January study challenge // 11.01.2021 // how do you keep yourself focused? // i try to establish a routine so i have determined times to study and times to rest. whenever i'm feeling sluggish i either make myself some tea or i go for a walk, read some pages in a book, watch a short video on YouTube and after that: back to work. atm i use forest a lot because i like seeing how much i studied, this visual representation motivates me. and knowing that i have some fun activities planned for the evenings usually gets me through the days.

Hi everyone:) happy new year! I’m back to school, and have been for a week now, but today is the first day that I gather the energy to start studying outside of class and take notes, hence the picture lol As you can see I’ll be trying to go fully digital again. I tried it during my first semester in engineering 2 years ago and let’s just say it didn’t go as expected because I wasn’t trying for school and got distracted so much lol So during my second year I did hybrid and started doing my practice questions & assignments on the ipad but the notes by hand and found that extremely effective but spent every little bit of free time at school doing notes and going over the textbook:( now in third year I started half of the year trying to do the hybrid again but all of my classes have been extremely theoretical and i just couldn’t keep up reading the TB and writing notes by hand soooooo for this second semester I’ll be giving digital a chance again :) that way I can type the classes that don’t have as much equations and just handwrite the ones that do and use the pictures straight from the book. Hopefully this rant wasn’t too long and it served to remind you that you can try new things and you should, you never know, there might be something better out there:) anyways I shall update how everything goes, and you should expect more ipad pics! Thanks for coming to my TED talk lol

Now the real deal, if anyone cares: I’m in my second semester for third year of chemical engineering and I’ll be taking 4 courses (process dynamics & control, chemical kinetics, separation processes and process development) I’ll also be taking an option course that i’m extremely scared for since it’s all about greek mythology and writing essays wasn’t necessarily my forte in high school but my faculty forces us to take things out of our major and hey why not lol Feel free to message me if you think any of my notes might be helpful for you, have a great day!

I’ve survived midterm week! It was pretty rough, all of last week I kept waking up at 6 and studying all the way to 9-10 pm, including attending most of my lectures😩 which im pretty proud of as i usually just skip once we have exams😂 anyways, now that midterms are done, I’m on reading break for a full week🤩! And will be using this time to catch up on everything! First, I’ll finish the notes for phase equilibria on thermodynamics so I can hand in my assignment due tomorrow, then from there I’ll make a plan on all the lectures I’d like to get done during the week as well as how/when I’ll be starting the project for my PDEs class. Have a great sunday! And hopefully an even better week, don’t forget to rest and know that what you have done is enough! Don’t push it! Take care of yourself😇
