I have a couple of questions about Kohaku so l figured I would bring them to you (but feel free to not answer them if they are too spoiler-y or they don't have set answers 😅)

What is she made of? She looks to be metal, but is that accurate? And if so, what kind?

What kind of information can she get about people (humans/androids/etcetera) with her scanners?

What is her relationship with her creator like? (I am most curious about this one)

Awwww thanks, anon!!! I really appreciate it when people ask more about Kohaku's lore! I didn't mean to keep some details about her unknown, but I was planning to create a website for her where I can write her lore there, chapter by chapter, but unfortunately, time won't let me. :( Anyway, back to your questions! (Warning: this is going to be a very long answer)

1. What is she made of? She looks to be metal, but is that accurate? And if so, what kind?

She is indeed made out of metal, well, her skin mostly, but not full-on metal, as it would be hard for her to move around if her body were too heavy. He body needs some space for some of her core systems/machinery that allow her to move and dance.

I am not an expert, but I tried to research the possible skin materials (I am not an expert at this kind of information, so if there's anything inaccurate or unrealistic, forgive me). I am imagining her skin to be made out of Titanium alloy or Aluminum alloy, as these materials are lighter and easier to move around. To make her waterproof (because her circuitry can be quite sensitive to water), her skin is also coated with hydrophobic nanocoating while her internal circuits that contain her power unit, AI systems, and voice box were parylene-layered, allowing her to perform near water, get soaked in the rain, or take a bath if she wants. She doesn't need to take a bath very often, though, but the dirt and grime from the outside environment can still make her dirty, so she has to take a bath sometimes, and because her dress needs laundry too! 2. What kind of information can she get about people (humans/androids/etcetera) with her scanners?

For humans, the scanners in her eyes allows her to tell if you are already registered in memory banks, the person's current emotional state, body language, and if whatever you are doing is known to her. This is only known to her, and you can't visually see it in her eyes if she is scanning you, but you can definitely tell if she stared at you or an object longer than she should with that "ohh that looks interesting!" look in her eyes (3 to 10 seconds, depending on how interested she is).

For objects/androids, the information differs, such as the model of the object. It's state (broken/well-functioning), its probable use.

For example, if she scanned a lady janitor, the information in her system would read like this. Creature: Human Name: Unknown Sex: Female Age: 20-30 approximate Emotional state: Tired, stressed Current activity: Sweeping the floor If she scanned Galvan Ize, however: Creature: Robot??? Name: Galvan Ize Emotional state: Tired, facial expressions neutral Current activity: Typing on his computer. And if it's a robot/android, the information will read as: Creature: Android Model: PX2533 (product of NeuraTech), designed for simple deliveries State: Functioning Current activity: Delivering computer supplies. This can still change in the future, and I would like to modify this further and be more detailed

This is what Kohaku looks like if she is scanning you or an object nearby. Either way, still looks cute! 3. What is her relationship with her creator like? (I am most curious about this one.) Due to Kohaku's overly curious nature, Kira Aoki became her mom, her teacher, and her friend. Kohaku is so curious about a lot of things that Kira must not let her out of her sight, especially in the open, as Kohaku tends to wander a lot. You can probably imagine a very stressed Kira who happened to lose sight of Kohaku while walking through a subway full of people, only to find her watching some guy who plays a guitar while singing, asking for some donations. At home, Kira teaches her basic stuff like cooking, cleaning, introduces her to more books, and puts a safe mode on her internet browser to avoid getting into any suspicious websites or accidentally buying something, but Kohaku's most favorite activity is when the two of them have a heart-to-heart talk about their days that went by or when Kira teaches her how to sing better, acting as her vocal coach. That's everything so far. Thank you for reading ^^

Kohaku Aoki Lore Ramblings

The video above actually features several elements from Kohaku's Lore world setting. Kohaku's story is named "Project Synthesis", and it doesn't just revolve around her, but it also revolves around Kira Aoki (her creator), her past, and their bond as creator and creation.

Kira Aoki (the one I am voicing here) mentioned 2 major companies in the video. One is NeuraTech Robotics, and the other is StarRise Entertainment. Kira Aoki previously worked at NeuraTech as a Lead Quality Assurance Team member and has worked in their company for a long time. NeuraTech's main gig is to make robots/androids that help you in your everyday life, from robo assistants to simple janitors, housemaids with varying designs and sizes. If you want a clunky robot assistant but efficient, they've got you! And if you also like it to be in a humanoid form, they have that too!

But of course, things changed when their company got big, so too is their arrogance. They started "decommissioning" robots/androids at a very fast rate instead of returning them to the factory for possible repair. Any sign of instability from the robots/androids during the testing phase, from physical to mostly emotional, will immediately place them for decommissioning. As someone from the QA team, Kira saw it all happen as they are also tasked to decommission the robots upon any sign of emotional instability as well. Soon, Kira got too guilty from just watching it all happen, so she decided to quit the company for good.

Another company mentioned is StarRise, which is the company that scouted Kohaku Aoki when she got viral after that Karaoke scene in the mall (the scene that happened during her CV demo), which is when Kira was introducing Kohaku to the outside world for the very first time and teach her how to do groceries only for Kohaku to wander away from her, spotted a karaoke equipment for free testing at an appliance store and started her own mini concert. That sudden popularity gave way for Kohaku to become an idol, and Kira was suddenly thrust into the managerial role, which she eventually came to like.

I can write more about Project Synthesis if you guys want to know more. I am just writing it down here so I won't forget it. ;)
