Fantastic Four was amazing. Marvel is back on track. Although, honestly the content hasn't been bad. I maintain my opinion that people started wanting the stakes too high. I also think people just want ensemble movies over the individual character story. Im sorry, but thats an unreasonable request. The stakes cannot be world shattering every single time. You have to allow just saving a city. The whole point of superheros is they can save the day. This Fantastic Four is the exception not the rule. They are an ensemble and save their entire world all the time. Understand it can't be every hero story.

My megalophobia hasn't been triggered like that since Eternals. I only get triggered by large bodies of water and extremely big statues/ beings

The cheesecake turned out magnificent. Next week I'm back on the grind with my fitness. Im going to take progress photos. For 6 months I'll show month by month to keep me motivated. Im keeping this goal. Its a promise to myself. In 6 months, I'll do a photo dump without my face of my progress. I do have a goal weight, but im gonna focus on how i feel and visually look.

Cheesecake photo below as promised too. I didn't forget I just was recovering for two days. I devoured my wingstop. Parm wings w/ ranch and a lemon pepper fry.

Those are candles leftover from my birthday one year. Its funny because I haven't had a birthday cake in like a decade. It just hasn't worked out for me to have one I guess. It would be nice, maybe next year someone will want to. Kinda makes me feel bad if i have to make it myself. That's probably why I haven't had one in a while. I remember buying those pink candles and wanting a strawberry cake. It didnt happen. But its lucky we had the candles for Senior to blow out. We were so busy we forgot to buy him candles. Everything works out, even in unexpected ways. I hope he enjoyed his cheesecake as much as me. It was so delicious.

I really hope I made him feel special on his day. Thats what I want for everyone. If its your birthday or you are a Leo, Happy Early or Belated Birthday. I hope you feel special and have a joyous day. 🩷

We went to Frontier City. My baby boy rode a roller-coaster for the first time!

Senior turned 33 today. I made him a cheesecake with an oreo crust as promised. Its in the fridge we haven't cut into it. I will post a picture when we do. We picked up wingstop on the way home. It was very busy because of free wing day. Thats every chicken spot (maybe just chain restaurants). Its 5 wings free with your order.

I actually probably have heat exhaustion. Im nauseous and I have this headache. I have this unquenchable thirst. I took some electrolytes. Im drinking water slowly. Its helping a little. I almost vomited when i tried to eat so im just going to continue to hydrate.

It was a lovely day despite me being sick here at the end.

So dynamite comics released issue #2 of Captain Planet today. No metal variant, im disappointed. I knew that 3 issues was a tall order but this doesn't change the facts. Fact #1 we are behind an issue. Fact #2 there was no variant metal cover.

Im disappointed. I really wanted all of my Captain Planet comics to have the metal cover. I am happy that at least they released issue #2. I would like to know why its an issue behind. Is it the distribution process thats holding it up? Will there be any metal covers going forward for Captain Planet?

Im excited to be reading it. Both covers are cool. Im really hoping there will be no more delays on the other issues. The most important thing is that we get to read issue #2 today.

Black American musings #3

There is definitely an attack on Black Americans. Im sick of the erasures and nonsensical comparisons. Not one racial group has been treated as inhumane as us. We are constantly getting attacked even by people that look like us. Our civil rights leaders are being white washed or slandered. There is a sickness that lives inside so many. The thought of Black Americans makes the demons show up. Its weird and im sick of the shit. At this point we have to be the most powerful people on the planet. No other group has a racial slur in every country, but these same people stealing our culture. Even in Africa they have a slur for us. The hate is insane and its consuming alot of yall. My people have to be chosen. If we werent special then everybody wouldnt spend every waking moment trying to claim our culture as there's. Really we wanna be left the fuck alone. Like leave my people alone. We really don't even think about other groups like that.

The hate is so forced and its so fucking weird. Literally someone will be talking about immigrants then bring up Black Americans. We aren't fuckin immigrants. There are Black immigrants here in the U.S, but they are not the majority. We were brought here against our will. They ate us, raped us, enslaved us, tortured us and never treated us well. Its so many books on the subject. Read up on this and understand. Now every other group thinks they are better than us. Fine if thats how you feel, but leave us alone. Stop bringing us up. Our plight will never be like any other groups plight. Yall dont want us to play the oppression Olympics because literally no group has had it harder. For America to grow they have to address the original sins. The enslavement of my people that gave U.S its power. Until yall do right by us, everything you even think about is gonna crumble.

Its frustrating because I'd like more genres than horror. Horror is the only genre in movies that actually looks interesting right now. We need more original content across genres. I miss Rom-Coms! It makes me sick. Im a hopeless romantic depending solely on Superhero movies for my fix.

Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness is such a heartbreaking obsession of mine. I rewatch the scene where he tells Christine he loves her in every universe. That shit makes my knees buckle. I love and need more of that shit. But idk where the blockbuster Rom-Coms staring Millennials are.... please bring Rom-Com back.

Autism chat from a mama.

My son is diagnosed as level 2 autism. Officially he was said to be non-verbal. His speech actually has improved so much. He starting to ask for things in complete sentences. He's been trying to make conversation about his current interest. Junior is alright and I continue to be hopeful for a bright future. My big preteen is the love of my life. Its so many hopes and dreams I had for him when he was born. I learned that I had to shift away from expectations and just love him.

I remember at 2 years old them telling us his speech is profoundly delayed. Back then he seemed fine. My little brother didnt talk until he was 4. By the time Joshua turned 4 we got him into services. I wish I would've started those services for him sooner. If you know anyone out there with a child with moderate or profound autism, tell them its gonna be ok. If they're having a rought day, remind them that they are doing their best. If thats you, you're doing the best you can everyday. We don't have the science to know why these things happen. I know personally that my son is such a shining light in my life. I always wanted to be a mama. He made that dream come true. My life is complete when I am able to see him grow. I feel even better when he gives me hugs. Thats all I need to keep going is that kinda rare hug from my preteen.

Being his mama is one of the best things about me. Its not all that I am, but its a big part. His existence is enough for me to keep goin'.
