Shopping-themed headcanon 

John is absolutely the responsible one when it comes to shopping. He always has a list and follows it. He rarely makes impulsive purchases although he sometimes knows how to make it seem as such. John would get Helen flowers seemingly out of nowhere but was actually already planning on getting flowers the second they left the house.

Bad habit

John used to smoke back in his younger days but once he met Helen and learned about her delicate health, he was able to stop it for her sake. He hasn't picked up a single cigarette ever since, even once she was gone.

Linda

A secret they know of / keep

Her childhood is basically full of secrets. Nobody knows the abuse that was happening behind closed doors. Nobody knows that Linda used to be a child idol growing up, with a different birth name. She’s trying really hard to erase her past but sadly, it will forever have a stain in her heart.

Supernatural occurrences

Despite her living in a universe that’s not exactly “normal”, she’s a sceptical person when it comes to the supernatural. Yes, their city has an outbreak of vampire/demon-like creatures but ghosts? Nah, they can’t exist. Her belief in “the supernatural” is limited to what is known as fact in her canon universe. Her skepticism honestly can sometimes even be a negative thing, as she completely disregards the opinions of those that believe even something slightly esoteric, which can make her blind to people that might be kind and useful at their core. 

The fact that her mother was in a cult probably really didn’t help her sceptic outlook on life in adulthood. 

Weapon-themed headcanon

She’s really good at using the weapons she’s able to create out of her own blood but if she’s given a normal weapon, she will suddenly be much worse. There’s a sense of connection she has with her blood-made naginata, she can literally FEEL it’s shape and motion which is something she can’t have with a separate object. 

So despite being able to defeat multiple enemies in a fight single-handedly, she won’t exactly call herself a skilled fighter, she’s just intune with her powers.

Universe-themed headcanon

Half-bloods in her universe are considered a myth by most people. There is so little evidence of them existing and the little research that was done, is locked away in well-secured facilities. Linda is absolutely terrified of becoming a lab-rat and she knows that the more people know about her powers, the bigger is the chance of her becoming one. When she joined CIDA it was a HUGE leap out of her comfort zone, because, from the outside, she always saw them as the exact thing she hated. The only reason she joined is because Ray was there and he was always the most kind-hearted and honest person she has ever known, even before they got REALLY close.

Ruby

Romance-themed headcanon

Ruby is actually not really good at “normal” romance stuff. She doesn’t know how to be sweet or even cheesy. She doesn’t know how to properly do things for a partner or how to flirt. Her idea of compliments and gifts is twisted and feels more creepy than romantic, truly stalker ass behaviour. She can sometimes act soft but only after making sure that her partner is completely still, exhausted, will be unable to do anything back or turn away, as if they’re a toy.

Pain-themed headcanon

Ruby loves pain, inflicting it and receiving it. When she’s the one inflicting pain, it makes her feel powerful and when she’s the one receiving it, she’s able to feel something intense enough to cleanse her hunger for adrenaline or just let go of certain emotions that don’t leave on their own. 

Funnily enough, she doesn’t like illnesses-induced pain, like a headache from a cold or a sore throat. They make her weak and are not intense enough to bring anything other than annoyance. 

Bad habit

Ruby is a drug-addict but she doesn’t realize it. What drug? Well, it’s hard to explain. She’s not addicted to a specific thing rather she’s just addicted to substances as a whole. She will take whatever pill is offered, smoke whatever will be passed, no questions asked. Anything that is more intense than this dull life.

She mostly takes hard things that will make her feel more on edge, things that shift reality. She’s not much of a nicotine or alcohol person, basically.

Nsfw-headcanon

She’s mostly a switch. Whether she will take the lead or the other way around will mostly depend on a partner, their personality and just how physically stronger they are. Do you have enough strength to hold this unpredictable ball of energy in place? Congrats, you can be the top! If not, well, be ready to go on a wild ride. Sex is kind of like a fight with her, constant wrestling, fighting for control, the clothes might not even come off at the end. 

As I have mentioned before, pain is an important part of her experience of life as a whole and that reflects on her sex-life. Be ready to get covered in scratches, bites, bruises. It’s going to look like you were in a boxing ring.

Lmao ofc the number one Thouma stan. I don't mind tho please force me to flesh out this man he deserves it.

How easily could your OC be convinced to do something that goes against their moral compass?

I guess depends on the situation and how good is the person at manipulation. Using his sister's safety is probably the easiest way to convince him to do, basically anything. He will do anything, betray anyone, if it will end up ensuring her safety somehow, even if she will hate him her entire life for it. Without that leverage, however, he's a pretty stubborn person so convincing him to do anything differently is a challenge on it's own, let alone convincing him to go against fundamental morals he has.

One way of convincing him to do something NOT his way is by somehow proving that the other person knows more about the situation than he is. He will be the first person to jump in and do CPR but if someone tries to take over saying "I'm a doctor" he'll let go. That probably won't work as well when it comes to moral values but maybe under the right circumstances, he might.

What's one way your OC has changed since you first came up with them?

Thouma is a pretty new character. He kinda came into this world along with the zombie idea, back when it started out as a multiplayer FPS (although tbh I might go back to that idea because the story based survival is nooot working out). He was one of the first characters in it. He's still kinda in the "being written" phase. He doesn't exactly have anything set and things are constantly being added to him so honestly, there's not many "changes" I can think of as there are just new things being added to what's already there. So he just kinda got more developed, in general. There are more reasons for his actions and thoughts. One thing I want to try to do is make him more of his own person, if that makes sense? Because right now his whole life revolves around Niwa and while it is like, an actual thing some parents deal with, loosing themselves in the parenting, there still needs to be something personal to him, something that doesn't involve her. Maybe a hobby, a dream job from his childhood, little things.

How does your OC behave when enraged?

He's not a physical type of angry. Thouma can get loud and has a problem of not hearing anyone else when he's angry, but he will never get physical. Most of the time, he will just try to run away from the interaction as soon as he can, lock himself in the bedroom or walk out of the house completely. He desperately tries to stay alone in moments of anger out of fear of saying something he'll regret.

What's an AU that would be interesting to explore with your OC?

Linda - I really love the VTM version I made of her. She just fits into that universe so well, I feel like. But if you're asking about something I haven't explored publicly AT ALL, I think an Idol AU could be interesting. Kind of like, what if instead of leaving she actually stayed in the industry? What fanbase would she have? What drama she would have gotten into?

Ruby - I don't know why but Groupie!Ruby is living in my head rent-free. She mostly exists after I made her in Cyberpunk and discovered Ruby/Johnny for myself. Something about having this absolutely unpredictable fan backstage that could possibly kidnap and/or kill you at any second. Bonus points if the star is kind of an ass with an ego and needs a reality check. Like, she will absolutely feed into your ego by being obsessed, but at what cost?

What is the worst thing you have put your OC through story-wise?

Oh god there's a lot ummm. I don't think anything has outweighed the whole "grew up in an organ trade" thing yet. I think befriending captives and then having to see them cut into pieces did things to her that nothing else has really done. But hey, who knows, anything is possible.

Oh her visual design, absolutely. Both the alive version and zombified. She's absolutely the prettiest girl in existence I love heeeeer!!!

when i have to reassure you that you’re not a burden, it hurts both of us. it hurts you because you become dependent on that reassurance. and it hurts me because i feel like i can never admit how hard supporting you is, or you’ll interpret it as me hating you.

i have a family i love and other friends and a promising career ahead of me and god i sound like i’m rubbing it in your face. it’s not your fault that [insert circumstances here]. it’s not my fault that i have things that you don’t.

i can’t promise to be with you forever. i feel like a liar every time i reassure you that i’ll always be here. it would be shitty of me to leave you because you’re too much work. i can tell you that, and it doesn’t feel like a lie. it just feels like i might be a shitty person.
