after a lively night with d! master reader fem, he cannot walk by his legs fail to the bathroom and master comes to his rescue.
Thanks for this request and I'm really sorry for the waiting. I just had a lot of things to do, so I didn't have much time. And I wrote some fluffy, because I just needed some of this lately. Hope you'll enjoy this! Take care of yourself 😘
How to babysit with human
---------------------------------------------------
The door to the TARDIS opened wide. Outside loud, rhythmic music blared and the lights in that room flickered in different colors. It was obvious this was some kind of party. Anyone would understand. The Master turned to the door, waiting for something. Or someone.
"Whoa!" you gasped and spun forward, closing the door behind you and stopping at the entrance. You leaned on the railing, holding on it with both hands for more balance.
"I see you had fun" the Time Lord said sarcastically. He leaned against the console, his big hands resting on it. The corner of his mouth turned up slightly. He was now without his purple coat, which hung in the corner of the room.
At his words, you looked at the Time Lord without humor, your gaze boring into him. Your lips were set in a hard line, cheeks dimpled and jaw clenched. That was your 'Are you fucking serious?' face.
"I'd have more fun if I didn't dance for 8 hours straight without even sitting down once" you retorted, walking a little forward, closer to him.
Your hands didn't open for a second behind the railing, because your legs hurt terribly and hummed like a train. You had a feeling they were going to fall off, so you needed some support.
You had a good reason to believe that. The dances went on one after another, non stop. Anyone from two hours of such dances would get tired and you had as many as eight. In addition, as soon as you thought you had a little time to rest between dances, you were immediately taken to the next one. And that was every time.
So every minute you were looking for the TARDIS, but unfortunately it never showed up. Oh, if the Master only knew how you called him all those damn hours. You cursed him with every possible word.
"You said you wanted to unwind" the Master commented, grinning at your exasperated face. Did he enjoy teasing and bullying you? You just groaned.
"You could have warned me these aliens only dance and nothing else" you explained your displeasure to a Time Lord who never understands such things as emotions.
"Actually, that's how they communicate" the Master lectured you, his grin growing even wider. His huge chocolate eyes glittered - he was clearly enjoying it.
In general, he will eventually finish badly and you will hit or slap him, although then you will probably regret it. But thank God, not today. You let a deep, loud sigh. You need to finish all this.
"Okay, I'm going to take a bath" you muttered wearily, but loud enough for the Time Lord to hear and headed for the deep of the time machine.
You let go of your support and took a couple of small steps... But then, abruptly and unexpectedly, your head began to spin and vision blurred. Your legs betrayed you - they shook and swayed, no longer solid and turned to jelly. Your body became so heavy that there was no chance of standing straight. That was what happened.
But thankfully, your body didn't touch the cold metal floor. Your eyes saw clearly again, focusing on the Master's face. He caught you by the waist - one of his hands was on your back and the other was firmly wrapped around your waist.
Your pupils were huge, overlapping your eye color. Your huge eyes blinked rapidly, trying to understand what had just happened. It didn't take a genius to know you were surprised.
"Thank you, you can let me go now. I'm fine now" you assured the Time Lord, frowning slightly and forcing a smile to convince him of your supposedly improved condition. In fact, you couldn't tell right now if you were feeling better. Maybe the next minute you'd feel the opposite.
You just wanted to get rid of his grip, because you weren't used to being so close to him. Especially with the Master. Sure, you had some feelings for this cocky but damn attractive alien, but you weren't ready to cross that line. Your maximum was when the Time Lord took your hand, but that was only because you two had to run.
"No, you're not fine" he argued in return, tightening his grip on you. His dark, thick brows drew together and his jaw clenched. You were so hoping your little smile would convince him.
And then something unexpected happened to you. Suddenly, you felt something slide under your knees (probably one of the Time Lord's hands) and the ground went out from under your feet. But this time you didn't fall, you were in the air. The Master picked you up and carried you into the corridor of the time machine.
"Hey! Let me down!" you demanded. You put your hands on his chest and tried to push him away, but nothing much came of it, just slightly moved away from him.
"Don't push or I'll drop you" the Master snorted and spoke through his teeth.
At first glance, he seems angry, cold, insensitive, but in reality this is far from the case. And you knew it. It was his mask... Protection, to be precise. He was stupidly and stubbornly convinced, even believed that it would be better, that emotions only hinder.
You've told him the opposite all the time, trying to convince him. Honestly, it was easier to talk to a sheep or a wall. Your 'it's okay to feel emotions, including pain' speech did not help much, because the Master kept moving away from you, pushing you away.
You've been traveling with him long enough to get used to his harsh words and cold demeanor. But something in his voice sounded different than usual. He was more... Affectionate? Gentle? Yeah, you never thought you'd describe him in those words. But it was true. Despite your aching legs or slightly foggy head, you could clearly understand it.
Being on the hands of the Master, you reached the bathroom. He gently began to lower you. Slowly, no sudden movements. The Time Lord was afraid to hurt you, as if you were a porcelain doll. In the end, he put you on the bath. God, it was wonderful not to stand on your own feet anymore. This was the greatest relief!
The Master was in front of you, his hands at on his hips. His brows were furrowed and eyes on the floor, as if he was considering what else he needed to do to make you feel okay, no pain in your legs and dizziness.
"So you're my babysitter now?" you teased him by putting a smirk on your face. Your legs were dangling from the bath, hands were gripping it tightly.
"You humans would rather kill yourself than take care of yourself" the Time Lord grumbled (that's when you remember he's several thousand years old) with the obvious annoyance that always comes when someone doesn't understand a simple topic. But he didn't even deny babysitting with you.
"You know, it's like a declaration of love..." at first, your eyes were boring into the floor and then you looked at the Master from under your brows. You may have been teasing him right now, but you actually said what you thought.
The Time Lord just snorted and rolled his eyes, but after a few seconds, he looked at you carefully. It was obvious to you what that look meant - did you need any help? You wouldn't admit it even if you needed it, but you can take a bath on your own, without any help.
So you shook your head as a no. He looked at you sideways, of course, not believing a word you said, but he left you alone. You took a deep breath and closed your eyes, deciding to just sit there for a few minutes. Now your only desire was just rest and tomorrow you will decide what happened between you and the Master.

Suits you better

How great to spend an evening with a book in your hands! Diving in fascinating story, turning pages, lying on the most comfortable sofa in the console room. You were leaning on the armrest and bending your knees, on which laid a book.
It was some kind of novel about adventures in the future. You had enough adventures with the Master, but you wanted to know how normal people travelled. Not to say that you understood everything (after all, you are not from the 30th century), but it was pretty interesting.
Page 52... Page 53... Page 54... And bang! You jumped up on the couch at the deafening sound. It was like a thunder... No, it was just an angry Time Lady, ready to tear down and destroy everything in her path. Well, basically, it's the same thing... Who knows what is scarier? But one thing you knew for sure - at such moments it is better not to disturb her at all.
So you covered your face with the book, carefully peeking out from behind it and watching the blonde's actions. She beat the console loudly and with all her might, with hands and feet, causing the TARDIS to hum in displeasure. The Time Lady just rolled her eyes and turned away from the control panel in your direction, casting a glance at you. You immediately pretended that you were calmly reading a book all this time, not even paying attention to the loud sounds. Right now, the book was your only defense, your shield.
The Master moved in your direction and plopped down on the couch next to you. She was hunched over, her hands on her neck and a deep, irritated groan escaped her mouth. The sight of it made your heart ache in response and there was only one obsessive thought in your head that you should do something about it. To calm, to support, to help.
You drew your lower lip between your teeth and quietly closed the book, setting it down on the back of the couch. You took a sitting position, crossing your legs and slowly reached for her. Carefully, without any sudden movements, you put your small hands on her shoulders and began to gently knead them. You couldn't think of anything better to do than a massage. At least, it always helped you get rid of your anger and frustration.
Her shoulders were extremely tense, as if you were touching rocks. But over time, they began to slowly relax. Her eyebrows stopped being sharp daggers and a deep breath came out of her mouth. All the negative emotions and thoughts began to flow out of her body.
"I'm so sorry that the meeting went wrong" still working with your hands, you murmured softly, a little louder than a whisper, that you wouldn't spook the Master.
"You always know how to calm..." turning her face to you, the Time Lady faltered, her brow raised sharply as her gaze wandered over you. "Where did you get this?" she pointed to your clothes. The corner of her mouth turned up and her eyes glittered with mischief.
Your head sank down, looking at what you were wearing now. At first, you didn't understand what was wrong and then you realized. In days like this, when the Master wasn't around, you liked to wear her burgundy suit (which looked very good on her).
It was a hundred times better than all your clothes put together. It wasn't just about beauty, softness or comfort... More important was that it reminded you about this arrogant and dangerous Time Lady. In it, you felt like you were being huged by the Master.
Every day, every morning, your hand reached out to this suit somehow reflexively, without knowing why. Maybe it was because you felt protected, the Master would never let anyone hurt you with a finger. She was ready to destroy anyone if one hair fell from your head. Or maybe, well maybe, you're in love with her... But this is unlikely... At least, you tried to convince yourself.
"Um... Don't know... It was just in my closet..." rubbing your neck and shaking your head in denial, you made the most unperturbed face you were able to.
Although all your features were filled with embarrassment and the proof of this was your blushed cheeks. The Master just snorted at this and grinned. Her nose wrinkled, an eyebrow raised.
"Not just a thief, but also a liar..." you were greeted by a toothy smile.
The blonde moved closer and the air felt heavy. She smelled of coffee, orange and cinnamon. That wonderful, intoxicating smell filled your lungs, making all your senses a little foggy. It smelled exactly like the burgundy suit you were wearing.
"I don't know what you're talking about..." you argued, frowning and looking away. Slight, barely visible smile appeared on your face.
"You don't want to talk, I get it, love" Time Lady's voice sank lower to a velvety, honey-soft tone.
Now the two of you were so close that your breath came together as if you were one person. Your eyes fixed on hers. It was just one of those moments when something important was about to happen...
You put your warm hands on blonde's slightly cold ones and used that as leverage to pull yourself closer. You quickly and sharply pressed your lips to hers. Let traces of her blood-red lipstick be. It was too wonderful than think about such trifles.
You didn't want to be separated from the Time Lady. It was probably the best thing that was ever happened to you. But your lungs were running out of oxygen, so you had to do it, disconnect from her.
Your chest rose high and often, and the warmth spread through it. Maybe it melted your heart... You looked lovingly into her beautiful hazel eyes, filled with softness, care and love.
And how could you not be in love with the Master in such amazing, but at the same time rare moments? There was only one possible answer to this question - no. She was always arrogant, brilliant and exceptional, but you loved her the most in such moments.
"Can I ask you a favor?" you decided to take advantage of such a good opportunity. You wanted to ask her something you never did. Besides, the kiss and the suit you were wearing gave you an extra courage.
"I don't know, you did commit a crime after all..." the blonde just shrugged, her lower lip pushed forward and soon a cocky half-smile appeared on her face. Well, two can play the game...
"Hey! I won't give you a massage next time" you protested. You crossed your arms over your chest and turned head away, looking at her sideways. Your eyes waited for the Time Lady's next move.
"Let's not be so touchy, love. I didn't say I didn't forgive you. So what do you want?" at her words, you turned back to her. "Hug me please" you asked, making pleading eyes, even your lips trembled a little. In short, your face was contorted with a plaintive expression, so the Master certainly couldn't refuse you.
"You know it doesn't work on me, right?" her grin widened. The blonde carefully studied your reaction, which almost immediately followed. You opened your mouth, trying to find words, but were interrupted. "I think, that could be arranged" your pupils were round and you blinked quickly, reflexively in surprise.
"So you are... Do you agree?" you barely found the strength to ask the Time Lady again.
"Hurry up before I change my mind" the Master only rolled her eyes at your reaction, but smiled.
You didn't waste a second - your arms reached out to her, wrapped around her and you finally hugged the Master, which you didn't really hope would ever happen in your life. In her turn, the blonde didn't expect such quick motion, so her hands hung at the sides of her body.
"Actually, this is the moment when you should hug back" you pointed out. At your words, her hands slowly went up. The blonde gently and lightly hugged you. Hugs weren't clearly on her daily list. "That's better..."
You immediately melted into this embrace, pressing against the curve of her neck. It was so nice. No, that's not the word... Protected. A real hug with the Master was better than being in her suit... Well, a little better. Just a little bit. The only thing you wanted right now was for it to last forever. And each of you wanted it. Only the Master's voice broke this magnificent moment:
"Wear this suit more often. It suits you better."

fem reader makes a wreath for whittaker! master, why does she hinder the master's mission and she lost the crown that came to steal
Thank you, anon! It so cute request, I really like it! So, this fic turned out more fluffy than I thought, but I hope you'll enjoy!
A new crown
---------------------------------------------------
"Good morning, sweetheart" the Master greeted you without even taking her eyes off the console and checking the TARDIS' navigation systems.
"Morning" you muttered back.
And then nothing happened. Just nothing. No movement or sound. All that separated you from total silence was the hum of the time machine, the pulling of levers and the pressing of buttons. Usually, even if you didn't go anywhere, you would bug the Time Lady with all sorts of questions or listen to her entertaining stories and perfectly thought-out plans.
That's why the Master frowned. She gave you a quick glance from head to foot. You were still standing at the entrance to the console room, shifting from one foot to the other, hands behind your back. Your gaze wandered around the room, but more often went down. Anyone who came in would know something was wrong.
"Y/N, don't drag it out. What happened?" the blonde sighed in exasperation, rubbing the bridge of her nose. She didn't want to have this 'alright-but-it-is-not' conversation. She had enough to do today and now had to deal with you.
"Nothing special. It's all right!" you tried to put on a straight face, but your voice gave you away, rising high enough that it wouldn't convince anyone, especially the Master. She isn't so easily deceived, she is the queen of lies.
You could tell by the sound of her heels, without looking up from the floor, that the Time Lady had come up to you, stopping a few inches from your face and hovering a little over you.
There was only one thought running through your head like a tape playing: 'I should have stayed in my room today. Or just go straight to the library, then I could say that I just read too much.'
"What are you hiding behind your back?" the Time Lady asked firmly. From her voice it was clear that you should answer the question, otherwise it might end badly. "And I swear, if you say nothing again, I'll land you on Earth."
Your eyes were closed. Deep breath in and out. In and out again. You were gathering your thoughts and strength. Shame and awkwardness filled not only your head, but every cell of your body.
"Promise me you won't laugh even if it's stupid" you asked, but it was more like a plea.
"Dear Y/N, I always like what you say or do, even if it's stupid" at these words, your eyes instantly flew up and you stared into her hazel eyes, trying to find a trick or a mockery, which were quite common. Well, at least something, but you didn't find anything like it, not even close.
Your fear and worries have completely disappeared, as if they didn't exist at all. But there was embarrassment, which made your cheeks turn pink and you bit your lower lip.
Now or never. From your back, you took out and held out a small, charming, neatly woven wreath of red, orange and white flowers that smelled of honey and vanilla.
Yesterday, after stealing the crown (which you barely managed to do with great difficulty, because you both almost got killed), you went to a nice little planet. The TARDIS landed on a huge colourful flower field, so you couldn't help but pick a bouquet. And then you came up with the idea to weave a wreath, as you loved to do as a child.
Impatience bubbled in your chest as you waited for some reaction from the Time Lady. There was no emotion on her face, only her eyebrows were slightly raised. She hadn't clearly expected this at all. But it didn't last long - the blonde snorted and grinned.
"Oh, Y/N, you're so sweet" her gaze was warm and soft, which immediately calmed your frantic heart and nervous breath. You've always liked to see her like this, which isn't often.
"You really like it?" you were overwhelmed with emotions and It could be heard in your voice, because it wavered and dropped slightly. But your eyes were bright with joy.
"Sure I do" stated the Time Lady. You looked into each other's eyes and smiled in close proximity, just enjoying each other's presence. Like two idiots in love from romantic movies or books.
"Okay, I won't bother you" you stammered, quickly running off to the library in a good mood.
The Time Lady cursed under her breath and groaned in annoyance. Such a moment was spoiled. If you only knew how much power you had over her in those moments.
She must put this wreath in the trophy room.
You had just stepped out of the shower - just changed into clean, fresh clothes and wrapped a dry towel around your wet hair, when you heard your name. Why did the Master call you? There was an unpleasant feeling in your stomach that this wasn't just a friendly conversation...
When you arrived at the trophy room, you saw the Time Lady standing next to the empty monument in the pose of a mother scolding a child - her lips were folded in a thin line, one eyebrow raised high and her hands were folded on her chest. You swallowed nervously.
Damn it! After all, the Master discovered it. As they say, the truth comes out. And you were so hoping it would work. Well, at least she would have discovered the loss after a while. A couple of days would be good.
You had lost the crown, the one you and the Master stole recently. You were supposed to take it here and put it on this monument, but something (as always) went wrong. Somehow, you lost her. Despite the fact that you had already searched in every possible room where she could be, but nothing, as if she fell through the ground or magically disappeared. And that was partly why you made this wreath...
"So that's it. You've lost the crown..." the blonde said through gritted teeth.
Damn it again! The Master can read toughts. You forget it every bloody time and she takes advantage of it. How you wished you could get out of her sight or find that fucking crown.
"Were you even going to tell me?" her gaze was icy, burning you from the inside out. You couldn't stand it and closed your eyes, your head automatically lowered.
You felt fingers lightly grabbing your chin, lifting your head up. It made you open your eyes, quickly blinking.
"Look at me and answer the question" the blonde didn't scream, didn't even raise her voice, but the tone was so frighteningly emotionless that you couldn't help but mutter a barely audible no "You're lucky I really like the wreath."
With a wink, the Master left the room, leaving you alone with your confused thoughts, completely bewildered by what was happening. What was that? Will you get nothing for losing the crown? And then you just realized what she said. Your eyes were ready to fall out.
"Wait... What? " you asked and quickly went to catch up with the Master...

Hi! Could I request literally anything Whittaker!Master please?!
Also justt want to say that I love you’re writing and that you’re incredible 💕 have a great day
Aaaaaw, that's so nice of you! Thank you so much. At one point, I thought about stopping writing altogether, but you proved me wrong. Unfortunately, this took me longer than I thought (I was out of writing and fandom), but I hope you enjoy it. This is my present for you on my birthday :)
Dealing with the Devil
---------------------------------------------------
Another morning of another day. A normal morning. That's an odd word for you, considering you've been traveling with the Doctor, but not anymore. You'll have to get used to this word, to a new lifestyle and daily routine.
You didn't have an argument with a time traveler. You just outgrown these endless adventures. Of course, travel in time and space is wonderful, but it seems you're tired of constant stress, concern, anxiety, waiting for danger. From this point of view, it's not as exciting as it used to be.
Besides, you're tired of helping people all the time, risking your own life. Sometimes people have to overcome difficulties and let them save themselves. Maybe you've become more selfish over the years, but no one is perfect, so you weren't too worried.
The day was clear, almost cloudless, with no bright sun. Peace and tranquility. At such moments, you liked to go to a cafe, take your time, drink coffee with a bun in a pleasant and cozy atmosphere. In addition, it was where you made friends for the first time with a girl who works in cafe and is not associated with traveling in a blue police box. For that, you appreciated this place even more.
When you arrived at the cafe, waiting in line, you met the eyes of Lucy, your friend, who greeted you, but somehow without emotions, which wasn't like herself. Maybe she was just tired. Or was it just the morning? It's only 9 am.
You decided to look around for now. In the farthest corner on the right sat a man with an orange cap, typing something on a computer. And in the middle sat a lady in a big black hat, looking out of the window and holding a cup in both hands.
When your turn finally came, you ordered everything as usual, namely coffee with a croissant. You tried to start a conversation with Lucy while your coffee was being made, but nothing much came of it. Your friend didn't answer much, just smiled.
Everything would have been fine, but something was clearly wrong. Your instincts told you that and one thing you've learned from your adventures with the Doctor is that you can't ignore your instincts.
Your friend were just smiling, nothing suspicious or strange, but for some reason you felt uneasy, your back went all goosebumps. And you couldn't explain why.
'Please, Y/N, stop. Why do you always have to think about the bad things? It just seemed to you, stop looking for a catch' you thought. And it was true. What makes you think you're a trouble magnet and not the Doctor? The answer is obvious, isn't it?
After receiving your order, you sat down at a table and sipped some coffee, which was as always delicious. Well, the robot definitely couldn't make such a divine drink. So all your previous doubts were disappeared, dissolved in a fog of pleasure.
But something inside you said it was worth coming here tomorrow. God knows why. Maybe the coffee was so good or something else...
The next morning. The weather got a little worse, but that didn't spoil your mood. You were lucky to have two days off in a row. You didn't have to get up early and do anything special.
This time you were late - you left the house at 11 am. It was because first you decided to stay in bed and not get up, then you took a long time to get ready, and then you went to the cafe on foot, and not by bus as usual.
Once inside, you took a couple of steps forward and looked at the entire cafe, out of old habit. It was just like yesterday. Nothing changed. Also noisy and cozy, Lucy with a cold face, all the same people at the tables - at the farthest corner man with a computer and an orange cap, and in the middle a lady in a big black hat... Stop! Nothing changed at all! You have a photographic memory for faces.
'Okay, that's weird. Should I leave? Yeah, I think it's a good idea' you couldn't help but agree with your voice of reason and calmly, behaving completely normal, turned around and headed for the door...
But unfortunately, you didn't have time to get out - you ran into some big man. You were hoping you could get off with a quick excuse and sneak out, but he grabbed you by forearms hard, spun you around and pushed you forward a little. Everyone in the cafe looked at you with cold, unfeeling eyes, like robots.
At that moment, you had no doubt that something was wrong. Why do these things happen to you? Maybe it was a new version of Cybermen with invisible armor? Or Daleks masquerading as humans? If only the Doctor would arrive here, as usual, at the right moment...
"Oh, don't worry, I did everything I could to keep him out of our way" oh no, it was even worse than the Daleks and Cybermen put together. You knew exactly who said that. How could you not notice her blonde head and smug grin with red lips? Right now, you were just cursing yourself with every possible word and wanting to sink through the ground.
"Master..." you said it through clenched teeth, almost growling her name, which makes you weak, defenseless and annoyed you. And surely, the blonde grinned even wider, showing snow-white teeth.
"It's nice to know you haven't forgotten me yet, sweetheart" now the Master stood in front of you with all her arrogant majesty. She was watching you closely, waiting for your reaction. Her gaze seemed to look into your soul and ignite something in you, thus adding fuel to the fire.
"Don't call me like you and I are old friends" you barely restrained your anger, not to spoil a difficult situation, from which you still need to somehow get out. At least alive...
"Aren't we?" the Time Lady was feigning surprise. "Didn't you enjoy our moments together?" her lower lip pushed forward, as if offended, though you didn't even need to know the Master to know she was secretly exulting.
Not to say that you didn't stay alone with her, but the Master certainly didn't show any special interest in you. Just as a Doctor's companion, that's all. At least, that was what you thought.
You chose not to answer her question. It wasn't even you didn't want to please her. You just didn't know the answer to it. The blonde just gave you a toothy smile. She was having too much fun. You couldn't even remember when she was like this.
"What do you want from me?" you had enough of this. The sooner you found out what this arrogant Time Lady wanted, the sooner you'd turn her down and maybe be able to return home. Although knowing the Master, the last one was unlikely.
She walked around you like a snake encircling its prey and, standing behind you, whispered in your ear:
"An offer you can't refuse. But before I tell you about it, I suggest you sit down" the blonde pointed to the table with her hand. You didn't have much of choice: anyway, you'd end up at that damned table and listen to her. Voluntarily or by force.
So you reluctantly sat down at the table. A few moments later, the Master was sitting across from you. You tried to read her face to see what she was going to offer, but you couldn't. But you noticed something else.
The Master behaved somehow differently. Well, arrogant as always. Well, Time 'What is personal space?' Lady. But there was something else and it was eluding you, but it was clearly bothering you... Why did it bother you at all?
"What's the deal?" to be honest, you were really curious to know. Of course, your answer would remain unchanged in any case, but what exactly prompted the Time Lady to come to you and not just to annoy the Doctor.
"You can travel with me" she said, perfectly casually and serenely, glancing at her fingernails.
On the opposite, you were like being struck by lightning. Wow! Were we really talking about the same time traveler? Because it didn't really look like a Master.
Usually, she always laughs at the whole thing about companionship. But here we were, Master asking you to travel with her. Well, that was something you definitely couldn't predict. And what should you do in this situation?
"Do you want me to be your companion? Why?" there was a clear surprise in your voice, but you didn't try to hide it (her suggestion affected you so much). You could even feel your eyebrow go up and not down.
"I would say a partner. And to answer your question, why not? Not only the Doctor can have companions. Besides, he doesn't suit you at all" if that was even possible, your eyes widened even more. The second eyebrow rose to the first at the top. "You're more like me..."
Ha! A nervous laugh escaped from your throat. This was already out of the realm of science fiction. If you're impulsive and don't control your emotions well, that doesn't make you a psycho killer.
"That's not true!" you leaned back from the table, arms crossed defensively, and your nose wrinkled in displeasure.
The blonde looked up at you with her hazel eyes which glittered with mischief and pleasure. She got up from her chair, obviously coming up with something. The Time Lady came and stood behind you, her heels clacked on the floor with each step.
"Then tell me, why don't you care about these people?" the Master leaned toward you, her velvety voice sounding in your ear, like the devil was whispering in your ear. "If you did, you'd immediately ask what is wrong with them or beg me to fix them."
You turned your back on the Master and particularly on the people in the cafe. As much as you hate to accept it, she was right. Not to say that you didn't care about them, but now you were trying to get yourself out of this situation. You are not the Doctor, who can save everyone (or many people). You're only human, and of course, if you can save these people, you certainly won't mind.
"I'm still waiting for an answer. I hope you understand that otherwise these people will die, right?" well, of course, how can you do without blackmail? Now you understand very well the Doctor who has to make difficult decisions in such moments. That sucks, actually.
It's strange, but somehow you wanted to say 'no' even more than before. Not only to annoy the Master, but something told you that she wouldn't kill these people. Something has clearly happened to the smug Time Lady, something beyond your comprehension... For now.
And what if... It's very risky and may cost you dearly, but you had to try. What if it works? Actually, two can play this game, can't they?
"No" it's a good thing the blonde was standing right in front of you now, so you could see her really surprised face. It's worth a lot.
There was a grin on your face, which certainly couldn't please the Master. And it wasn't even followed by any weapons pointed at you or anyone nearby and that confirmed your assumption.
"What?"
"No" you repeated, getting up from your chair and slowly making your way back to the exit. "I am not the Doctor, who falls for your provocations. I'm not their savior and certainly not a babysitter," you pointed to the cafe visitors. "It was nice chatting, bye!"
You turned around and walked confidently and quickly to the door. Maybe you could still get home before the Master came to her senses. Although you certainly couldn't anywhere in the universe (and even more on Earth) hide from her...
But by the Murphy's law, things didn't go the way you planned or wanted them to. Just before you raised your hand to the doorhandle, you heard a soft, but definitely unexpected word:
"Please" if you didn't know the Master, you would have said her voice trembled.
You were supposed to keep going to the door, just keep going and get out of here. But your feet betrayed you. They just stopped and refused to go.
'It must be some trick or I just imagined it... Anything, but it can't be true' but that thought didn't stop you from turning around and asking:
"What?"
"Isn't that a word you say when you want something?" even from where you were, you could feel the irritation and... embarrassment? Your surprise was boundless.
"Yes, but I'm just surprised. This is the first time I've heard you say that"
Apparently, your mind was too clouded by emotions, because you really started to consider the offer. Your heart skipped a beat and you felt sorry for the Master. You never thought about it, but she doesn't have anyone. No one deserves such fate, not even the most dangerous person in the Universe.
"Fine..." surprisingly, the word just came out of you as if you had replayed this situation hundred times.
Before you got it, the blonde had already closed the distance, grabbed your arm and led you with quick steps to the TARDIS, which you just noticed. After all, the Master had the chameleon circuit working.
Before you put your foot in the time machine, you pulled your hand away. You had something to say. If the Time Lady wanted to travel with you, it would be on your terms. Well, as far as it was possible.
"But I have two conditions: first, no killing, I hate it" you didn't really believe that the Master would be able to contain it. But at least, in most cases. And that was worth something.
"You ruined all the fun..." the blonde rolled her eyes, but didn't respond further.
"What did you want from the Doctor's companion?" a smug grin appeared on your face, and the Master couldn't but just grin. "Second, bring these people back to normal."
Apparently, the Master assumed you would forget about them, because she snorted with displeasure, disappointed with your request. But she kept her word - after a snap of her fingers, all the people in the cafe seemed to wake up from a dream and began to look around, not understanding what had just happened.
The next thing you got, you were in the Master's TARDIS. And this is where a new chapter in your life begins. It probably won't end well, but who cares? You were willing to take the risk. Maybe this will be the best period in your life...

I have a little problem. I don't know what to write. More precisely, I have 3 fics that I like, but I don't know which one to choose:
Part 8 of "Promise..." (and I swear there'll be more fun and light)
Part 4 of "Missing you..." (it's angsty, but with hopeful ending. Plus, I wrote it about 60%)
Or just a drabble with Dhawan!Master and some mind manipulation and virtual reality
So please, guys, I need your help!

Whittaker! Master with a virgin Reader that I never kiss and never gave myself to anyone.
Hey, anon! Thank you for request. This is the first one in a while. And I hope I got it right. Well, somewhere in the middle of the fic, I had to rewrite everything, because I misunderstood request.
Anyway, this was so much fun to write all this, so I hope you enjoy!
Bodyguard for an angel
---------------------------------------------------
"I thought you didn't like this kind of thing" you said as you entered the control room and straightened your dress for the upcoming party.
You definitely didn't expect the Master to come into your room in the morning and wake you up, saying you two were going to a party. At first, when you were still dreaming through your half-open eyes, you didn't understand anything. But as soon as the Master came back in a few minutes later with the dress in her hands, you started to understand what she meant before.
"That's right. But you've been looking bored lately. That's why I decided to stir you up" the Master still wore her red shirt and waistcoat with some gold circles on it. They were like the other circles you saw in the Master's TARDIS.
Maybe she was right. Maybe you just needed to have some fun. So you followed the Master out of the TARDIS. You found yourself in utility room. Apparently, the Master decided not to use the chameleon circuit and hide the time machine from prying eyes.
Now you were in a giant white hall with orange and purple lights. To your left were huge windows with a view of space... Oh! So this party was on a spaceship.
You raised your head and looked curiously at everything and everyone. Even turned around to examine this room. You couldn't take your eyes away. Of course, thanks to the movies, this was about what you imagined, but who would have thought the directors and writers was right?
"Do you like it?" you jumped in surprise.
When you turned to the voice, you saw a rather attractive young man. Not your type, though. You just nodded, smiling sweetly. Not to say you were shy, but you weren't eager to talk to strangers.
"Are you here alone?"
"Um... Actually, I'm here with a friend..." you looked around nervously, searching for the blond head and frowning when you didn't find it. Apparently, you fell behind the Master while you were enjoying surroundings.
"I am the owner of this ship. There's a microphone in my office. We can make an announcement for your friend" the young man came up to you and abruptly pulled you to him with his hand on your waist.
A gasp of surprise escaped from your throat and your eyes blinked rapidly. If you looked down, you would see your hands were shaking from the whole situation. You cringed and tried to move away, but it didn't work.
"L-let me go, p-please..." from confusion and embarrassment (maybe surprise, too), you stuttered, trying to hold yourself back from going to a whisper.
The ship's owner simply didn't listen to your request and tightened his grip on your waist. Now you had no way out of this situation. No chance of escape.
But the worst part was everyone looked at you curiously. You were very nervous and worried about what everyone thought of you and the owner of the ship. And the more you paid attention to this, the more your cheeks got redder and your heart beat faster.
When you went upstairs and reached the door, you tried once again to get rid of unnecessary and unwanted attention.
"Thank you for caring, but I see my friend out there, so..."
But before you could finish or leave, you were pushed into dark office. You were far enough from the door to escape. Your first thought was the young man was going to kidnap you or something like this. But deep down, you had a feeling everything would be worse than you could imagine.
"What's going on? What are you doing?" you started to slowly step back from the ship's owner who was rapidly approaching.
"Same as you..."
"I don't know what you're talking about..." fear and worry began to grow in your chest. You couldn't even breathe. And your heart was pounding so fast that you could feel it.
Suddenly you hit something. It was a desk. There was nowhere to run. Besides, your pursuer was very close, a couple of meters away from you. You pressed head to your chest, turning away to avoid being kissed. You didn't want the first kiss in your life to be with some random stranger. But it didn't happen and you opened eyes, when you heard it.
"Take another step and I'll cut your throat" you saw terrified face of the ship's owner in front of you. By lowering your eyes a little, you could see why he was so scared. There was a knife at his throat.
"Master? What are you doing here?" you didn't see her, but you recognised her voice.
"Actually, I just came for a chat with old friend" if the room was brighter, you could have told for sure, but it seemed the Master pressed the knife closer. "Are you all right, pet?" she poked her head over the young man's shoulder, smiling broadly.
"I'm okay now" you pushed your hands away from the table and moved to the side so that you could see the Master properly.
"We need to talk, right?" the ship's owner made a faint sound of agreement and the Master juat giggled at this. "Go back to the TARDIS, love" she emphasised the last word softly. It sounded almost too soft, even sweet. As if she was trying to prove something.
"But..."
"Go" now it was an order that you couldn't fail to obey.
Without hesitation, you headed for the door. Now you were in front of the door and grabbed the handle, not looking back at the scene. But you wouldn't forgive yourself if you didn't try something. Just say it, not argue with her. You were really hoping you could get away with it.
"Please, Master, don't kill him" with that, you left the room, feeling the Master's gaze on you, which sent a shiver down your spine.
A few minutes later, when you entered the TARDIS, you leaned against the console, waiting for the Master, and stared at the door.
A lot of things were going through your head. What would happen to the young man? Would she kill him or not (although the answer was obvious)? How would the Master react to the current situation? What would she say and do? Maybe she'd just leave you in your small, unsightly apartment, which you didn't want to go back to, because the Master wasn't there.
The door slammed. Your eyes flew up at the blonde, entering the TARDIS. To your surprise, she looked cheerful. Besides, you didn't see any bloodstains on her hands or clothes. Although she wore a red shirt...
"Oh, darling, are you still here? I thought you'd decide to go to your room. Or you're waiting for my permission?" the Master was grinning at you, barely holding back from a giggle. It didn't take a genius to figure out she liked to live up to her name. "Then I'll let you, pet" every time she called you so, you started to blush a little. And that was probably why she kept doing it.
"Actually, I wanted to ask..." you started hesitantly with your head down, only occasionally looking up at the Master and immediately down as soon as you met hers. "What happened to him?"
"To whom?" did she really forget? In general, she could, but then there was another question 'would she?' Or maybe, she was just pretending.
"To the ship's owner..." The Master still seemed thoughtful, like trying to remember who it was. Now she was definitely pretending. "The one you held the knife to."
"Ah, you mean him..." sometimes the drama irritated you, especially when it was completely out of place. "Why do you care about him? Do you like him?" the Master's face was completely cold and emotionless, which usually meant she was angry.
"What? No, of course not. I don't want to think what would have happened if you hadn't intervened..." the Master didn't show any emotion, but you could see in her eyes she calmed down. "I just don't want more blood on your hands because it's my fault for getting into trouble" now you didn't dare look up, because most likely she would laugh at you.
But you were wrong. Nothing happened for a few seconds. Well, you couldn't tell for sure, because your eyes stared at the floor. Maybe, you should look at the Master, but you didn't. So the Master raised your chin, forcing you to look directly into her eyes. And you didn't see a hint of a mockery or anything like that. No, on the contrary, they were full of care and soothing gliter.
"It's not your fault, love. I forbid you to even think about it" you couldn't help but smile at that. After a short pause, the Master continued, seeing you were ready to listen.
"I'm very flattered you care so much about me. But honestly, that bastard deserves to die just for trying to kiss you. I couldn't let him defame an angel like you" the hand tucked a lock of hair behind your ear as gently as anything she said. "But I didn't kill him. I couldn't, because you asked for it so nicely" and that was how it always ended, when the Master was soft. Sometimes, she was so predictable. "Now go to your room and rest, pet."
It was hard not to roll your eyes, but you weren't going to stop yourself from doing it. But before you left, you wanted her to understand something. Very important to you. And given how bad the Time Lords were in their feelings, you needed to be direct.
"I just want to say it really means a lot to me. Thank you" in gratitude, you decided to kiss her on the cheek. This didn't count as a real kiss.
After that, you quickly went to your room, leaving the Master speechless. She was rarely silenced by anything. Always had a sharp word for any situation, but this time it was different. The Master had no idea it would come to this. But the reward was definitely worth it. And she always would be there to protect you. Always.

Promise is a beautiful lie (pt. 7)
Dhawan!Master x Reader
Words: 3191
Note: Finally I wrote it! And that’s why I have a very good mood. Hope, you too. Oh, and friendly reminder, my inbox is open and you can send me requests.
Previous parts:  1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6
---------------------------------------------------
The Doctor didn't tell you where you were going today. All she said was it would be a little hot. Obviously, she decided to surprise you. You never were happy with surprises. You liked when everyone talked to you straight. Besides, waiting was a real torture for you. You couldn't stand it.
Now you were in the TARDIS wardrobe, looking at yourself in the mirror. You were wearing a shirt and skirt. You liked it. Simple but stylish. But you decided to put on a white scarf made of light fabric. Now it was perfect.
'I like it. Looks great' you inwardly made a compliment.
'It would look better if you wore purple.'
Of course, how could be without him? Could the Master ever leave you alone for one day? You didn't process last night's meeting in the TARDIS and he was here again. There was one but. You didn't mind. Well, not exactly. You were, of course, but not as much as you could have been. Earlier you would have tried to get rid of the Master, but now you didn't really want it. Yes, there was a note of discontent, but certainly not a fountain.
'Has anyone ever told you you're obsessed with purple?' there was one advantage of this conversation. You could tease the Master. The main thing was not to get carried away.
'Yes, they don't shut up. Usually they quickly fall silent for some reason... So strange!' he said it so dramatically that you immediately rolled eyes. The sarcasm clearly sounded in his voice.
You walked through the corridors of the TARDIS, coming back to the console room. You decided to leave his remark without comment. Maybe the Master would leave you if you just didn't say anything. Honestly, you didn't particularly want to tease or argue with him. Just wanted to spend some time quietly on some alien planet. You had a lot of thoughts to deal with. For example, what the hell happened yesterday? So you were begging for two or three hours of solitude and peace.
'So, where are you going this time?' but apparently, this would remain a pipe dream. Deep down, you took a deep breath.
'Why do you want to know?'
'It's not polite to answer questions with questions, love' you could feel his grin. Could even imagine it. So often you had seen the Master lately. You felt it near your ear. Damn telepathy. Sometimes you just hated this.
'Anyway, I won't tell you until I know why' you crossed your arms over your chest, which made you a little uncomfortable walking. But you couldn't help yourself.
'I'm just curious' to your surprise, you believed the Master. It really sounded sincere. But out of habit, you asked.
'Really?'
'Yes, I'm not lying. Swear on two hearts it is.'
'I'm sorry. Just last time you pretended to be a different person and were jealous of yourself.'
'I wasn't jealous' you were sure the Master was offended and pouted. He often reminded you of a little spoiled child.
'Oh, right. How could I forget about your unsurpassed acting talent?'
'I forgive you. Next time I won't be so generous' you rolled eyes again. You thought you would soon see your entrails.
Finally you reached the console room. The Doctor was waiting for you, leaning on the console and reading a book. You didn't want to know what it was about. Either in a language that the TARDIS refused to translate or you wouldn't understand complicated words.
"Doc, I'm ready" she smiled and put the book away, looking at you.
"Wow! Scarf! I love scarves. I wore it once. It was so long that when folded in half it reached my heels and I was taller" your face immediately broke into a wide smile. You had no doubts that it was true.
'I always wanted to straighten it so the Doctor would fall.'
You weren't even surprised by the Master's comment. It was a little funny, though. Usually he tried to kill the Doctor, set a death trap for her. But right now it was quite different. Just a little prank. He was definitely a child at heart.
'I think it's cute' you objected.
'You just didn't see the scarf. It was multicolored and striped. No sense of style. I've never had a problem with style' and here he was again. Did the Master ever get tired of praises? Obviously not.
"Y/N, is everything okay? You're frowning" the Doctor peeked around the central column. Damn, she noticed. You got carried away with argument. Emotions showed on your face.
"Er... I was just talking to my mother yesterday. It brought up couple of unpleasant memories. It's okay."
You tried to give the Doctor a confused smile, but it was more tight and unconvincing. But it was enough for her to stop asking questions. A small sigh of relief escaped from your throat.
'Liar. Did you learn it from the Doctor or you always did it?' the Master teased. This situation clearly amused him. You really wanted to see his face and hit him so hard.
The Doctor stood at the door and opened it, inviting you to come out. So you did. You were met by a scorching red sun, which made you close eyes and put hand to your forehead to create some shade.
The sharp smell of spices hit your nose. So sharp that you wanted to sneeze. In front of you were stalls with all sorts of things. Spices, flowers, fruits, vegetables, technologies, etc. It seemed you could buy here everything in the Universe.
It was so atmospheric. There was a lot of people. Some of them examined and brought goods. Others shouted and argued. Apparently, didn't agree on price or quality.
Everything seemed so alive here. Real. No pomp and conventions. Simple and clear. That was what you really liked and missed a little. You couldn't take your eyes off this sight. It was even a little breathtaking. In a good way, of course.
"Welcome to Guoron. Planet of merchants and markets" the Doctor put hand on your shoulder as she lined up with you. "You said you wanted something simple. So I thought..." she didn't finish the sentence when she saw the tears in your eyes. "Sorry. I thought you'd like it. I can take you somewhere else..."
"Don't you dare. Don't even think about it" you said sharply, raising your voice at the Doctor and wiping away tears. "I'm crying with happiness. I didn't think it would be so great" you added more gently after seeing her surprised and wondering look.
The Doctor brightened. Her eyes showed she let out a deep mental breath. She was about to say something, but jumped up and ran to the counter.
"Oh, look. It's a waste-to-fuel Converter. I didn't know it was invented in the 37th century. I thought I was 39th. I learn something new every day" the Doctor never changed. This was probably a good thing. Besides, it was difficult not to like it. Every time she did that, you instantly smiled.
You decided to leave the Doctor. Let her examine mechanisms on his own. You weren't as interested in it as her. Honestly, you weren't interested at all.
You moved forward. Stalls were endless. It was like the street, you were walking on, led to nowhere.
You had some kind of alien fruit in your hands. You were given it to taste even though you didn't have any money. The Doctor must forget to give money to you. Or just didn't have it as usual.
The fruit was blue, round and bumpy. It was glowing a little. In general, it resembled a raspberry. Just increased in size. You took a small bite of the fruit. It tasted like watermelon. Great! Your first alien fruit was edible and delicious. But you hardly finished your meal when the Master appeared in your mind again.
'Aren't you tired of lying to the Doctor?' he definitely wasn't going to leave you alone. It was getting annoying, as if everything, that had happened yesterday, didn't make any sense.
'What else should I do? Tell her everything? I don't think that's a good idea. So what do you suggest?'
Before the Master could respond, you heard that someone was addressing to you and trying to get your attention.
"The girl with white scarf!" you turned and looked around. You were the only one who wore a scarf. Certainly white. But you asked with embarrassment.
"Me?" you said to the old lady in the orange dress, moving closer to her.
"Yes, you" she just smiled sweetly, even though you were still looking at her in confusion. You certainly didn't expect that someone here would address to you. "Don't you want to know your fate?"
"Sorry, but I don't believe in fate" you were already half-turned and about to leave, but the old lady wasn't going to give up so quickly.
"Aren't you curious, Y/N?" your eyes immediately widened as soon as you heard your name.
Where did she know it? Did someone tell her? But who then? Not many people know it (especially on another planet or century). You certainly weren't as famous as the Master or the Doctor.
"W-where do you know?" you barely managed to say it. Your voice was trembling. Disquiet and anxiety grew in you at an extraordinary rate.
The old lady didn't answer you. She just signed to follow her. You weren't sure you should do it. On the one hand, you really wanted to. After all, you always were curious.
On the other hand, you were worried. Maybe it was a trick. Like using you as bait for the Doctor. And that wouldn't surprise you very much. In your practice, this was the norm.
'Don't go, dear. Surely this is some kind of trap' in the Master's voice there was a... concern? He worried about you? If you didn't know him, you'd be pretty sure he did.
'It's nice to know you care about me' through the bond, you felt his resentment and annoyance. He must have crossed arms over his chest and rolled eyes. 'But I want to know where she knows my name. If you don't like it, get out of my head.'
It wasn't a good idea to talk to the Master like that, but you didn't care. This old woman was right. You were very curious. So much that it got the better of your disquiet. And even though you didn't believe in predictions, you couldn't help yourself.
Long pause. A long, tense pause. You even started to get nervous, because the Master didn't say anything. Nothing radiated through the bond, as if he wasn't in your head, although you could tell it wasn't true.
'Okay. I'll give you fifteen minutes' and now you were alone. Alone with all this madness. You were hoping in fifteen minutes you wouldn't hear the Master saying 'I told you so'.
You were a little sad he was gone. Honestly, you wanted him to stay. Now you regretted you sent him away. At least, it would be some support. And even if the Master teased you, it would be much better than being alone.
You went inside the store. It was dark. The only light sources were candles. The room had a couple of bookcases with various books. There were skulls on some of the shelves. You wanted to believe these were 'magic' skulls and not something else.
In the middle of the room was a table with two chairs. The old lady was already sitting at the table, shuffling cards, waiting for you, like she knew you would come in.
"Glad you didn't listen to the Master" you froze in place with round eyes. You didn't even hide your surprise.
How the hell did she know about the Master? He was in your head. He even wasn't on this planet. And in general, how did she know you argued with him to come in or not? Now you weren't only curious, but also scared.
"Sit down" you slowly sat in the chair in front of the old lady. You were still waiting for the catch.
"Where do you know my name?"
It was the only thing that made you be here. You wanted to deal with this quickly and get out of here as quickly as possible. That lady scared the hell out of you. Perhaps, more than the Master had ever done.
"Take four cards from the deck" you quickly blinked your eyes. Your mouth opened to object, but she cut you off. "Just do it. I promise you'll get answers."
Brilliant! It didn't bother you at all. The woman, who knew your name and your meetings with the Master (even the Doctor wasn't aware of it), didn't frighten you at all. Just the best day on this damn planet!
Your hand with wariness (as if you put your hand on a hot pan) pulled out four cards.
"I made predictions to many people. Counts, generals, kings and others. And some of them came across a card that means deadly danger" she said, shuffling your cards.
'Um... Okay, but how does that explain she knows me?' you thought to yourself, shifting in your chair. You were hoping the Master would say something now. But unfortunately, this didn't happen.
"Your first card is the inverted King of swords. In your past there was a strong enemy who caused you a lot of trouble and suffering. He has done you serious harm. Did you have him?" the abrupt transition confused you a little. Maybe this old lady would tell you later what she meant earlier.
You were thinking. Yeah, you had one guy at school who bullied and humiliated you. You even cried about it a couple of times, but you wouldn't call him a strong enemy.
In general, you could include the Master there, if we talked about the past. But he wasn't exactly your enemy, he was the Doctor's. But considering he threatened you and your friends... So theoretically, he was.
"Yes, I had. But perhaps, everyone had such person" the lady nodded at this and on her face was written 'fair'.
"Well, they were threatened with death, but they were always saved by someone" you frowned, trying to understand who she was talking about. Probably about her clients. "The more such predictions were made, the more I learned about this person. And that was you."
Wait what? You quickly blinked in surprise. Would you save someone? Of course, you traveled with the Doctor, but usually it was she, who saved the situation.
"Well, yes, I'm traveling with the Doctor, but I'm only helping her..." you lowered your head and rubbed your neck in confusion.
"No, it was you and not with the Doctor. Have any clue?"
Even if that was true, how could you save alien kings and counts without her? You didn't have your own ship... And then it hit you. You even forgot about it. You met the Master from your future and he said you two were together. Well, after that, you interrupted him, not wanting to know what he meant.
Apparently, in the future, you would travel with the Master and dissuade him from killing. And it seemed possible. Of course, you were a little unsure of your guess, but that was the only explanation.
Besides, the more you met the Master, the more you believed he could change. And if he could, maybe one day... you would leave the Doctor for him (and just a month ago you thought that was impossible).
You would not because you were attracted to the Master. You just felt like you were the only one who were good to him. Plus, the Doctor had Fam. In the worst case, she would easily find a new companion, but the Master wouldn't.
"Wow! Congratulations. You got the Sun. Now your life is like a fairy tale. Adventure and true love. Perfect combination" okay, let's say the first time it was an accident. But now it didn't feel like this.
You definitely couldn't complain about your life now. It was really good. You saw the stars and history again with your own eyes. And there was definitely something between you and the Master. You wouldn't say (at least, for now) it was love. But you couldn't deny you didn't have feelings for him, either.
"Let's say I believe you, but why did you say 'I'm glad you didn't listen to the Master'?" you decided she shouldn't know she was right. You still didn't trust her, but the more time passed, the more you believed her story.
"I know you've been talking to him a lot lately. Don't worry, the Doctor won't know about it" the tension began to gradually leave your muscles. You didn't even notice it until now. "I know a lot about you from the predictions. Didn't I say that?" you looked away. You needed time to digest all this information.
Honestly, you weren't as scared as you were when you first came in. Of course, you were, but for some reason, deep down, you believed her. Felt this lady would do no harm to you.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Really sorry" your eyes were quickly up to her face, asking 'what happened?' "Inverted Ten of swords. This is one of the most frightening card. You will soon face a terrible ordeal. And it will bring you tears, pain and devastation."
It was like you were struck by lightning. Although you didn't believe in fate (after all, previous cards didn't fully convince you), it was still scary to hear this. You didn't want to know what the last card would be. It didn't take a genius to figure out what it would tell you. Your future in general.
You got up and walked quickly to the door. The old lady tried to stop you, but you weren't going to turn around. You were devastated. No thoughts, no emotions. Just nothing. The only thing you wanted was fresh air. Well, as far as it was possible in the market.
When you entered a small alley, you stopped and pressed your back against the wall, taking a deep breath and closing your eyes. Surely, you didn't think the day would pass like this. It was supposed to be wonderful. Supposed to be.
You had no idea you were going to be so upset today. Especially from fortune telling. It was more likely the Master would spoil your mood, but certainly not this.Maybe you shouldn't have left. Maybe the last card was a good one. Maybe everything would end well. You would live happily ever after...
You stood there for a few more minutes in silence. Alone with yourself... Damn, you wished the Master was back in your head. His taunts would cheer you up. Who knew you loved them so much? Certainly not you.
When you came back to normal a little, you were about to leave and find the Doctor, but you were violently grabbed by arms.

I'll release part 7 of "Promise..." tomorrow. Finally. I was so upset that I just had no inspiration to write, but now it's okay

Be for you
Dhawan!Doctor x Reader
Summary: On your first week at work, your boss called you. You felt a little thrill. And not by accident...
Words: 3446
Note: I’m not a big fan of Doctor x Reader relationship (I think, my works show it clearly), but Dhawan!Doctor... He’s just cute and soft boy. He deserves more love. Hope, you enjoy it!
--------------------------------------------------- Who would have thought that on the first week at work (after traveling with the Doctor) you would be standing in front of this door? In front of your boss' door. You weren't exactly jumping for joy.
You didn't dare knock on the door. Your hand stopped halfway. It was so unusual. You weren't at work for a long time, because your adventures with the Doctor lasted for two months without a break.
Although that was in the past now. You must return from the stars to Earth. Your schedule just required a few corrections. For example, cross out saving planets from monsters and add a daily boring, completely normal work. Easier to say than do.
"You wanted to see me?" you hesitantly and shyly knocked on the door and looked into the office.
"Yes, come in, Y/N."
Now you were inside. It was a nice office. There was a lot of wood here. Walls, table, bookcases. In addition, there was nothing extra. Mr. Peterson, your boss, stood at his desk and made a sign with his hand for you to sit down in the chair.
You hadn't been here very often. You were an ordinary employee. Maybe it would have been better if it hadn't been for adventures among the stars and in different eras. That was why your chest was filled with confusion and thrill.
"So, why did you call me? Did I do something wrong?" of course, this was unlikely to happen. After all, in fact, it was your first working week in a long time and you did everything as usual.
"Oh, no. It is exactly the opposite" your boss had a nice smile on his face. You inwardly let out a sigh of relief. "You're doing your job well, but that's not why I called you. I wanted to know why you weren't at work for 2 months."
Damn it. That was bad. You needed to lie. You couldn't tell him you were a time traveler. Besides, no one forbade you to ask the Doctor to return you a second after he took you. And he offered it to you, but you just shook your head. So it was partly your fault.
"Well... I was traveling."
That was the only thing that came into your head. You could have done better. But it wouldn't be so difficult to lie about it. After all, it was true. You just didn't need to say where... And when.
"Traveling? Where?" Mr. Peterson walked around you and stood behind you. You didn't turn your head to look at him.
"Um... in Europe" actually, it was so. You were in Europe, but not in the 21st century... Well, there were adventures in space. "France, Spain, Germ..."
You were interrupted. There was a strange sound in the room. It was like bones crunching or breaking. You turned in your chair, gripping the arms tightly. Mr. Peterson's head was shaking like he had a seizure...
For the God's sake! It took your breath away, because you definitely didn't expect this. Something started to come out of his head... No, not something. It was the eye of a Dalek! A blaster appeared from his hand. Great! Your boss was a Dalek. Where did the Daleks get these ideas?
Before you could jump out of your chair, you were blinded by a bright light. Head felt heavy and dizzy. After a second, everything went dark and you passed out.
*
'Am I dead? Is this life after death? Why does my head hurt so much?' wait... If you were dead, how could you feel pain? And the floor was very cold, like metal.
'So I'm not dead. But why am I alive? It was a Dalek. Isn't he supposed to kill everyone who isn't Dalek?'
So many questions and so few answers. Maybe if you tried to open your eyes, you would learn something. Like where you were or why you weren't killed. Your eyelids were heavy, as if they weighed several tons. But you overcame yourself and managed to open them. Vision was blurred and the room was spinning a little. Maybe you had a slight concussion.
Okay, you weren't dead. There was a little doubt, though. The room you were in was completely white and empty. Very empty. There was nothing. No furniture (which made sense, since the Daleks didn't need it), no windows. Only white walls, floor, ceiling and door.
Wait... The door! You ran up to it and pulled the handle. Unfortunately, the door didn't budge. You put a little more effort into it, but this didn't work either. This was useless. The door was locked and there was no way out of this situation.
You weren't alone for long. The door opened and a Dalek entered. Normal Dalek. In a metal case. Who would have thought you'd be happy about this? At least, something normal... Well, as far as it was possible with Daleks.
"You must come with me" a shiver went down your spine. Despite two years of traveling with the Doctor, you still were a little afraid of the Daleks.
"Why must I?"
The Dalek ignored your question. He just turned around and walked out of your prison cell. Okay... To get answers you needed to follow him. Besides, you didn't have much choice.
You followed your jailer through the corridors. The corridors weren't high. Not that you hit your head on the ceiling. This wasn't true. You didn't bend, but it wasn't so comfortable.
And you were in a spacious room. It must have been the bridge of a ship. You stopped in front of big (bigger than the others) red Dalek. Obviously, he was in charge. You were surrounded by other Daleks, which there were many. Dozens. Hundreds.
Yeah! You definitely couldn't escape. Even if there was one Dalek, you wouldn't be able to do it. The Doctor once said one Dalek could take over the Earth. So you didn't stand a chance.
"Why am I here? Why didn't you kill me?" you asked, suppressing your fear and taking your courage. You were just tired of being a lady in distress and shaking with fear. The Doctor wouldn't stay quiet, so you wouldn't either.
"You will tell us where the Doctor is" the Supreme Dalek's thunderous voice rang out across the room.
So that was why you were here. That explained why you weren't killed. Not so bad. But it turned out the Daleks knew you. Knew you were traveling with the Doctor. And it twisted your stomach.
"What makes you think I know where he is?" you had no idea where the Doctor was. As soon as the Daleks realise this, they would kill you immediately. So you were going to stall. Usually, it helped the Doctor.
"You are companion of the Doctor. You know where he is" that wasn't really how it worked. These were two completely different things. But the Daleks didn't need to know that.
"And I'll tell you because..."
"We'll kill you."
Well, that wasn't exactly the best prospect. Of course, you didn't dream of it. But that wouldn't convince you to say (even if you knew where the Doctor was, that wasn't so). Of course, you were afraid of death, but you would never betray the Doctor... Wait! Oh, you got it.
"You won't" the Supreme Dalek was clearly surprised. If he had a face, you'd see it. But it was clear enough.
"Why? Explain!" The Daleks around you also shouted 'Explain!'
"If you kill me, you won't find the Doctor" if this information saved you from death, then you would be silent. You didn't care you didn't know.
"Then we will hold you as a hostage" apparently, you weren't the only stubborn here. The Daleks weren't giving up, trying to find some benefit from the fact they captured you.
"That still doesn't answer my question."
You crossed your arms and raised an eyebrow in disbelief. You were no longer afraid. Well, not exactly. The Daleks still gave you the creeps, but at least, they wouldn't shoot you with a blaster. Although you had no idea how to get out of here.
"The Doctor will come for you" you only ironically smiled.
The Doctor wouldn't come. You recently had a argument with him. In general, this was the first time. And probably the last.
The Doctor brought you to a planet that (as you later learned) was ruled by a tyrant. Oppressed the people, restricted the rights and freedoms of citizens, constantly fought with other planets. A typical tyrant.
So you and the Doctor were in the lair of the Resistance, which was preparing an attempt to kill this tyrant. Of course, he was terrible ruler. There were no questions.
But killing wasn't right. The Doctor thought the opposite, although the Doctor you started traveling with would never have thought like this. Then there was a argument and you ended up leaving him.
"Seriously? Do you really think the Doctor will come for me? So I want to inform you... you're wrong. He won't come."
"But you are companion of the Doctor..."
"Yes, it is. But the Doctor had so many companions that it's difficult to count. We travel with him and this is the best time of our lives. But it always ends. He leaves us and never returns."
Something slid down your hand, but you didn't pay attention to it. You wanted to finish your monologue first. Then you could check what it was.
"The same thing happened to me. The Doctor isn't an idiot to come straight to you" you felt someone pulling your hand and quite hard. "Surely he has already found a new companion and is traveling with him or her. And I don't even resent it. Because that's his life. And that's why it was so painful for me to leave him."
The Daleks stopped paying attention to you and listening a long time ago. They were looking at something... or someone. You heard your name. These tins didn't know it for sure. So you turned abruptly to this voice.
For the God's sake! You didn't expect this. Everything you said was true. You were absolutely sure. Didn't even exaggerate. But you were very wrong. The Doctor was standing to your left, holding your hand. You couldn't believe your eyes.
"Is it really you?" your hand went to his face to make sure the Doctor was real. But you uncertainly pulled your hand away, flexing fingers.
"Yes..." a nice and sweet smile appeared on the Doctor's face. But it didn't last long. You slapped him with all the force and anger you had.
"You idiot! You did what they wanted you to do. What for?" you were so mad at him. Sometimes the Doctor was so stupid, despite his age and knowledge.
"Ouch! That hurt!" he put a hand to his burning cheek, rubbing it to ease the pain. "I came to save you and this is how you thank me?" you just rolled eyes.
"Serves you right. I'm not worth getting you shot. You have other things to do. Saving the Universe, for example."
"There's no point in saving the Universe if you're not there" after that, your carefully constructed walls collapsed. Fell apart. Scattered brick by brick. You couldn't be mad at him anymore.
"So you have a plan, right?" you stood half-turned to the Daleks, looking at the Doctor with hope in your eyes. He couldn't have come here without a plan, could he?
"Plan? For what?" his round eyes met yours. The Doctor looked surprised. Dork... Or maybe he was just playing in front of the Daleks? But he still was a dork.
"To escape, of course."
"I thought it was just a friendly conversation. I didn't even take the TARDIS with me!"
The last sentence was very loud. Even too loud. The Daleks definitely heard that. And it was definitely not done by accident.
The TARDIS must be somewhere nearby. You carefully and attentively looked around, but there was no blue police box. So she was somewhere on the ship? No, not likely. That would be stupid. How would you find it then and why the Doctor said it so loud? Obviously, the Doctor came here on the TARDIS.
What if... Of course, it sounded crazy, but it was the only explanation you had. Besides, after traveling with the Doctor, you realised many things were possible. You assumed the TARDIS was invisible. If you weren't mistaken, the Doctor mentioned a long time ago that did it once and ended up in the White house in 1969.
In any case, it would be difficult to find the TARDIS. But you weren't going to give up so easily. You tried to find the box with your hands, which you put behind your back.
"So, why did you guys want to see me?"
The Doctor clapped as he moved closer to the Daleks, who even moved away. Great. The Doctor drew all the attention to himself. You mentally thanked him, because now you had more time to find the invisible police box.
"Exterm..."
The Supreme Dalek didn't finish sentence, as the Doctor interrupted him. You couldn't help but smile at that. You missed it so much. This was so similar to your Doctor.
"Oh, come on! It's been so long since we've seen each other. Why don't we talk first and then you try to kill me?"
There was a pat. You prayed to all possible gods that the Daleks didn't hear it. Well, at least, they didn't pay enough attention. You finally found the TARDIS. Well, you groped. A few seconds after and the door handle was in your hand.
"Although you are Daleks. For you talking and killing is the same thing" the Doctor walked up to you without turning to you. "Y/N, are you ready?"
You nodded and opened your mouth to say something, but you didn't have time. The ship tilted. You immediately realised it was time to act (apparently, an old habit from travelling in time and space).
You pushed an invisible door and stepped in console room. The Doctor came in after you and slammed the door. A second later, the sounds of blasters and Dalek shouts were heard.
And now you were in the TARDIS again... Home again. You missed it very much. But you wasn't sure of what exactly. The TARDIS, adventures or the Doctor. The Doctor ran to the console, frantically pushing buttons and pulling levers.
"What will happen to the Daleks? Why did the ship tilt?" you tried to catch up with the Doctor to see his face, but you couldn't. He was running around the console too fast.
"I just shut down the generator and engines beforehand, so their ship is falling." He finally stopped and gave you his brilliant smile. A sign that you should be impressed. You should, but you weren't. There was one unpleasant thing. More bad than unpleasant.
"Falling? But the Earth is under it!"
"Don't worry, they had a teleport. I just moved the ship to orbit of another planet" you just raised an eyebrow at this remark. Not because you didn't believe, but because you was curious where exactly. "Skaro, planet of the Daleks. Decided to bring them home."
The Doctor came closer to you and let out a deep breath. Apparently, he was afraid to say the next sentence. Was afraid you'd say no. It's like he was in a minefield and stepped on one, instead of talking to you.
"I... I'm sorry. Really sorry. I was awful. When you left... I wasn't worthy to be called as the Doctor..."
He smiled, looking at you for a few seconds and studying your face, which showed no emotion. His eyes were glazed and filled with tears, so he looked away as if ashamed.
"Teach me to be him" it was barely above a whisper.
You stared blankly at the Doctor. It hurt to see him like this. He never cried... Well, at least, you didn't see it. And it pricked your heart. He cried in front of you. Doctor. Cried. The one the Daleks were afraid of and whole armies fled.
"Look at me, please" your hand went to his cheek and a faint smile spread across your face.
The Doctor only raised his eyes. There was regret and pain in them. You were trying to figure out why. You didn't say no to him. Silly.
And that was probably why you loved him. Very much. You just realised the Doctor was more than a friend to you. Being away from him for a while (even if it wasn't long) showed you that.
You looked at the Doctor and he looked at you. It was like you had a silent conversation with him. Without words or telepathy. And it must come to end, because you did something.
You closed the distance and kissed him, pulling his face closer with your hand. You felt something wet on your cheeks. It must have been his tears... Or yours?
You two were crying. You missed each other so much. Adventures together, reading in the pleasant silence of each other and looking at the stars in the doorway of the TARDIS. None of you had any idea how painful the separation was.
When you pulled away, you just noticed how his hands were on your waist and yours on his shoulders.
"So you..."
Before the Doctor could finish, the phone rang. Someone wanted to contact you. Your cheeks are flushed and red with embarrassment and shame. You bit your lower lip. Whoever it was, you hated him or she very much right now. The moment was ruined.
"I need to answer it."
You were out of his arms. Didn't want to, but you had to. For you it was sad and offended. You took your phone out of pocket and looked at who was calling you. It was Anya, your sister. You took a deep, heavy breath and picked up the phone.
"Hello?" you were silently cursing Anya and hoping it wouldn't take long. "Well, I finally got through to you, Y/N. I'm at your door. Where are you?"
"Um... What do you mean?"
"I'm talking about our movie night. Have you forgotten?" damn it! Movie night. You were so ashamed, because Anya stood at your door and at this time you were in the TARDIS, millions of light years away from your apartment.
"Nooo. Of course, not" even from your voice it was clear this wasn't true.
"You're somewhere else, aren't you?"
"Yes..."
"Ugh! Y/N, seriously?! We haven't been able to gather together and watch some movies for half a year."
"Listen... I don't know how to tell you this..."
You looked back at the Doctor, who was watching the phone conversation. You didn't know before whom you were more ashamed. Before the Doctor for interrupting such a moment or before Anya for making her stand at your door.
"You went on another trip with your mysterious boyfriend that you don't want me to meet. I already understood" but the irritation in her voice was gone. Now there was... Curiosity? "So you made up with him? Oh, so our little Y/N learned to cope with difficulties."
"Anya!"
Your sister often liked to annoy and tease you. Although this strange way she showed she was caring and you knew it. But it didn't mean you liked that.
"Okay. But seriously, I'm happy for you. I'm just warning you if there isn't movie night next time, I'll break your boyfriend's nose."
You just rolled eyes and looked at the Doctor again. You were hoping that if he met your sister, it wouldn't be under these circumstances.
After saying goodbye to Anya, you headed for the door leading to the center of the TARDIS. But before you were halfway there, the Doctor stopped you by grabbing your wrist and looked at you questioningly.
"What? I want to change clothes. Office wear isn't very comfortable on the beach. Or on Spa planet" you tried to say it seriously, but your smile gave you away.
After that the Doctor released your hand, almost jumping with joy that you were staying at the TARDIS.
You could feel his eyes still studying you. Apparently, the Doctor was trying to answer questions that came up after your conversation.
You were trying to find answers, too. You both still had to figure out what happened before the phone call. What it was all about and how far it would go. But this would remain for another day. Now you needed to relax.
