I too am wondering the same thing. There are so many things going on in my life right now. And one of them is "trust". Who do you trust? Who can you trust?
What the fuck is the universe trying to teach me right now

Best Laid Plans
So this past Saturday (10/17/15) it was our intention to get up early (LOL) and leave the house by 10am, head out to Ann Arbor and hit the Holistic Fair and then the Antique Fair. I “assumed” that if we were up early enough we would could spend several hours at each. I was up by 8am (thanks to our two puppies), made a cup of coffee and sat outside with them for about 20 minutes. When I came in I picked up the living room, washed the dishes that had been sitting for several days and got into the shower. I stuck my head in Anna’s room before getting in the shower letting the girls know that it was after 9. When I got out of the shower they were still sound asleep (big surprise ). By 10:15 I stuck my head in and said if they were not ready by 11am I was leaving without them. We finally hit the road at 11:30 (best laid plans) but then when we hit 275 I realized (after seeing all kinds of Michigan flags) that it was game day (crap!). I made the mistake of being in Ann Arbor on a game day once and swore that I would never do that again (it took about an hour and a half to get from one side of town to the other). So for if anyone reads this – and if you are planning on heading out to Ann Arbor on a beautiful fall day, do yourself a favor, check the game schedule. You DO NOT ever want to be in Ann Arbor if you don’t have to on game day. Well we made it to the holistic fair. The girls loved it and visited most every booth. When we were done we realized that there wasn’t enough time to get to the other side of town and spend any amount of time looking at antiques (and frankly I didn't really want to head into the heart of Ann Arbor with that football game) so we took a detour to Blissfield (to an antique store my Aunts had recently visited) (again, best laid plans)…. We got sidetracked by the exit for Dundee when we saw Cabela’s and the two giant bears outside which reminded us of this awesome little store we had once found around six years ago. When we got there we were sad to find out our little store had closed (so after taking a bunch of pictures)………. we walked into the Swan Creek Candle Company and Antique store. Around two plus hours later…….. I absolutely love love love this store. Their candles are amazing. They smell exactly like what they are supposed to smell like. The “fresh cut Christmas tree” smells just like a fresh cut tree. The “apple pie” smells like apple pie. And the antique portion was wonderful and “so reasonable” (our words of the day). We found some really cute treasures and only spent $15 on antiques and around $17.00 on candles smell amazing. I think this is going to be my go to place for gifts this year instead of BBW. We then had dinner across the street at this little Mexican restaurant (La Fiesta), which was pretty good. So the moral of this (really long and probably a little boring) story…… the best laid plans may not always turn out the way you had planned, but then things might turn out to be a really lovely day spent with some of your favorite people Miss Annette – you really need to come on some of these adventures with us one of these days……

The Mighty Mac - this has always been one of my favorite things about the trip up north. I love the nervousness the night before that comes with the anticipation of going to my favorite place on earth. The upper peninsula of Michigan. I know a lot of people are fearful of driving across this five mile stretch but I love it. The only thing I don't like is the fact that I cannot stick my head out the window because I am always the one driving. 😉 I have always encouraged my kids to stick their heads out and look down at the water through the grates. It's truly amazing! If you ever get the chance take a trip to the most beautiful place in the US (to me anyway) #upnorth

Complaint of the Day
The Secretary of State. Why is this place such a torture chamber? I mean everyone has to go there at least once a year, unless you are one of those people who plan ahead (which is never going to be me). So they have this amazing idea that you can log in on line for a place in line and they will text you when you move up in the line (HA!) So I get the first text that its going to be 84 minutes. So I wait, we watch some tv. I wash a load of clothes and periodically send a text to find out where I am in my place in line. The minutes continue to go down and then I get a text that I am number whatever and its going to be 10 minutes. So I quickly get in the car and drive the 12 minutes it takes to get there, run a red light and drive seriously crazy to get there. So I get all my stuff, walk in the door and oh yeah, my 10 minutes Ha - was never 10 minutes and I end up sitting there for an hour. I really hate going to the Secretary of State.
