Long story short, I'm hovering just over broke and I need to pay for medicine. Plasma donations can cover some of it, but not all.

I'm opening three slots for now, and plan on opening at least seven in total, maybe eight or nine depending on complexity, but that'll be a bit further in the future because I'm currently on a bit of a time crunch. One important thing to remember, though, is that I do traditional art, not digital. I've tried swapping to digital a few times, but it's faster and easier for me to do it this way. The lighting on these example pieces aren't all great, but I will hold them to a higher standard - as in, they'll be clean, like the lighting of the rabbit characters' pages - since these aren't just personal projects and clarity matters a lot more in this context.

I can edit the photos to remove the white "background" of the page and alter the colors a little bit, but once the lineart is on, it's on, and there's no changing it without redoing the entire page. I have a light board, so it can be transferred fairly easily, but it will still take time. That's why it's the most expensive step.

You can use the art for icons, character sheets, whatever you like, as long as it's not monetized.

Dug up some old pony art from... 2019, 2018, that sorta time frame? My interest had mostly faded then, and I think I was trying to get it back. Now that I'm starting over with nostalgia goggles on, I kinda want to try redesigning these girls. Already did one, so... We'll see if I can come up with anything fun for the other two.

Just realized I’d forgotten to post these. Let’s fix that!

Here’s Piffelie Brightbell, the antagonist-turned-combat-asset I’ve been playing in Tu Quid Edas, complete with a tragic backstory, Found Family redemption arc, and a whole bunch of advanced weapons the main crew “unlocked” by defeating her. To make a long story short, she is Cursula (played by @grumpedia / @scarabteeth) ‘s assigned meat shield, who was paired as the overseer’s Hand (servant and bodyguard, basically) due to similar trauma that the higher-ups thought could be used to keep them close and in line. Luckily, that’s backfired pretty hard at this point.

A few extra notes under the cut!

Born on 09/04/1964, captured by Trispace units on 06/17/1996; as of TQE (2021), she is 56 years old. She had been to Snaktooth before Trispace recruitment, alongside her late husband, several other “explorers”, and Clumby.

Used to be a talented engineer, but, due to her being a (then) young woman in a competitive STEM field, she couldn’t find a job, and instead wound up as a housewife while planning to open up her own repair shop. Unfortunately, that never panned out.

She is autistic, but undiagnosed (officially), and nonverbal, preferring to use sign - usually ASL, but she does also utilize SEE often for more English-specific wordplay. For most of her life, she’s spoken out of necessity; during her time in the company, though, her throat was damaged in a Bugsnak-related experiment, which… As awful as it was, it did mean that her handlers finally had to accommodate.

She wears collars - usually white or black while on the field, but she has others for special occasions - to cover up the damage, but also, it’s worth noting that I usually draw Grumps with manes and/or dewlaps. Piffelie doesn’t have a dewlap due to malnutrition, and the collar also helps her feel less exposed.

On a related note, most Grumpuses are plantigrade, but she walks on tiptoe. There is no practical use to this, I just thought it’d be fun if some Grump lineages have a minor mutation that makes walking like this more comfortable (and also, my sister does this, so I think it’s endearing).

She is asexual, although she doesn’t know there’s a word for it yet. However, if not for the whole… Grumpinati super-bodyguard situation, she might’ve gotten along great with Chandlo, because she thinks suggestive jokes are funny in the same way Action Park disasters are - best observed from a distance, and at the expense of whichever idiot thought it was a good idea.

Here’s a Shroob I drew for a friend!... Or, two Shroobs, because I just learned that my phone saves everything as JPGs but the scanner can’t read color to save its life. One of these days I’ll figure out a better way to convert traditional art to digital images, but today is not that day.

Honestly, I’ve never played this game, but my friend showed me these guys, and I thought they’d be fun to draw, so... Yeah. Got a little overzealous, but I think it turned out alright!

Came up with a fanbug for an RP group I'm in right now, and I dug up some old Sharpies for the colors. Nothing complicated, just wanted to make them bright. Might do something more polished later, but for now, meet Ferriflosp!

They're based on cotton candy (AKA "fairy floss") and fairy wasps. Originally, I wanted them to be an extension of the Shishkabug line, since ants and wasps are fairly close in the order Hymenoptera, but then I saw their little feather duster wings, and it made more sense to set them up as close relatives of Hunnabees instead.

A single Ferriflosp is too small to be caught on its own, similar to Popticks, but instead of making the individuals bigger, you would need to trick them into swarming a larger Bugsnak and spinning themselves into a much bigger cotton candy shape. They are usually peaceful, but when gathered together to feed on chocolate, they can become a lot more aggressive because of their drive to protect one another. Unfortunately, this also means that if you scare one or two, the rest of the swarm will come to their rescue. The best way to escape an angry swarm is to hide underwater, since they would dissolve on contact if they didn't know not to avoid water at all costs.

Blue-pink Ferriflosp are most common, generally speaking, while orange-green and yellow-purple tie for second place. Mismatched Ferriflosp (ie. orange-yellow, purple-green, blue-orange, pink-green, etc) are uncommon, but tend to swarm together in larger groups than other Ferriflosp. Lastly, it is possible to find small black-white swarms with rainbow stingers and legs, but very few have ever been witnessed by Grumpus eyes.
