hey!! so i'm pretty new to fickin and i just wanted to ask, what are systems and fictives? i've never really gotten a solid answer out of anybody because they think i'm stupid sbsbsb

Okay I can’t tag this but I’m gonna try to be active again hhhhh

So a system is basically like… Multiple souls sharing a body, kinda. Idk how to explain it all too well, but they can happen through trauma and are most common in people with DID. However, multiplicity (which is another way of saying something like a system, though hopefully without offending anyone ahaaa…) in and of itself does not have to be formed through trauma. For example, I’m a soulbonder, meaning I have spirits of characters living with me that formed without any major trauma on my end. They just kinda… Happened lmao

Fictives are headmates of a typical system that ID as/are fictional characters. Generally, this is used for situations where a DID-type system is formed via trauma. I, for example, don’t refer to my anime ghosts as “headmates” or “fictives” as it works a bit differently with soulbonding, mine are just. Soulbonds. Typically, the term “fictive” is reserved for people in the system other than the “original”, which is the first sentient being in the body.

In the source a minor character became main like a few months ago and they were friends with me, another minor character who's becoming a bit more important, but I've only found one person kin with them. And guess what? They a) have a memory page that! shares details with my canon!!!! and b) they're a double of a different kintype and they don't want to interact with doubles 4 that kintype. ;-; I'm going to respect them and not say anything unless they want to talk to me, but still ;-; why

I'm going to hug everyone who went through a zombie apocalypse of any form because I'm silently remembering a few things from my own canon and how much going blind during it is just. Painful. I don't even remember how I went blind like was it a normal infected? special infected? Tank? Hunter?? the military?? i can't remember!! This is really distressing!!

I just want to make a formal apology for not being around for a while, I was  on a week-and-a-half vacation and I can’t tag asks on mobile, so I decided to wait on answering anything. Then when I got back I had to work a lot so it kinda got put off until now - but I’ve answered all the asks that had been sitting in the askbox now, so don’t worry about that! i have "friends" that always make anti-kin jokes and have said they're kins with characters as jokes and tbh i hate it but i cant say much about it cause i dont want to be hated too

Honestly, they don’t seem like super great friends for you if that’s happening, but I can understand not wanting to leave a bunch of friends. I suggest making a bunch of friends that are also ‘kin who wouldn’t mind you ranting to them about what your antikin friends say/do. I’m always here to listen if you need to vent or rant!
