Something I've been thinking about is that everyone in the tadpole gang is someone who was really good at their class/job until the tadpole nerfed them... except Astarion.

Lae'zel? Elite warrior. Karlach? Zariel's champion. Shadowheart? Entrusted with the artifact mission. Wyll? The Blade of Frontiers. Gale? Archmage.

Astarion? ...Sex slave.

Everyone else is regaining powers they lost and Astarion is out here like "well I guess I'm kind of dextrous from embroidering my underwear and catching rats in the dark and giving people hand jobs, sure I'll try picking these locks."

No rank no skills no nothing! Not even the memory of them!

i didnt post my Thoughts back then bc i wanted to let them marinade but when i was last reading dunmeshi i got to the part where the winged lion is trying to tempt laios and brings up his apathy and ”hatred” of humanity

and its so interesting to me bc from the way laios reacts its like…it cant be a complete lie right. a charitable and likely reading would maybe be that these are things that laios feels and has felt and thought rarely, only in his darkest moments like shown in the scene. but like he still HAS thought and felt them, undeniably, and i reeeally reaaally like that. because like laios is ALSO undeniably an incredibly kind and caring person, who despite it being difficult and painful for him does try to connect with the humanity around him.

like from the way he treats his friends, to his general kindness towards people he doesnt know or who could even be trouble to him, to things like refusing to hurt thistle even after all he did to him. and ofc what i know he goes on to do later in the manga.

like its fun to have a character whos apathetic and has misanthropic impulses (understandably maybe!) but who still at every opportunity tries his hardest to go against them. like to whom kindness and altruisim are an active choice every time. its realistic i think too since a lot if people i know also struggle with that, but you rarely see it portrayed like this outside of classical antihero characters etc etc let alone in like. mostly goofy weirdos who outwardly DONT show that struggle much. smile

These two are my favorite characters in the game I could talk for hours about how they are almost perfect foils but i'll spare you the yapping for now🙏🔥🔥

My girl Karlach never gets princess treatment bro, idc that she's 6 ft and some change, I'm sure she'd be stoked to have someone treat her with a little fragility every once in a while 😔🔥🔥

They're not actually married here btw, just thinking of them pretending to be a couple to sneak in to places is hilarious to me (aka fake dating au ik ik TOMATO TOMATO)

Creative Writing Tarot Spread

Writers block bogging you down? Use this 7-card spread to help jumpstart your creativity! This prompt can help you generate a very basic storyline.

First, pull a character card! Decide for yourself what this means: will your character carry the traits of the positive meanings of this card? Will your character’s conflicts be brought about by the card’s negative meanings? Will your character look like the figure depicted on the card? Will they wield the item depicted on the card? (Note: if your story has multiple main characters, you may wish to pull a card for each)

Next, pull the plot cards! Pull a card for the beginning of your story, a card for the middle, and a card for the end. Again, let yourself decide what this means. Do these cards describe your character’s emotional state(s) as the story progresses? Do these cards describe internal or external conflicts? Do these cards represent other characters your MC will meet along the way?

Finally, pull your meat cards! These cards are the “meat” of your story. Pull one card for the main or most important setting of your story, one card for the main conflict, and one card for the resolution of that conflict.
