the mako fans who say 'ugh people ship him with Wu clearly don't like Mako (or Korra. or whatever line of attack they wan to go on today') and are bad fans. unlike me, I like Mako, so I'd never ship him with Wu,' are honestly the worst type.

Sure, there's been some fans who in passing ship wuko as a joke. But someone's dumb tweet is not the same as poeple who really care and create fan content for the ship.

a) Wuko is funny. It's opposites attract. Rich V Poor, Introvert v Extrovert, Sensible v Goofball. It's fun. I know 'it's funny' can seem like an insult but I think some of you take shipping too seriously. I value comedy, it's an artform and a funny romance is appealing to me.

b) The above also leads to interesting conflict and drama between the two, because contrasts leads to conflict and difference in their points of view which is interestingggggg

C) Wu has demonstrated a clear ability to value and care about Mako's opinion in canon so the idea that anyone who ships Mako with Wu doesn't want Mako to have someone who cares about him... please....

Anyway, idk, chill out. I totally get not liking Wu and not like Wuko, because everyone has different tastes in characters and ships but PLEASE shhhh about getting Mako more than wuko shippers cos I assure you you don't.

in my mind maybe dean shihan takes the throne (maybe he wrote in his will if he were to die suddenly and has No heirs then she takes over) but yeah I don't know i just wonder what the krew would think after his death and mako especially.

it gives me pain to think about cause in that scenario mako dies alone or gets over it one day and finds other love but it makes me sad to think that wu and mako wont be together

i just like alternate realities. i think happy thoughts too like them getting married and adopting pets and going shopping together

I think everyone in the krew would have a hard time with Wu's death. And poor Mako, he's lost so much already. I wonder how he would cope? I think as his character is at the end of the show and comics, I'm not sure he would cope especially well. Maybe if we are talking a decade or more into the future maybe he would have grown enough to grieve properly? Instead of just stuffing his feelings or burying himself in work.

Just had the thought that Grandma Yin will have to find out her grandson is dating the earth king. Maybe she up and has a heart attack? At least she’d die happy lol

Hopefully she just swoons lol I'd hate for her to die 🤣

I love headcanons about how Yin finding out that Mako and Wu are together. I'm of the mind that she will fully and completely support them and be absolutely thrilled.

I think Wu will probably get Mako's family a nice place in the upper ring, and then when Mako and Wu get married and Mako becomes King Consort, Yin has Mako's royal portrait up next to Wu's. Mako feels very weird about it when he visits

Not to make everything fandom related, but I just went out to eat, and our waiter was so Wu coded. The features, the mannerisms. He was so cute and so charming, super elegant, and I’m feeling a little gay about it and wanted to share with someone who would understand 🤣

This is DELIGHTFUL. I would love to have Wu as a waiter. I think Mako definitely has exhausted line cook energy, if we want to imagine a restaurant AU. Also I often find myself thinking about Lok when I'm out in the world too.I was at a concert and I saw a gay couple that just looked kinda like how I'd imagine Mako and Wu if they went to a concert lol.
