So. We as a fandom have this misconception going that I would like to correct, and I’ve been meaning to talk about it for a while but denial is NOT just a river in Egypt- and now there’s physically no way to deny this so!

These two, we always say that these two are parallels to these two.

Which is absolutely true, but who we compare them to is wrong.

Every video and post of comparisons between SatoSugu and ItaFushi have paired up Gojo and Megumi, and Yuji and Geto.

And thats wrong.

Just hear me out for a second.

We always match up Megumi and Gojo, mostly because they both have spikey hair, they’re both super powerful with influential families, they’re both meant to be clan leaders, and Gojo got raised by Tsumiki with Megumi.

On the other side of that we always match up Geto and Yuji since they’ve both got an entity possessing them, Gojo was supposed to have killed them, they died and came back to life because of the entities possessing them, and they both have ties to Kenjaku.

None of these comparisons are necessarily WRONG, but they’re so surface level it hurts, and we’re missing the bigger picture here.

The right parallel is Yuji and Gojo, with Megumi and Geto. And Sukuna’s possession of Megumi confirmed that even more.

Starting off with Yuji and Gojo!

Not only is it surface level shit, like their joking personalities and light hair, it’s the deeper things. Their characters as a whole.

Yuji and Gojo were both born to do things that shouldn’t be possible, containing Sukuna and Having the six eyes. They’ve got strong moral compasses and on top of that, they have a strong sense of duty. Even when it comes down to the wire, they’ll choose their responsibility. Their characters as a whole are perfectly complimentary to each other. Not to mention their happy acts to mask the fact that they don’t like anything happening around them.

Then theres Megumi and Geto.

Again, surface level shit, dark hair, the asshole tendencies, and now the possession by another entity. But their similarities are also much deeper.

Geto before death was stuck in a “only the strong survive” mindset. He believed that weakness meant death. And that’s exactly what megumi thinks too. He sees strength as necessary for survival, not as something that gets developed. Another similarity is their power, they’re both able to summon curses, while their methods of obtaining those curses are very different, the basis of their abilities is the same: they use cursed energy to summon curses. They also both had a pretty damn strong sense of Justice, even if it seemed skewed at times, they saw injustice and couldn’t stand for it, fighting against it.

Now for my own personal inputs since I write quite a bit like Akutami. In the case of Gojo killing Geto, if Yuji had ever been turned to the dark side, or fully possessed by Sukuna, Megumi wouldn’t be able to bring himself to kill Yuji. I’ll say it again.

Megumi wouldn’t be able to kill Yuji. Not because he’s not strong enough, but because he wouldn’t be able to bring himself to kill Yuji. He dosent have that sense of duty like Gojo and Yuji have- because while it would cause Yuji HUGE distress, he would be able to kill Megumi. Because that sense of duty, of NEEDING to do what’s right, that’s stuck on Yujis brain constantly.

And then theres the whole Geto destroying a town to save two little girls thing. Yuji is a good person, a kind person. But he’d never be able to do that. You know who would? Megumi. That strong sense of Justice would take over and he’d tear down the world to just save one person.

Geto and Megumi fall more under “grey” or “villain” mindsets, sacrificing many to save one. Where as Gojo and Yuji check the boxes for the classic heroes, sacrificing the one person- regardless of who it is- to save everyone else.

TLDR

The right way to paralell SatoSugu and ItaFushi is with Yuji as Gojo, and Megumi as Geto.

INUMAKI’S ARM WAS CUT OFF BY THE HIGHER UPS AND NOT SUKUNA AND YOU CANNOT CHANGE MY FUCKING MIND.

Akutami is a smart Author, who definitely wouldn’t have missed the chance to show directly what Sukuna did to Inumaki when Yuji wasn’t in control (possibly for a future event where Sukuna just snaps and kills everyone) but there’s more than that, so just hear me out real quick!

Yeah, it would make sense that sukuna cut off his arm whatever whatever especially since Sukuna’s ability is slicing and dicing like a pro chef…

But look at Sukuna’s Domain expansion in 119

He didn’t CUT anything. It was completely dismantled and torn apart. And then it seems to dissipate in a fiery bomb-like after effect.

And oven if it were after this, Sukuna neatly, or in this case, he obliterates everything. If Inumaki’s arm got cut off it would have been one clean deep cut at the shoulder getting rid of his whole arm, leaving nothing left. But the way everything is laid out makes it seem like Inumaki was caught in the domain.

Here’s why that’s bullshit;

This is Inumaki’s injury. Those scars aren’t burns, we see burns on Maki, those are clean slices. And even if I’m wrong about the fire thing, that’s a clean cut, like amputation level clean. Aka: not what Sukuna’s domain was. That expansion tore everything apart, and his arm wouldn’t be so neatly cut. If Inumaki was caught in that domain, he wouldn’t have just cleanly lost his arm, he would have gotten that arm torn apart… OR WORSE, lost his life. And there wouldn’t be scars, the way those two in the explosion panel looked, there was no TIME to leave scars. They were just torn apart. So here’s why he wasn’t in the domain.

That. That right there? That’s blood.

Sukuna’s domain destroyed everything, tearing it apart and then going into what I believe is some kind of blaze-like explosion.

1. Heat cauterizes, kinda like a light saber or that one instant toast knife. When it comes to blood and a fiery hot explosion, there wouldn’t BE any, he wouldn’t be bleeding, he would be burned and his arm wouldn’t be bleeding. Not in that specific spot

2. Even if I am wrong about the heat and Cauterization, His arm would not just be bleeding at that point. He would have a lot more blood in other spots because he was completely torn up OR he would have a more saturated spot of blood because it was completely ripped apart. He wouldn’t specifically be bleeding at a major artery if he was caught in that domain that would be the least of his worries.

TLDR:

Sukuna’s domain dosent match the injuries that Inumaki has so the higher ups grabbed Inumaki after the Shibuya incident, held him down, kept him from talking, and cut off his arm.

Bf Opening Glued Jar Prank

Bokuto, Kenma, Ushijima, Kyoutani, Kita

Bokuto

“Ugh why can’t this thing open?” You pretend to struggle.

“No problem! Leave it to your strong muscular boyfriend!!” he shows off his guns before taking the jar.

He struggles for a few moments

He doesn’t give up, continuously turning the cap, his face now scrunched up.

“Haha, babe, I’m just joking. I superglued it. This is a prank!”

“Oh.” Bokuto stops for a moment, then laughs. You laugh with him.

“Hahahahah, I’m still gonna open it!!” His face now looked determined.

“Kou, you don’t have to actually open it.” You reach for the jar.

He holds a hand out to you. “I got this! I got this!”

eventually opens it but it took a while

“See? Look how strong I am!! I did a great job didn’t- Wait, babe, are you sleeping?”

Kenma

“Hey Kenma, open this for me.” You hand him a salsa jar, while holding a bag of chips.

“Sure.”

He turns it. Then turns it more. Nothing happens. He keeps struggling.

It hasn’t been a minute when you hear him groan and mutter something under his breath:

“for fcks sake. I don’t have time for this. Stupid jar.”

you hold in a laugh.

goes to the cabinet to grab something.

A hammer.

“Wait, Kenma-”

Your bf already smashed it

“Oops, we can’t eat that anymore. Do we have another?”

“Kenma it was all a prank. I superglued it.”

“You superglued it? Why the salsa?”

“It’s okay, I bought another.” You reveal the hidden jar of salsa dip. “It was expired anyway.”

“Hilarious. Now give me that one so I can open it.”

Kenma still wants to prove to you that he can open a jar

Ushijima

You were going to make a sandwich and knew Ushijima loves pickles in his

you ask him to open the pickle jar

“Alright” he says, taking it without question

You snicker silently, waiting

He struggles for a few seconds

then, pop

He opens it. “That was a bit difficult. Here.”

What…

“T-thanks…” You look at the jar and then up at him.

“What’s the matter?” He asks, studying your expression.

“I superglued the jar.”

“Oh, really? Why?”

“It’s was a prank”

“Hm, okay.” He nods, trying to understand, but still slightly confused.

He takes a pickle out of the jar and hands it to you. “Want some?”

You nod, feeling defeated somehow.

well, that was anticlimactic

Kyoutani

“Hey, hon, can you open this?”

Kyoutani drops whatever he was doing and takes the jar from you

he attempts to open it

“Grr”

Did he just growl?

You hear him punch the jar. Ow, that must have hurt.

“Kentarou-” 

“Hold on, babe” He stretches his hands, cracking his knuckles before touching the jar again

And with one grunt, the lid slides off

“Damn…Here.” He hands the opened jar to you.

“Wha-How did you open this?!”

“With my hands?”

“I superglued it!”

“Really?” He says looking surprised at first, then smirking.

“You’ve underestimated me, babe,” Kyoutani squeezes one of your cheeks.

Kita

“Open this for me, please!” you request, handing a jar to your bf.

he smiles at you before taking the jar and opening it

struggles a little

you take a sip of water, pretending to not be aware of the situation, but your eyes says otherwise as they keep glancing over at him

“Y/n.”

you jump a little, hearing your name. “Uh-huh?”

“Did you do something to this jar?” He walks over to you, pointing to the jar in his right hand.

“No, why would you say that?” You sweat nervously.

“Because, it won’t budge. Plus the fact that you keep turning to look at me. I can see the smirk on your face.” He pokes your cheek.

Oh, oops. You realize that you were smirking.

“Fine, I superglued it. It’s a prank!”

“Oh.” He let out a tiny chuckle. “I don’t understand you.”

Pats your head. 

He eventually comes up with some way to open the jar without breaking it

Here’s a little something a friend of mine asked me to write, I made it a bit more angsty then intended but oh well 💕

Kuroo is more upset with himself than anything else

He has to stay on court, he has to be there to support his teammates but the piercing pain on his ankle was too much to bear

His coach and teammates immediately noticed his wincing and hisses in pain and immediately called for a timeout

He would contemplate staying and just bear through the pain but he knew how foolish that was and begrudgingly switched with one of the underclassmen and was escorted to the clinic

To add salt to the wound, he knew you were amongst the sea of people in the audience, there to support him

He was so frustrated with himself, thoughts about how much he must have disappointed his teammates, his school and you, were festering in his mind, but he’d hide this with some witty remark and brush off the worried comments of the people accompanying him

You would then arrive, slightly out of breath from running all the way there, and immediately leap at Kuroo, asking if he was okay and if he needs you to get anything for him

This extra attention from you almost cheered him up. Almost. His frustration never ceased.

You’d notice this too, the way his fists remained clenched the whole time you were there and the way he was rigid and stiff

When the nurse left for a moment and the underclassmen ran out to get some drinks, you and Kuroo were alone in the room, you held out your arms and he dropped the act and crumpled in your arms

He didn’t want you to see him like this but he couldn’t help the hot tears from streaming down his cheeks

You didn’t need him to explain, you completely understood what he was feeling at that moment, so you stayed there, arms wrapped around him as he sobbed freely into the crook of your neck

“I–I’m sorry–”

“Shhh, it’s okay.”

Once he calms down a bit, he’d start apologizing for being a bad captain or something ridiculous like that and you’d have to knock some sense into him

You’d hold his face in your hands, wiping tears away, and make him look you in the eyes as you rebut everything he says, and show him that he is still the best captain Nekoma could ever ask for and that an injury wasn’t going to change that

He’d tear up a bit more after hearing that but do so with a small grin and he’d make a snide comment about how smitten you must be for him before pressing a kiss on your forehead and pulling you closer to him again for another hug

“Thank you, I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

“Who’s smitten now?”

“Oh shut up.”
