Also I don’t remember him actively showing this in the game, but in the gallery, it mentions that Gavin is trying to climb the ranks in the police force. Again, why?! There are plenty of police officers who want to be police officers, plenty of detectives who are fine with their rank. What is causing him to go after Hank’s title as lieutenant (supposedly, considering how much he hates the guy)?

I wonder if he was meant to be a bigger role in the game. Gavin has so many quirks, like failing to wink, mispronouncing “fuck” (like mentioned in the previous post), and giving a “get a load of this guy” gesture whenever he thinks Connor says something stupid, as if he’a the leader of a gang of school bullies (also mentioned in previous post haha). Did the creators just like him as a character and decide to give him a bunch of three/dimensional traits?

Because, from what I’ve observed, that’s why people are so drawn to him. He fits so many fandom likes, he’s the pathetic wet cat man, but he can also be the serious hot guy, etc etc.

Why was he made to be so interesting??!!!

Beautifully spoken. Art is such an amazing medium and It’s so wonderful seeing artists feel this way.

hey! I can't say everything i want to say right now because that would be a gargantuan essay I'd like to write when I have the brain power, but I still wanted to say a quick thank you before i go back to posting as normal, because it feels appropriate right now. and because i never say it; i've always held off until i write the "gargantuan essay".

i've spent the past 4 days writing and rewriting this which will turn into perpetuity so why not just keep it brief and sexy (it's not sexy it just feels like there needed to be another word there).

what I want to say is that through everything, creating art and engaging with others' creations has made me feel so normal in times where circumstances have not been normal. I’ve realised i can best remember normalcy through the way other people's creativity, love and passion make me feel, and the way it moves and inspires me, and how it fuels my own passion to create and share some feeling with others (and if that feeling is mild disturbance at having imagined connor detroit doing something scary, then so be it).

i think i'm very sensitive to having my emotions manipulated (in the good way) by all forms of art and always have been. so when that's pulled out of me, i feel “right”.

So thank you for sharing these pieces of your mind and soul with the world. thank you for sometimes sharing these things directly with me, often via absolute unhinged shitposts in my inbox (i'm not dicking around, those make me feel beautiful ways). And thank you to those who persist with talking to and engaging with me even though at times it must feel like talking at the void, i'm genuinely sorry for that. I love you.
