Yessss I think that really fits the narrative for them. I mean especially if Wu was basically smitten at first sight and pined after Mako for years!!! And then when Mako finally comes around and it hits him SO HARD he's completely overwhelmed by his feelings. I love it.

In Windswept I have flipped it though. Mako fell first (oh boy did he have some feelings at first sight) and Wu's probably gonna fall harder after he gets his airbending situated...

If I'm allowed to ask, which one of them is more insatiable?

I think it's Wu! He just seems repressed and sheltered from his upbringing in the royal family, and strikes me as the kind of person to totally go wild when he gets the chance. I think and once he and Mako get together he's all over him constantly.

wu's favourite mako's physical feature? and viceversa?

I think Wu appreciates how sturdy Mako is. Like yes, his muscles are attractive or whatever, but it's more than just 'look at those biceps', it's like, Mako's strong and steady, and Wu can throw his arms around Mako and feel that sturdiness. It's safe.

Mako likes Wu's skin. Yes that's kind of vague but like. How soft it must be!! Mako isn't sure if he's jealous or just really attracted to the soft skin. If he admits he's a little jealous, though, Wu will use any means necessary to drag him to the spa.

Wu and Mako have started dating. One day while Wu is off in Ba Sing Se, being king and all, Mako is really struggling with the distance. Korra, Asami, and Bolin take him out to distract him, and the conversation turns to “how did you and Wu even get to the point of dating.”

Cue, the whole love story, beginning with Mako as Wu’s bodyguard, and the long process of learning to see past the others facade and their (really only Mako’s) own annoyances.

Korra, Asami, and Bolin interrupt in the same way that Wu, Tu, and Grandma Yin do in S4 E8 Rememberences. Frankly this conversation does so much for the three of them understanding and befriending Wu—mostly bc they are roasting the crap out of Mako for how he handled falling in love and realizing/revealing his feelings. The next time they see Wu he is so confused bc they are so much nicer and closer to him than they were the last time he saw them.

Mako has to tell him that their newfound respect comes from the fact that Wu still loves him after he said thank you after their first kiss.
