the One who pulled me up out of the miry clay, the One who saved me from myself, the One who shed His blood for a sinner like me. What an amazing God we have. What a beautiful relationship it is.
