This whole "Submit id for using sites" thing has just been on my mind and I keep thinking how not only is it useless as a measure to protect kids in replacement of actual monitoring/raising your kid.

But also, it kind of occurred to me that this is now a new way someone can torment others.

1) Its useless for actually protecting kids online because parents who weren't already taking care to monitor their kids will probably never know if their kid simply takes their ID and use it to get access to something they shouldn't.

Kids are tech savvy and can be sneaky. A drivers license isn't something you go out of your way to hide in your home, so access is probably easy. And Im pretty sure every time your ID is used somewhere that there aren't systems in place to somehow notify the person themselves.

That brings me to point (2)

2. Identities are so often stolen. Hell, my brother had his birth certificate and ID stolen from his car one time. Someone who either has something to hide or even have an issue with you could be using your identity online to create a profile on you that could lead to you being reviewed by the government.

It's almost like a long-winded false accusation/frame up. And because these companies have no way of contacting you directly if your identity is used. it leaves no way for you to deny it is you, and now theres even more problems.

While it's great news that itch.io reindexed FREE NSFW games it will only be over for me when paid games are back too and all banned games are unbanned.

Since, well, most of my NSFW games ARE banned. Idk why they didn't touch "Latengerine Last Journey (18+)" since it also had non-con content. o.o.

Something of a good update. Enough backlash and calls has happened to force a response and theyre quickly being proven liars even then.

But at least they feel annoyed enough to comment.

Flooding the phones is one thing but you know what'll really hurt Visa, Mastercard, etc? Paying for everything you can with cash.

Groceries? Most stores have an ATM on site or nearby. Gas? Likewise. Steam or eShop? Gift cards, bought with cash.

It's inconvenient but it'll REALLY hurt them.

idk thinking about how sometimes you have to show up for people you aren't that close to, because sometimes you're just the person who's there. sometimes you invite a new friend to a party and end up having to sit with them through a panic attack. sometimes you run into an acquaintance on their worst day and they need to talk about what happened. sometimes someone is crying in a stairwell and you're the only one around to ask if they're okay. and none of this is "trauma dumping" or whatever the fuck it's just being there for people because you're the one in the room with them.

We've not only taken away all of the physical spaces for our children to exist in, we're now taking away the electronic ones as well. I'm sure this won't have any negative consequences.
