okay i'm so curious what do you think abt the oisin-ivy dynamic bc they Were introduced as a unit but also. he's (he seems) so like nice and reasonable and ivy is very....... teen girl mean

LOVE THIS QUESTION like exactly they're so unlikely besties at first glance.... i would love for them to be childhood friends like they just know each other sooo well despite being super different. i also think they're the kind of bi bffs who are super close but gag at the thought of dating each other

but i also think ivy's teen girl meanness is part of how the rage manifested in her... been listening to the song people i don't like a lot and it's so ivy to me. i think she's always been a little judgmental but now she's super bitter and mean about it and hides it in the passive aggressive teen girl way. obsessed with her

and yeah i think oisin seems normal but the whole "he got buff over the summer" line implies he's channeling his rage into physical endeavours and that's super fun to me. his nerd to jock pipeline i love him <3 i think both ivy and oisin get way more popular this year because of their rage god isms and i love that that's kind of fucked up

this is so fun.... i think ruby dying would've been deeply fucked up for jet but i also think jet would've handled it slightly better than ruby handled jet's death. but im also saying this because a world where siobhan came back as her revenant rococoa back-up would've been CRAZY. like i've theorised about this on twitter before but there's no way she'd tell amethar it was her until she absolutely had to; he's already lost her once he can't lose her again and she's a ghost of her former self. she's not rococoa anymore, not really.

ALSO im imagining ruby dies in place of jet, but i've also rotated a scenario in my head where ruby dies and siobhan comes back as rococoa before calroy's betrayal is revealed..... im imagininga juicy scenario about how she would immediately go to kill calroy, but amethar defends him, his sister's murderer, to his sister, without realising. oh it's so fucked up and fun to me

i also think liam should've died in the cathedral SORRY WHO SAID THAT and this IS because it'd be tragic to have lost the oldest and the youngest in that fight but also because ally playing amanda maillard would've been so fucking incredible. like to have someone else on caramelinda's side at the end there..... oh it would've been so juicy. caramelinda is my favourite character in almost all of d20 i literally would've given anything to see her softer side with amanda. oh my god i need that time quangle episode out NOWWWWWW

i dont think amethar should die ever.... and you'd think i'm being nice for once but in reality i love the twisted double meaning of "the unfallen" title. if the finale had been a PvP at the end, amethar is the last one standing for sure. a world where he's the only one left amongst his loved ones would be so unbelievably fucked up. amethar wants to die; he wanted to in the cathedral; he thinks death is atonement for his mistakes. and i don't think we should let him!!! sorry for loving pain and misery

HJBFESJBFEKSFS THIS IS SO FUNNY OFC ok this is going to be a range of thoughts about the reactions i've seen from both ends of the rat grinder Discourse™

i think it's fine to be like, yeah, what kipperlilly's anger stems from is like deeply unsympathetic and comes from a very privileged status. i think being like "no that's normal for a teen girl" is silly. she is very much not normal she's a little upper-middle class brat and i love her. i love that she's so deeply distasteful and unappealing to people LOL. hate when female characters have to be smoothed down to be liked! like we don't have to downplay her negative traits when people are obsessed with male serial killers all the time etc etc

BUT i also think people forget that like... the bad kids were reading private thoughts she shared with her therapist (which is a massive invasion of privacy)! like of course it was fucked up. that's why she was going to a therapist lmao!!! it stresses me out that people are this vitriolic about a teen character who is pretty explicitly mentally ill and trying to get better about it but is being manipulated by a deity of rage and possibly her adult vice principal like. you don't have to LIKE her but calling for her to be violently murdered is wild to me. the bad kids had never even HEARD of her before this season and you can metagame about brennan not having invented her character yet all you want but in canon u gotta assume she was successfully keeping that rage down until she got got and is now being actively corrupted by a powerful rage deity lmaoooo

and like! she got her narrative punishment!! the monkey's paw curled and she lost her best friend she's got her traumatic backstory now!!! she's already suffering and at her lowest i don't need her to die (again!)

i think brennan is past the point of making teen characters irredeemable so i can only hope that the cast follows through on that bc i feel like redemption and healing from trauma is one of the strongest themes in fantasy high like i bawled my eyes out in every aelwyn and adaine scene. which is why it's really funny to me that siobhan is kipperlilly's biggest hater because i feel like she's a great mirror to adaine's spite and aelwyn's redemption..... like siobhan's characters are all very appealing to me because of their rage. god im hoping and praying they don't kill the rat grinders in the finale god bless

oh final petty thing i think saying kipperlilly's name wrong was only funny the first 200 times <3 love u all mwa

kipperlilly runs that shit like the military but ruben still finds ways to slack off <3 ivy also slacks off but she wouldn't be best friends with oisin if he didn't trust that she'd stay up late doing her part at the last possible minute

kipperlilly and oisin are the talkers. they cannot let mary ann talk and she's ok with that (they all have to edit her paragraphs to be more engaging but she makes the best spreadsheets). i think they also reluctantly let buddy talk because he's got the crazy preacher background and really does get the class engaged but they've banned him from referencing helio at any point after their first presentation ended in prayer circle

im imagining this as a time quangle situation where TRG get dumped in calorum and yeah i think kipperlilly and perhaps ivy would get accustomed to the political situation the fastest. and yeah i think kipperlilly and plumbeline have the exact kind of "this is unfair" type motivation, except for plumbeline i suspect it stems more from pride and ego than pure anger. i think a lot about how she had already lost a joust to theo but still went out to fight in the finale, and i firmly believe that amethar having the gall to offer her a place on the council she SHOULD ALREADY have been part of is what makes her accept belizabeth's deal before the cathedral fight. like ooooh her ego is huge

i do think that as a barbarian she's maybe compartmentalised that rage into when she's raging only. which i don't think we've fully seen yet in combat so im VERY excited for the eventual TRG vs TBK fight

I WISH I DID but my sandwich cravings change from day to day. there's this cafe that does a really good salami rocket dried tomato sandwich that i'm craving rn now that you've asked but i also am a big fan of onion rings in a sandwich. also me and my gf tried that grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup combo with fancy cocktail onions and stuff once and it was sooooooo good big recommend

ALSO what are your thoughts on kipperlily and lucy and the idea of lucy being the one RG to refuse coming back and ALL of. that knot of Newly Unearthed Facts. bc i canNOT stop thinking about the Implications and Facets. TM

OKAY SO. my running theory is that everyone BUT LUCY dies in the mountains of chaos (perhaps her ancestral connection to ruvina saves her, perhaps her friends just know you always protect the healer). either way the rest of them all come back worshipping ankarna, and try to convince lucy to join them, which lucy agrees with but then changes her mind! which is why she hands in but then withdraws her cleric paperwork. and so Someone kills her to force her hand and make her choose.

and at first i was like, oh, this Someone is jace, because yolanda died in the same place and she was going to see him to ask about lucy. bad news for my sympathetic jace theory! but then i reread the transcripts and remembered that brennan specifies that the means of death for lucy was Multiple Assailants, while yolanda's was the same force damage as the crime scene at loam farm. which fucking implies that the rat grinders did actually kill lucy and now i can't stop thinking about it.

like, when lucy said no, were they driven into a rage? did they kill her convinced that she would make the same choice they did? at what point did they realise she wasn't coming back? did lucy reject ankarna because she saw how the rage had twisted her friends and she knew she couldn't join them? when did the "what have we done?" revelation hit, and who was the last to leave the body? (im answering that one it was kipperlilly. to me <3)

anyway yeah i have been plagued by this theory and idk if it's true or not but i've been rotating it in my mind bc it's very fun and miserable

like brennan could yet prove me wrong but when they read kipperlilly's file he says that she talks about how much she loves her adventuring party. all of them, not just lucy! and people take ruben's voting against her too seriously imo when like the bad kids do stuff for the bit all the time. they were just teasing fabian about his younger siblings and cheering on gertie to kick his ass! half of them are obsessed with mary ann and half of them can't stand her like! they're teens being teens!

and i have a bigger theory that i have been unable to stop thinking about but i'm gonna save that for ur second ask heheh
