I think that peanut butter should make the evolution to a hyphenated word. Like, come on. Peanut butter had been around for a long time. People know what it is. People use those words to describe one item commonly.

Why not make that jump to hyphenated status? Sure, it looks a little funny, but I firmly believe it should graduate from two-word land into big boy hyphen land.
