In case anyone’s confused, poorly imitating AAVE in order to mock black people for saying that it’s racist to consistently avoid depicting Egyptians as black -as so much of Hollywood and “western” academia traditionally has- is racist.

1) You can believe whatever you want, but people have the right to criticize you on those beliefs. I also notice how you worded the temple’s practices into a euphemism. The practice in question is excluding transgender individuals which is pretty much the definition of transphobia. A temple can certainly choose to do this. It’s completely legal to do it, but these beliefs and private business practices can also be transphobic and morally wrong. 

2) Speculating publicly that a person identifies as genderfluid solely for “victim points” is also transphobic.

So, I ended up looking through belovedbysetandsekhmet’s blog because someone asked a question and clicked her likes and this popped up? 

Again, this is in belovedbysetandsekhmet’s public likes. 

Do I need to explain why this is racist? When your political cartoon literally dehumanizes the whole of the members of one religion compared to your white valkyrie? With an animal that is specifically considered unclean by their religious standards? And the description calls them goatfuckers? 

So yeah, there’s that. This isn’t the first belovedbysetandsekhmet has been islamophobic.

I’m just gonna uh. Explain a little bit of what happened outside of the selective quotes that certain rebloggers of said post added (I will also be tagging everyone who reblogged the post so they might see and understand, but that does not mean I am going to respond to everyone on this post just fyi; some of yall are clearly just here to say “see!! sjws r hypocrite checkmate xD” regardless of what actually happened lol) and the claims that it was “transphobia” “bullying” “guilt tripping” and “gaslighting”; as well as Michi’s accusation that we, at any point in this conversation, said that princess triangle needed to “out herself”, which is just a straight up lie; she said that she was an out and visible trans person. It’s also important to note that this conversation was, the entire time, in the context of PT having said that she knew she was privileged in her group and that she didn’t want to risk her position of relative comfort to advocate for those who her group excluded. 

I’m gonna add what few screencaps Tumblr will let me to illustrate, but I advise everyone who has the time to actually read through the conversations (as well as take into account that PT deleted some of her comments where she was yelling at us in order to save face; you can kind of see in Part 1 and Part 2 where we are responding to something that is no longer there) and make up your own mind.

I just want a copy if Michi taking things out of context (because most people are going to go by what they see in this post, not go through hundreds of screencaps); lying that we said Princess Triangle had to out herself; and claiming that this was a conversation about trans rights, rather than urging someone to use their position of relative privilege to advocate for people who were excluded from their religious group.

I’ve come here to share an event that happened within the last few days. Since all of these individuals are notable members of the Kemetic community, I feel that this is the blog that is safest to share it.

This mod barely has the words describe how utterly mortified these images have made us.  We don’t usually extend our commentary outside of our platform (Tumblr), but this is such an extremely revealing case of who these people really are, we feel it’s relevant.

The cruelty these people display is horrifying and the gleeful zeal they have being so hatefully cruel is disturbing.  The abuses to a server mod (shouting them down and being disrespectful) for disagreeing with them and the server owner’s spinelessness is equally disturbing to this mod.

–Memphis As Memphis said, we generally don’t consider platforms outside of tumblr part of our bailiwick, but the egregious nature of the offense contained within these screenshots warrants sharing, given that most of the participants are active within kemetic tumblr, and a couple consider themselves leaders.  Due to the seriousness of the offenses detailed herein, we have independently verified these screenshots with a server member.  We would like to thank the submitter for their time and patience in compiling this for us, so that the community can see that their social justice leaders are even more awful and transphobic than those who oppose them.  Our hearts go out to the victims in the thread shared here; you did not deserve this. –Cairo
