Recent developments involving this post have led me back into headcanon territory (again)... and I'm honestly happy about it, lol!

Everyone... I'd like you to say hello to King Crisanto (aka: Daisy's dad)!

Ngl... I love him! (Of course I do... not from any personal bias or anything... nope nope nope).

I've talked about Daisy's dad in previous posts (and drew a horrible first draft of him that is... let's forget about it), but I thought I'd share a little more about him. And since a lot of y'all REALLY liked him, hey! Even better! 😁 (@peaches2217 and @bberetd... I hope you like this one; you guys inspired this, lol. And @silenzahra, there's a certain part of this I think you'll enjoy, too! 🤭)

So now, I present to you, all the headcanons I have of him (so far). I won't get into his backstory in-depth just yet, so this is just him as a dude, lol:

Crisanto (or just Cris) wasn't born into royalty or luxury. In actuality, he was born in Toastarena Town. He married into Daisy's... egg donor family... at the age of 13 under royal decree. He was hesitant to really commit to something like this, as were his parents, but he ultimately decided to go for it, for his family's sake.

While married, he had Daisy when he was 15 (he's currently 37). Despite the awkward age gap, he managed to develop a strong bond that they still share to this very day (albeit a bit differently due to distance).

On that note, Cris is quite close to the four kings of Sarasaland, being part of the province of his previous kingdom rule. They were the ones who helped raise Daisy, and also gave him a proper break from his kingly duties. To this day, they all still remain close... and he couldn't be happier.

As Daisy was growing up, when he wasn't doting on her like a good father should, he was off protecting his kingdom. He may look like a marshmallow (and has the personality of one to boot), but rest assured, he could snap you in half if he wanted to.

Speaking of personality! Cris is the living embodiment of the strong silent type. Overall, he's relatively calm and collected, preferring to mostly listen, rather than talk. He may have the muscle to show strength, but his actual power is in his words (... the very few he speaks, at least). He prefers a more diplomatic approach than outward violence. HOWEVER... there has been one instance where his mask slipped that he refuses to speak of. From what little is told, it involved Daisy... and that scar on his left eye.

Growing up, Daisy very much preferred spending time with him. One of their favorite past times was practicing her combat skills (in her words, it made her feel closer to him). He never outwardly said it, but Daisy knew he was (and still is) immensely proud of her.

Another one of their favorites was during the long nights where there weren't any clouds in the sky. Cris would take baby Daisy onto the balcony and watch them while he cradled her (yes, even when she was an actual baby up until she was about ten). Because of this, the one thing that Daisy finds soothing, even now, is just watching the stars to fall asleep.

Cris gives the BEST hugs you can imagine. He is, indeed, very huggable, and he loves giving them, especially when it involves his Daisy!

Growing up in Toastarena Town (which, I believe is heavily Spanish-speaking... you cannot convince me otherwise), his mother language is Spanish. He can speak English pretty well, but he often gets words confused, thus preferring to listen a majority of the time.

Cris is fully aware that Daisy is nonbinary, polyamorous, and pansexual. He doesn't quite understand it, but he's supportive through and through. Plus... he has a certain someone he can turn to 😉...

Cris is married to lovely individual, whom he loves with all his heart. After a marriage that was... less than ideal, he's happy to have found someone he truly loves (and someone who loves him back). He's still coming to terms with his feelings for them, but he's adjusting quite nicely. 💖

When Luigi first met Cris, he was TERRIFIED the man would hate him (usual in-law things)... but Cris actually thinks of Luigi as his own son! Even now, whenever Cris pays a visit, Luigi's a sweating, shivering, stuttering mess, and Cris is like, "Oh, hey Luigi! Long time no see! 😁"

On that same note, he's gotten along well with Peasley fairly well. Both being royals, he enjoys having tea with the prince and listening to his great battles of woe. Peasley has tried a couple times to inquire what his battles were, but he never quite answers it, preferring to hear Peasley talk.
