first tested by ripping the batt out of the controller for the most abrupt driver changes. possibly steam and cue are fighting for priority accessing drivers, idk. I know its a simple, some what pain in the♥♥♥♥♥fix. install steam to a more general use drive(non OS)ģ. after that it would work fine, unless the controller or anything else died or got unplugged. steam freezes with any game launched for roughly 3-5 mins. at the start of it steam and CUE were on the same drive together (not the OS drive). unfortunately i am certain you need multiple hard drives. Soooooooooooo, this has been a huge problem for me. Someone mentioned a Steam engineer but has not provided a channel to me for communication to dig deeper. We will do what we can to investigate this but without seeing it for ourselves, we can't fix it.

Its quite rampant and like I stated in a previous thread, all of these revolved around the same time Steam did an update to how they detect certain controllers (like the Sony Dualshocks).ĬUE may or may not exasperate the problem, but the source of the issue isn't so easily identifiable because most users don't exhibit this issue.

I don't see how you determine its a Corsair problem without a full analysis. Really need Corsair to do something about this. It appears to be causing some sort of USB conflict. One way to remedy this is to unplug the keyboard and it works just fine. This is clearly a Corsair problem and not a Steam problem. I'm having the exact same problem with my new K70 Lux RGB.

I only have a few things written down that I’m not sure how to rebalance, the rest is mostly about touching up certain skills, gear, and constellation to better compete with their similar counterparts. I’m confident Grim Dawn’s current balance can be improved without drastically changing changing the way things work. Don’t lose hope yet, I think having physical damage be reduced by both %resist and flat armor, while the rest are mitigated by just resists, is interesting. As for the disparity between caster and heavy armor, I am considering increasing light armor and caster armor to not be so wide in how much less armor they provide. Tanky armory soldiers that increased their armor absorb and % armor take almost no damage from physical, I find it’s often that the other damage types are what do the most damage. Cannons were ridiculous.Īs for flat armor failing to deliver in GD, I think that’s untrue because EVERY other damage type has a resist, and physical resist is possible as well. It made 2 handers outclass one handers by far in almost every case. Also the whole flat resists thing was pretty bad. )īut a lot of the problems you have mentioned are problems I was worried about and expressed, it was simply not on their agenda to change it, or they felt it was too late to change it.

A lot of the things you mentioned could not be well predicted as I only got a small amount of time in the closed beta before release, and they didn’t try very hard to update the balance of things afterward. None of those were touched upon, instead the biggest overhaul decided to focus on Ȕber-dungeons requiring at least 50% damage resistance which means the flat armor system failed to deliver its defensive layer just like GD and new classes, of which only necromancer looked useful, because there is no “minion spam” class in a non-modded game just like GD. Basically IAS was only applicable to basic attacks, while everything else is a “magic” attack, even if the character visibly shoots from a big fucking gun. My biggest gripes with TL2 were two things: screenwide AoE hits as a main source of death and the imbalance between IAS/FCR skills.

The mods will be balanced together and accordingly and over time mods will be kicked and new ones added. The mods are now “official” so instead of feeling like you’re playing in an unlimited sandbox, one is playing in the restricted world that is so important for an RPG. This encourages those creators to continue to update those mods, and it gives the user base a “common core” to focus on. Then eventually Crate gathers up the best of the best and endorses them, stickies them, even advertises them (through game client). This wouldn’t occur for a while until the community had started finishing its first few mods. I think the developers at Crate should do 1 very simple thing that would greatly increase the longevity of the game through mods.īasically it’s a mod pack - of high quality, compatible mods that Crate has officially gone “Yep these are great mods”. If you got extended items mod with a level cap mod, the game was now broken. If you got a rebalance mod, with a new class mod the game was now broken. Then 99% of the other mods where incomplete and conflicted with each other. They had 1 developer endorsed mod that was really popular - respec potion.

But, maybe, evil cultists who can dismay your party and terrify them? Gigantic larvae who spit poison and spread disease? Ambulatory fish creatures and their squid-like bodyguards? Even powerful, dark denizens of an alternate universe? There will be skeletons and brigands, sure. Turns out there is a certain… variety among the denizens of these hallways and rooms. Sounds simple to the point of boredom, yes? Not so fast.

You accomplish this by moving left to right along a series of hallways, heading from room to room, until you have either completed your objective, failed and been wiped out, or retreated back to the safety of town. The gameplay elements are fairly simple – you select a team of four adventurers from your “stable” of those available, and head into one of the four (later five, up to seven with DLC) dungeons and do your best to accomplish the mission objective. The destroyed abandoned buildings you find upon your arrival can, after weeks worth of time (in-game), be converted into something like a peaceful, border town filled with all the trappings of civilization.īut, always just a few steps away, are the maddening horrors threatening to tear your little realm asunder. The town itself can slowly be turned into a refuge and rehabilitation facility for your slowly deteriorating troops. These are not the usual shining paladins and virtuous stalwarts, though – your mercenary troops may include grave robbers, thieves, half-human abominations, and even students of the dark arts who, like your deceased uncle, are peering into realms best left unviewed by human eyes. Your tools are mainly human ones – mercenaries, drawn to your new home by whispers and rumors of wealth and glory.

It represents the start of what we do and how this can evolve into our future works. It brings us back to emotional melody lines that we missed from 1 st generation K-pop tracks.Īs mentioned before, we feel that our debut EP is a very honest work as an initiation of our career. 'time-leap' is also one of our favourite tracks from dot point jump Vol. We thought those chill tracks of the 1 st generation K-pop groups were worth revisiting, but with a touch of modern sound from recent K-pop and other pop tracks. 'savanna' reminds us of the mid to late '90s when H.O.T and Deux other 1 st generation K-pop Idols gave this sense of chill vibes and trendy atmosphere through some of their tracks. 1 is our very first work with Jaden so we tried to focus more on what our impression of K-pop that we adored and grew up with. Tell us about your debut EP dot point jump Vol. Our most recent collaboration with the producer GRAY from AOMG was an eye-opening experience for us in that sense, and hopefully, this can be a gateway to more collaboration opportunities with non-idol musicians and producers in Korea. Thus, we aspire to interact with them through our albums and singles that we release. We sincerely hope this global support from K-pop fans can also be a great opportunity to shed light on many great non-idol musicians in Korea who deserves global recognition. We think the insane competition in the K-pop scene is a very good opportunity for us. In light of the competition in the K-pop scene with new groups debuting fairly often, how different is OnlyOneOf from other rookie groups? We do this very casually and of course, we are seeing some progress on what we have achieved from this process and hopefully, we can release some of these tracks in the near future. Yoojung orchestrates and puts everything together by collecting choreography inputs from Junji and Mill. After finding a common ground in their ideas, they share their sketches with Love and Rie, who will brainstorm top lines and potential melodies to add to the tracks. You will be able to manage your home server, but if you want to do more serious work, you’ll need to really understand how TCP/IP works, and after that, read a lot about the details of routing and packet filtering in Linux. Having said that, a warning to the newcomers to netfilter: there’s no tool that will magically allow you to write non-trivial rule-sets if you don’t understand the underlying stuff. Thanks to this, I was able to write very complicated rule-sets, which were still readable to the point that the more junior SysAdmins, with little exprience on netfilter, have no difficult modifying it to open up ports or creating a new NAT rule. To me, being able to write your rules in clean structures, with blocks, variables and ‘functions’ is, by far, the most important feature of ferm. Being a SysAdmin, I’ve been using netfilter/iptables for many years, after migrating away from ipchains and the day I’ve found ferm my work changed completely. Update, editor’s note: I’d like to add to this article my personal experience with ferm. To top it off, ferm seems to be under active development with bugs being squashed and features being added relatively regularly.įerm has been available in Debian since Etch and in Ubuntu since Dapper. It uses a reasonably powerful configuration language (including support for variables, function definitions, and arrays) which facilitates addressing more complex situations than the one I faced. However, ferm can also be used to put together more complex firewall rulesets. The bottom line is that, for simple rulesets, using ferm is definitely easier than preparing iptables rules by hand. A few tweaks of the default system configuration file -primarily opening a few ports-:Ī simple /etc/init.d/ferm restart and things were running smoothly. In contrast, ferm gave me no such problems. In my experience, preparing a firehol configuration file which didn’t trigger multiple errors from firehol/iptables did not prove to be straightforward. Unfortunately, I found that firehol ended up being a time-consumer. Other front-ends (e.g., shorewall and firewall builder) appear to be designed for complex rule-sets and require a substantial investment of effort to learn the syntax of configuration files or a ‘rule-making language’.Īlong with ferm, another front-end, firehol seemed to also hit the mark with respect to having a straightforward syntax. My main concern wasn’t with whether the application had a GUI or console interface but was with whether the application facilitated straightforward configuration of an iptables ruleset (translation: it shouldn’t take 20 min of reading documentation to get a simple firewall up). This may be a desirable feature for running on a box with limited disk space as GUI interfaces generally require the presence of X windows-related packages, often along with several KDE- or Gnome-related packages. Rather than using a GUI interface (e.g., firestarter, gnome lokkit, guarddog, kmyfirewall, knetfilter, …), ferm is configured via a text configuration file and can be controlled in a straightforward manner from the console. Even better, ferm has a ‘try-before-you-buy’ feature (shared with a few other packages such as firehol): ferm -interactive activates a specific ruleset and, if a user response isn’t given within 30 sec, the system reverts to the previous ruleset. Ferm starts with a default configuration which leaves the default SSH port open. Like several other firewall front-ends, ferm is aware of the issues associated with working on servers hundreds of miles away from one’s physical location. After firestarter crashed again with a memory error, I decided to move on… Otherwise I would have been hundreds of miles away from an inaccessible server. Fortunately, I had altered the firestarter rule set and opened port 22 before firestarter segfaulted. It turns out that there was one: ferm.Ī revisit to firestarter, a straightforward GUI interface, ended when firestarter segfaulted and then, when started again, automatically started its firewall. Rather than wading through a bunch of iptables commands, it seemed time to revisit the world of iptables front-ends on the off-chance there was an undiscovered treasure I’d missed on earlier visits. The culprit was a misconfigured firewall. Grumble… a postgresql server on an old Sun workstation isn’t visible to another old Sun workstation which (in theory…) is storing data on the postgresql server.

I’m fairly certain the default mount has more stamina as well, although I may be mistaken. I like the aesthetic changes that Norse Lands brings to the table, even if they aren’t as overt as, say, Dead Lands. As you must have already expected, the boat becomes a longboat, complete with shields on the side. Obviously, this isn’t the only biome to have this, but it makes sense, considering. Similarly, instead of finding a stone mine on the second island to build better structures, you put together a logging camp. Your headquarters starts as a flimsy tent and becomes a longhouse in short order. Instead of the walls from the base campaign, sharp pieces of wood are left to fend off attackers. Shortly after beginning a Norse Lands campaign, I noticed the more rustic, jagged characteristics of the architecture. As such, this DLC is specifically meant for fans that want to keep playing a game they love with a slightly different coat of paint. In this case, it’s represented in the architecture, mounts, and overall aesthetic. In case it isn’t already painfully obvious, Norse Lands is inspired by the Norsemen and their myths. But, the question stands: is Kingdom Two Crowns: Norse Lands worth it? At the very least, the price helps with that. It costs $6.99 USD and is mostly comparable to the previous two, so it’s more of a “support the devs” DLC. However, don’t go thinking this is some major, transformative DLC. Now, fans have a whole new biome to dig into, as Norse Lands joins the rest of the campaigns.

Bonus tip: When you find a chunk to use, make note of the northwest and southeast corner coordinates and make sure to use those as a guide to keep from accidentally digging out a neighboring chunk instead. The 'Save Map' button allows you to save the currently shown map as png image file. The slime chunk algorithm was added early on (verified in beta 1.301) and is still calculated the same in the latest versions. You can always remove and add the marker by double clicking on the map.
