michael was a hard person to miss. as an empath evie grieved the death of everyone who’s held space in her life to a certain extent. but with michael it was different. she had a hard time missing someone who made life difficult. held secrets over your head. she’d never wish death on anyone. she just couldn’t bring herself to miss someone who she used to be so close with. that was a hard realization. coming back to school without him was strange though. evie enjoyed her summer traveling with family. the first week back was always an adjustment. the absence made it more difficult

evie approaches aj and takes the seat across from her as the other women looks up. “hey! how’s your first week back?”

she hadn’t talked to anyone all summer, opting to isolate & ignore her texts or phone calls — it was easier that way. aj’s grief had peaked at the end of the spring semester, just around what would have been she + michael’s anniversary, if they had been together for another year. that was when she closed in on herself; doubled down on studying & was rarely seen practicing her volleyball skills at the recreation center.

she thought that if she hid, no one would ask her how she was or how her summer went. of course, when hiding in plain sight, that wasn’t an option. the feeling of somebody’s presence removes her from her reverie, brown hues coming in contact with the figure standing near her.

reluctantly, aj broke the silence, “uhm — hey.”

“i didn’t love it.” not necessarily to any fault of the movie. bella wasn’t a huge fan of superhero movies. “but labeling it a bad movie may have been harsh.”

⸻ have you seen ISABELLA SONG? yes, the TWENTY FOUR year old / GRADUATE that’s usually wandering around campus? they’re currently focused on SPORTS SCIENCE, so we’re sure they’ve been super busy with studying. according to rumors, they were michael’s EX GF and he knew they became addicted to caffeine pills . does it make sense considering they’re known for being PERFECTIONIST as well as OBSESSIVE. either way, the phantom is threatening to bring scary things to light, but let’s hope whatever they’re hiding stays in the dark.

⚬ born to first generation korean americans. an only child. both worked demanding corporate jobs. raised by her nanny. when she was old enough she was on her own most of the time. she was raised in a strict household and her parents had expectations they wanted her to follow. resented them for this. felt she didn’t get the childhood she deserved.

⚬ her parents were both athletes in high school and into college. her mom pushed her into every sport she could get into. extra curricular was a big deal if she wanted to get into a good school. she’s stuck with cheer and swim throughout her education.

⚬ also was apart of a lot of after school clubs. her parents wanted her to be a well rounded individual.

⚬ queen bee of her high school. popular but also top of her class. would never even think of getting less than an a. valedictorian of her class.

⚬ had a hard time adjusting during her first year of college. questioned if she was going to make it though her freshman year. still struggles despite being a graduate. struggled outside of academics too. first time on her own and without her parents supervision. she may have been slightly wild her freshman year. reigned it in by her sophomore year.

⚬ met micheal her sophomore year. started dating in the winter term of that year. broke up in the spring of her junior year.

⚬ genevie kouri was born on a warm summer night to two loving parents. she was a miracle for the kouri family. It was after years of trying and failing that her parents had finally conceived a viable pregnancy. her mother was able to carry her to full term.

⚬ because of this she was spoiled by both her parents and her extended family. this included grandparent and her single aunts and uncles.

⚬ her childhood was filled with frilly pink dresses and baby dolls. and while this may not seem strange for some it was to a majority of those around her. someone of her birth sex shouldn’t play with dolls. her parents were made well aware of this. It was acknowledged, but ultimately ignored.

⚬ when genevie ultimately come to the conclusion that she identified as female when she was 13 her mom supported her whole heartedly.

⚬ all throughout her childhood she’s had a flare for the dramatics. it was no surprise that she took up theatre in the 8th grade.

⚬ did well in school. but she took her theater classes and the drama club very seriously. she participated in all school productions.

⚬ knew micheal since elementary school. over the years they’ve grown apart.
