I honestly went into the Multiversus release with a pretty open mind. The open beta was unpolished, buggy, and not super great, and the whole "okay thanks for playing guys but we're dipping for a year thanks bye" thing left a bad taste in my mouth to say the least, but hey maybe they really ironed out all those little imperfections into a solid game.

Except they didn't the game is still extremely mid at best. And the monetization is even more predatory than before. And they removed just about every quality of life feature. It's just so wild to release a mid game, suddenly dip for a year and completely prevent anyone from playing it, and then come back with a worse game

No but half the fandom denying canonicity of the books even if some if the things from them are directly tied to the games reminded me yet again about how in 2017/18 some people were claiming that FFPS wasn't canon bc it 100% disproved Miketrap and they didn't want to belive it so they just said that new (at the time) games weren't canon 😭

Istg people here will say something isn't canon if they don't like it regardless of in which media it's shown

I hate it when someone's like "oh I know fnaf lore I could tell you all about it" and then you start a topic which' lore is continued in books example: Aftons end, shadow Bonnie, fnaf sl placement in timeline and you use arguments from book and they're just like: "nah, books aren't canon bc I don't want to read them plus if they were they would disprove my theories so they aren't canon".

Or mentioning ANYTHING even in games that happens after UCN and they say "it's also not canon for me and fnaf ended on ucn". Like, that's fair if they don't like new lore but acting like things aren't real bc they "its not how they remember fnaf" is so annoying, just say you only like old games.

Something I've been thinking about with the whole "is Glitchtrap/Burntrap actually Afton For Real" situation is, if you're SteelWool, how would you confirm it actually is Afton?

Like just hypothetically if William actually was Glitchtrap the whole time how do you communicate that to the audience? Just doing some general rabbit iconography is obviously out, people would just go "oh that's Glitchtrap mimicking Afton". You could try splashing the color purple everywhere because Purple Guy but they did that with Burntrap and people still argue its just Glitchtrap. Even having William directly speak out loud wouldn't be enough, mimicking voices is kinda the Mimics whole thing.

Again not saying Glitchtrap actually is Afton, but if he is, I don't know how Steelwool is actually going to show us short of directly getting someone to say it.

If Dragons Dogma 2 was $70 I'd buy it. If Dragons Dogma 2 had microtransactions I'd buy it. If Dragons Dogma 2 had performance issues I'd buy it. But when you have all of those things I think I'll just go buy like four indie games that have none of them.
