✅How to Practice Best Gym Etiquette✅
Tis the season for new fitness goals and crowded gyms. New Years is the biggest, busiest time for the Health and Fitness industry. Your gym of choice will see a large increase of occupants for the next three months (Q1 in business terms). With the new variant of Covid, finding a machine is going to be a workout within itself. Here are six best practices to ensure you can still get a productive workout in safely.
1️⃣ rack your weights.
~ When you are done using the dumbbells and plates, return them to the place you got them. This will notify others you’re done and make it easier to move about the gym.
2️⃣ sanitize the machines / mats you use.
~ This is highly effective at stopping Covid. Sanitization can happen every fifteen minutes rather than every fifteen hours.
3️⃣ minimize locker room time.
~ Keep showers quick and self prep to a minimum. Clean up the hair you shed in the shower or at the sink.
4️⃣ mind your space.
~ When taking group classes, position accordingly to allow space for maximum occupancy. In the sauna, close your legs fellas.
5️⃣ “three farts rule.”
~ Letting one slip is normal, even two. Take the third one to the bathroom. Nobody wants to be crop-dusted mid set.
6️⃣ take it outside.
~ Find a local park to perform calisthenics and high intensity interval training (HIIT). Some parks even have outdoor exercise equipment. Now would be the best time to try something new like this.
If everyone adopted at least one of the practices above, everyone will make the gains they expect these next three months. ‼️🍾Happy New Years🍾‼️
