I'm actually getting tired of reading BL stories that are only full of smut and very limited plot and romance. But this one is what I've been seeking all this time! The story is short but beautiful. It's realistic, and you can feel the love between the 2 main. Also, their dynamics is so cute. I really love it. It became one of my top lists for BL webtoons.

I binged read this webtoon entitled "The Portrait" and I love it so much. My favorite is its story flow, where the first chapters tell a very interesting introduction of the story. I love how the succeeding chapters perfectly fit with the introduction until the epilogue. I love how the conflict is not stressful. I love how there's a direct plot, a balance between a plotless story and a plotty one. I love how most of the characters are good people, and all of those deserving people got their happy endings. ❤️ The characters are so lovable, and the subplot for the supporting characters is as interesting as the main plot. There's no boring scene nor a stressful one. The art is so beautiful, and the theme that revolves around the art community is captivating. I even appreciated paintings more than before. I love how the author depicts a story where an old, unmoving, single portrait would have a thousand stories of different people behind it.

This kind of story is not really my cup of tea, but loving the webtoon despite being an opposite of my usual preference, definitely proves how amazing it is! 🩷
