So, Kingdom has a main character?

I don’t know about y’all, but I didn’t think there was a main character. I know each king has their own album because it’s the History of Kingdom and they all have backstories, but I just thought that the story would focus on whichever king is important at that time

(Also, I’m so sorry I don’t have a source for this picture; I found it on the announcements of a kingdom discord server and chose to believe it. Even if it isn’t credible, it’s still interesting to think about ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

But if there is a main character, who would it be?

I think the obvious choice would be either Arthur or Dann

Arthur

His album was what started it all. Also, his King is arguably the most well known out of the characters, so it seems clear that he would be the main character. Additionally, in the article the words are “a king who wants to awaken as a true king” and Arthur is seen at the start of his music video awakening.

Dann

He is another clear choice because he is based off of a Korean emperor and they are a Kpop group…. Dann also seemed to have special treatment during his era due to national pride (he is the only king with two (2) music videos and two (2) bsides promoted as opposed to one meaning he also got two (2) choreography videos in his era). Plus, he is the King of Change and protagonists are always trying to change something in the story.

Louis

Weird choice, but I wanted to include him because a few people on Twitter were speculating him. This is because of his whole “but I always exist” immortal thing, you know, the fact that he has never died and has lived one life throughout the course of the story. That’s pretty good main character material. There’s also the fact that the excerpt of the article states, “six kings from different timelines” are to help the “true king” and since Louis has been shown with time controlling powers him being the true king would make sense. Personally, I don’t think it’s him, though.

Jahan

Last, but definitely not least, Jahan! I’m not sure if anyone’s said him, but I would like to include him. So he was supposed to be the last king to have a backstory album (I don’t know if that remains true with Hwon now in the group), so I definitely think he has to be important in some way. So, why not as the main character? Main characters are almost always overpowered and I think that could possibly be the case with Jahan.

Think about it, the lyrics in all of their title tracks and even a few of their bsides are about fire and burning. I think the act or idea of burning will essential to the story in a positive way and who better to burn than the King of the Kingdom of Sun? (If this feels hastily explained it’s because I already spoke about burning in a different theory post).

In Conclusion,

These are the only kings who I can think of that would be main character worthy. Ivan and Hwon feel like they’re obviously evil and I don’t know enough about Mujin to make a judgment, yet.

My bets are on Arthur, though

Hey, so it’s been a full day since we heard the news about Chiwoo’s departure and I am devastated.

It just sucks that after only a year Chiwoo decides to terminate his contract. It especially sucks because Kingdom is trying to tell a story. So, either GF will have to change a lot of things just to accommodate his leaving, or add a new member that takes Chiwoo’s place. Honestly, I’m not a fan of either. It hurts that he’s leaving and we get no explanation as to why and that not even any of the members are talking about it. Everything is just continuing on as normal, like nothing has happened.

Even so, I wish the best for Chiwoo. I don’t know what happened to make him want to leave because he seemed like he was enjoying himself, but I guess you can’t take everything at surface level. I hope I’ll see Chiwoo again be it in Kingdom, in a different group, or doing solo projects. If leaving was the best course of action for him, then I wish him the best for the rest of his life!
