I'm going to try to write a little something about this...this amazing piece of art. A song? Yes. Performance art? Oh, yeah. Powerful experience? Fuckin' A. This is one of the single most powerful video/songs I've encountered in...I don't know. Years. I listen to a lot of great music. I make a habit of seeking it out. Diving headfirst into the YouTube rabbit hole. But this performance? One of the single most real and impactful pieces of art I've ever encountered. This guy was channeling pure art. Nothing short of amazing. Seriously.

Here's the Sim I created in response to the Sim Challenge from #wildmelon Max Star is a Spellcaster, as per the game rules. I kinda' wish the shirt was more red but I liked the style so I stuck with it. He's all tatted up, too, although this shot doesn't show it much. I couldn't find a pose on short notice that suited my fancy just right, couldn't find the right facial expression, but I'll dig around and see what I can come up with a do another post later. Here's a screenshot from CAS mode. Thanks to #wildmelon for the challenge. It was fun. He turned out pretty well so I integrated him into one of my existing households in Willow Creek. He's an aspiring author, loves science, wicked smart, and a genuinely good guy. Very confident, too. He is an active Sim, straight, and not much into commitment but definitely into hot chicks, especially redheads and dark haired goth types. As a side hobby, he sings and plays guitar.

Here's the breakdown from the actual challenge: Spellcaster because I was born in November

Medium length hair because I'm an Ambivert (50/50 introvert/extrovert)

Brown hair color because blueberries are my favorite fruit

Red clothing because my favorite pets are dogs

My favorite season is summer so my dude has gray eyes

This is a gif that arrived in my stream that I feel is a look into the magical world hiding behind the news, the stock market, the politics, and all the other garbage that our society thinks is important. If we placed importance on watching nature and enjoying the magic there is to be found there, the world would be a better place.

Nynaeve of the Twin Rivers is a stupid bitch.

This isn't important or anything. Nothing significant happening here. But it's something I really want to say. So here it is. I'm reading the Wheel of Time books by Robert Jordan (and the last couple by Brandon Sanderson). The Nynaeve character. Holy shit how much I hate her. She is supposed to be wise, I mean, she's actually got the title 'Wisdom' in her original town, Twin Rivers. Here's the truth. She's an ignorant, selfish, super sexist man hater. She hates Moraine Sedai for taking Rand, Matt, and Perrin away from their home...but she also had to do it to save their lives and the lives of every person in the town who didn't want to be murdered and eaten by Trollocs. Moraine Sedai and her supercool warder, Lan, literally saved the entire town from being destroyed. But does the 'wise' Nynaeve see it that way? No. That ignorant bitch is too busy fabricating her own false reality that suits her 'I hate all men and all Aes Sedai are evil even though I'm studying to be an Aes Sedai' narrative.

She hates every male character, even the ones she likes, because she is so rooted in her ignorant sexist beliefs that she can't even see reality any longer. But she still thinks she's wise. Sexist Cunt.

Holy shit how I hate that character. Alright. End rant. Thanks :)

The Freedom

It is my belief that this existence is a temporary manifestation of our imaginations. Our true selves are pure energy, boundless and limitless. We manifest as finite beings as a way of knowing what it is like to live as such. But these lives are just a manifestation. Our true selves have no limitations. Our true selves exist in a state of True Freedom.

Images like this are one of the reasons I believe there is something beyond this life. Outer space is incomprehensibly beautiful and truly awe inspiring. It's the closest thing to god I can possibly imagine. I don't believe in God but I believe that something created outer space and that's enough for me to have hope. When I die, I will know true Freedom. In the meanwhile, I'll do my best to be a decent human being.
