Bringing this master class of a post back just in time for pride.
can i ask why june is bad or is the whole thing with june behind something problematic?
I just think it doesn't fit with the story. And it doesn't really add more to John as a character. So he's trans, so what? That doesn't stop from the fact he was depressed and most of his friends are assholes. Not like him being trans is gonna make things better. And if people bring up his depression was from the gender identity, it wasn't the case when we had spent years reading his journey from his 13th birthday of wanting to play a game with his friends and crazy shit happened. I also like John as he is and just want him to be happy. I want all the characters to be happy. Sadly, Homestuck is not about happiness. Not in the base webcomic, the spin-offs, sequels, or even Homestuck Beyond Canon. It's all about the nihilism approach that no matter what a character does to improve, the story can only move forward if they are the absolute worst.

I really like this russian edition of classic books. Letting famous artists do the covers in YA style was such a simple but clever decision. According to the recent study the number of teenage readers increased, possibly thanks to these covers. I own traditional classics with blank covers but if I ever see one of these in the wild, it’ll probably make me go feral.
Here are some of my favs:

Dracula (art by Renibet)

2.Jane Eyre (art by Ulunii)

3. Little women (art by чаки чаки)

4. The Idiot (the hedgehog-omg-) (art by Xinshi)

5. Pride and Prejudice (art by Cactusute)

6. War and Peace (art by Xinshi)

7. Wuthering Heights (art by Renibet)

8. The Great Gatsby (art by NIKEL)

9. Frankenstein (art by Iren Horrors)

10. Crime and Punishment (art by REDwood)

11. Anna Karenina (art by Ulunii)

12. The Cherry Orchard (art by lewisite)

13. The Master and Margarita (art by Renibet)

i like working at plant store. sometimes you ring up someone and there's a slug on their plant and so you're like "Oh haha you've got a friend there let me get that for you" and you put the slug on your hand for safekeeping but then its really busy and you dont have time to take the slug outside before the next customer in line so you just have a slug chilling on your hand for 15 minutes. really makes you feel at peace with nature. also it means sometimes i get to say my favorite line which is "would you like this free slug with your purchase"

in order to hate something professionally, you have to know a lot about it, so i feel like you probably can sum up davekats history throughout homestucks ENTIRE run better than any davekat stan. care to try?
Since Tumblr character text is a bitch, I had to do this instead.
And thus, people ship Davekat despite all the crap that happened within the series in a story and narrative perspective. People who used to ship Davekat like ikimaru, who even took part to the Vriskagram and made a Davekat piece for it (the two sitting on the couch), regrets having liking the ship and contributing to it. Requiem Cafe would also be bias in shipping them in order to gain fans and money by having the two cardboard standee cutouts be close to each other.

If I miss anything about Davekat or made an error, please let me know.

Hey you all know about that fungus that possesses ants to make them climb on the tip of grass blades in hopes of getting eaten by a cow, so that the fungus can continue its life cycle in the cow's guts? Because I think that's the kind of thing that's wrong with cave divers.
We don't know what's down there. We don't know what's gotten into their heads that makes them so determined to physically, personally go down there to find out. But I wouldn't entirely dismiss the possibility that whatever has gotten into them is very invested in getting eaten by whatever is down there.
