Filmed 3 videos with no sound, no memory on phone, no memory in camera, no video ability on zoom?.... **Cue Kerry running into the woods, away from technology, traffic & society.** Kidding, at least about running away permanently. I do recommend running away into the woods for short bouts to soak in all the healing goodness of Mother Nature. As I re-open and inevitably get a little more busy, I hope to keep some aspects of my "new normal" that have grounded me during quarantine. I personally don't ever the need to go back to the insane hustle of yesteryear. I have felt like for a while we are way to focused on doing more than we were on being happy. I don't know about you but I'd like to he happy. So, here are some ways I'm focusing on happy over hustle: 1. Slow mornings: My little favorite thing ever right now. Lemon H2O, card pull, and journal in the garden. 2. MORE yoga: I have been practicing more yoga in quarantine than I have in a while and it feels good. Between teaching online and all the demos and my advanced YTT, yoga has been life. 3. Mother Nature: Get out for a short hike/Nature walk once a week. Walk around the Brighton 2-3 times a week. 4. Dinner at home: Aiming for multiple nights a week for dinner at home with Chris-- sitting down at a table and everythingg!! 5. Read more: a wide variety of books; yoga, nutrition, mother nature, garden, personal development and fiction This is just where I am starting. What do you want to keep in your post quarantine routines? #livegoodfeelgood #feelgoodjournet #forkeeps https://www.instagram.com/p/CBmXveugnOh/?igshid=1abf4ev3dr7ot

Over the past week, I have sat with a lot of different thoughts and feelings. I don't have any answers and I won't necessarily say the right thing all the time(let's be real, most of the time). That makes me uncomfortable. But not as uncomfortable as many others live with on a daily basis. With that said, I want to share some of my first thoughts. I am always learning and I will continue to learn. That I can promise. I will change my views over time. In fact, I WANT to change my views over time. To me, that is growth. I am a healthCARE professional. I CARE deeply and will continue to care deeply for all those that come in through my door. I want to help as much as I can.. even if I don't always know how exactly to help. I want to help as MANY people as possible feel good in their bodies. I vow to do so to the best of my abilities-- each and every day. I cannot necessarily speak to all the injustices in the world but I am extremely passionate about doing my part to fight injustices in the healthcare field in the US. To be honest, I find the current healthcare institutions of the US to be a disgrace.(which is part of the reason I started Live Good, Feel Good.) Live Good, Feel Good is my heart and soul. This business is me and I am my business. I don't have all the answers, in fact, I don't have many. All I have is my empathy, my kindness, my commitment to learn and my commitment to growth. No matter what happens in the world around me I hope Live Good, Feel Good can always be a place of community, kindness, learning, growth and deep caring conversations. #livegoodfeelgood #currentthoughts #feelgoodjourney (at Live Good, Feel Good) https://www.instagram.com/p/CBMovQog_R_/?igshid=ow4lumtiflg7

We are slowly re-opening Live Good, Feel Good Performance and Recovery Center. Physical Therapy has always been considered an essential business in MA but we chose to close for the safety of you and our family:) Here are the details: I will be limiting the amount of people I see in person a day to 4-5 at maximum to limit the exposure. I will be prioritizing clients based on needs, severity and ability to complete program virtually (see below) I will be screening all new and current clients before setting up an appointment All services will be one on one at the moment with no one else in the clinic besides me and the patient There will be a minimum of 15 minutes between appointments to be able to clean and exit/enter properly Face Masks are required upon entering Hands must be washed upon entering the facility I will be wearing gloves and a face mask at all times Some exciting news! I will continue to provide virtual appointments and assessments. If you have a virtual appointment on the schedule, we will continue as such until you would like to meet in person. I will continue virtual appointments moving forward in my business. I will be hosting TWO virtual webinars in June: Work From Home Ergonomics and The Importance of Recovery. Dates & Details to come shortly! If you are interested, respond to this email and I will put you on the waitlist. Want an appointment? Book through our Jane App<<link in bio>> P.S. last day for #citytosummit enrollment is tomorrow! So, I was going to post this video with a brief: Yay finally nailed it sentiment! But, then I had some thoughts. While I don't believe it is necessary to perform certain poses or look a certain way in poses to be a yogi, I do believe in the power of setting goals whether they be physical or mental. So when quarantine began, I set some physical goals for myself because a- I like a challenge b- I felt I needed some structure. The goals ranged from nailing a handstand to improving hip mobility to working on my front splits. To be completely honest, my dedication to these specific goals has waxed and waned. Some days these goals were motivating, other days they felt like a chore... and no one likes chores. So, I set some new goals: 1. Move my body everyday: walk, run, lift, stretch, yoga, pilates, dance, you get the pick, do something that brings joy (and for my movement brings me joy!) 2. Think outside the box on my yoga mat: Try new things, follow my intuition, create new sequences, be creative. 3. Challenge myself: I've been practicing yoga for almost 8 years ( which is a lot of time and not a lot of time all at once) and to be honest, I can do a Sun A in my sleep. That is not to say I am better than anyone else. That is to say, I have done a LOT of Sun A's in my time and I have taught a LOT of Sun A's, it's like second nature to my body. It was time to try something new and challenging myself helped spark my creativity to teach, especially when I cannot see my lovely yogis while teaching. Anywho, flash forward to this video, teaching myself and learning a transition that felt nearly impossible a couple of weeks ago. Also watch to the end for my very succinct "I'm done" and very proud smile. This is something I would never have tried if I hadn't challenged myself, this is something that felt impossible even last week, this is something that I played with and I failed at. This whole long winded rambling of thoughts is to say: Set goals. Challenge yourself. Try something new. Fail......A LOT. Celebrate Yourself. REPEAT. #youdeserveit #livegoodfeelgood #feelgoodjourney (at Brighton) https://www.instagram.com/p/CAtcXXUgrwX/?igshid=1oa8d1clqi4r7

Anyone else out there a recovering people pleaser? A #yesgirl at heart? Tend to overcommitt because you think you're superwoman? 🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️ just me? After experiencing burn out at my first "big girl" job, you would think that I had learned my lesson for good. Nope, time and time again I said yes. But I was learning, I said yes to things that were a hell yes. I started saying no more. I learned a lot about my limits. In fact, I'm still learning. Starting quarantine I came off a week of: travel, working overtime at a part time gig, teaching multiple classes, leasing a new office space, setting up said office space and still seeing my personal caseload. So when quarantine hit, I kind of needed the break. Being laid off and slowing down wasn't the worst thing. Don't get me wrong- its not all rainbows and butterflies over here. I have struggled. I have lost a job and money. My partner is indefinitely unemployed as he works in the entertainment industry. But I also know, I have it better than a lot of people so I am grateful. And even in quarantine I've learned a lot about myself, setting boundaries and running a small business. So as things slowly start to re-open and I plan the grand (re) opening of Live Good, Feel Good Performance and Recovery Center, I hope I carry on with some things I've learned or enjoyed in quarantine: - starting my mornings watching the sun rise and garden grow - time spent reading for fun and for personal and professional development - phoneless date nights - morning snuggles - setting boundaries - time in the garden - crafting - playing on my yoga mat with no game plan - tuning in to my intuition - listening to my body - sitting down for all my meals And that's just to name a few. So to all my #peoplepleasers out there, what is one thing you can take away from quarantine that will serve your mind, body and soul? #livegoodfeelgood #feelgoodjourney P.S. all you yes girls, stay tuned, I got some ideas coming your way. But first, a Q for you, what is one thing you struggle with the most in the self care world? #selfcare #burntouttolitup (at Live Good, Feel Good) https://www.instagram.com/p/CAeI6eogjYY/?igshid=1rywvhcpe12hu

The mountains are calling..... are you ready? The BIGGEST mistake I see people make is they start a seasonal sport or activity and go all out their first session of the season. They keep pushing themselves because "hiking/skiing/biking/ rock climbing/surfing season is only so long." They end up either burnt out or with a chronic injury and then are frustrated with their bodies. Then they take how ever months off from activity until the next season starts up, only to completely repeat the cycle. I think what bothers me the most is that these seasonal sports get a bad rep for being bad for "name your body part". FRIENDS, outdoor sports are the BEST. (K, I might be biased) but seriously. Outdoor adventure are amazing. BUT. You. Have. To. Prepare. You train for a marathon? You prep for a big work meeting? You warm up before playin soccer? right?!? Let's prep our mind, body and soul to tackle those outdoor adventure on your bucket list! City to summit is STILL OPEN for enrollment. Jump in soon before spots fill up. You get ALL you need to prep yourself mind, body and soul for your adventures. Questions? Drop me below. Concerns? DM me. Ready to sign up? Hi everyone! I'm Kerry-- the yogi behind the photos, the owner of Live Good, Feel Good and the girl behind the big dreams. It's been a little bit since I have introduced myself and with some new followers and the world re-opening slowly I wanted to jump in and say hi! Thank you for following along my journey from 200 hour YTT to Physical Therapy school, from graduation to burn out, from opening Live Good Feel Good 1.0 to a brand new space that closed down before it even opened. Let's just say it's been a journey AND I am just getting started. With that, I wanted to share 10 facts that you might not know about the person behind the gram! 1. I was born in New York City, grew up on Long Island and have been a Boston Babe for almost 11 years! 2. I was born with webbed toes and only one toenail! 3. I got my boating license when I was 13 4. I played Varsity lacrosse in college and was a Jumbo! 5. Skiing was the first sport I mastered, I learned to ski when I was just under 3 years old and while I never competed, it's probably a sport that I always excelled at and loved. 6. I Didn't get into Physical Therapy school the first tiem I applied. I used to be ashamed of it but I now recognize, I wouldn't be where I am today if that didn't happen. In my year off, I did my 200 hour Yoga teacher training. 7. I have lived in different countries for extended period of time twice: I studied abroad in Australia my Junior year of college and I lived and interned at physio company in Ireland. 8. I love crafts (Although I am not good at all of them). I like to think I get that from my Aunt Patti who passed away. 9. I experienced burn out during my first job out of grad School and chalked it up to being a failure. That was only a year ago. I realized with a lot of personal development, support and getting honest with myself, that I had just not found my spot in the wild world of wellness. 10. Live Good, Feel Good was born because during my year or so of feeling like sh*t and being completely burn out, all I remember saying to chris is "I JUST WANT TO FEEL GOOD AGAIN." So here I am, I feel good and I want to help you feel really freaking good. (Cont in comments) (at Live Good, Feel Good) https://www.instagram.com/p/CAY_hW0A1bp/?igshid=1cjqaxdgj4dw2

Just like many other things these days, my advanced 300 hour yoga teacher training looks a little bit different. #zoomeverything To be honest, I resisted. This isnt how I pictured it. I cant handle this emotionally. This is too mentally consume during a damn pandemic. All thoughts & more ran through my head (and still pop up occasionally). But I showed up and i'm rewarded with metaphors, jokes and wisdom from @chakrapoweryoga. I'm rewarded with smiles from peers and drops of wisdom. I'm rewarded with human connection (even If its virtually). As i figure out when/how to reopen Live Good, Feel Good Performance and Recovery center, I realize it's going to look a little different than I imagined. The grand opening will have to wait. The workshops and in person collaboration will have to wait. Cozy tea time on the couch and big group circles will have to wait. I recognize that this dream will unfold a little differently than planned but honestly, isnt that how it always goes. A year ago, I wouldn't have imagined I'd be opening up a bigger space yet here I am(and so in love with my new space I might add). So yeah, this might all look a little different but I have high hopes that I (we) will be rewarded. #livegoodfeelgood #300hrYTT #feelgoodjourney #chakrapoweryoga (at Brighton) https://www.instagram.com/p/CAROuetgPHH/?igshid=14ayeblnsvrbu

Hey friends! Give this a try: - Shrug your shoulders up to your ears and then let them relax with a big sigh - Scrunch your face up REAL tight and then let everything go slack - Take a big stretch up to the sky and then release your arms down by your side quickly as you take a big breathe out through your mouth. - Take a big breathe in through your nose, fill up you entire body with air, hold your breath for one moment and let it all got through your mouth How do you feel? How does your body feel? What emotions came up for you? - - - - Creating and releasing tension in our bodies is a great way to bring awareness to our body. It's a great way to notice different areas of your body AND to notice where you might be holding onto tension that you are no aware of. Releasing physical tension in our bodies can also help release emotional and mental tension. Our mind body are completely intertwined and interconnected but it's hard to see or feel at times. Connecting breath, muscle activation and awareness can bring a deeper level of mind body connection and start the journey of turning inwards. While these tips might now cure everything, they are a simple place to start! #livegoodfeelgood #feelgoodjourney #listentoyourbody #mindbodyconnection #mindbody (at Live Good, Feel Good) https://www.instagram.com/p/CALugv9g8g2/?igshid=tul2d4ck91oa

ALL the City To Summit deets for you friends!! I cannot tell you how freaking excited I am for this program. It literally brings together ALL my favorite things AND all my knowledge and expertise. A big question I've been getting: How do I know this program is for me? Great Q! This program is for BOTH the seasoned and newbie hiker. You don't need any particular experience with hiking or outdoor adventuring at all. This program is meant to get you in the best shape possible so you can confidently and safely take your beautiful body and mind into Mother Nature and experience all she has to offer. Frequently, I find people dive into a new outdoor sport without truly preparing their body (or mind) for this new adventure. Then they see disappointed when they obtain an injury or experience discomfort. Imagine trying to run a marathon when you never have ran more than 3 miles before. You wouldn't do it! This program addresses the key muscles to feel strong whether you are hiking 1 mile or 10 miles. It is also filled with recovery techniques, warm ups and flexibility program to help you feel good in your mind and body from all angles. So whether you are new to hiking and want to feel confident on the trails or you are an experienced hiker and want to #uplevel your game-- this program is for you! Sign up through the google form in my bio and I will send you more information via email! #citytosummit #c2s #livegoodfeelgood #liveyouradventure https://www.instagram.com/p/CAIufW7A1xn/?igshid=1rgew5sll3vjo
