It’s hard enough being a teenager, coping with changes that all entails, especially when you’re a girl. It’s even harder when you’re a magical girl too, but Aida Mana gives it her all, driven by her own personal mission to help all those who need it. A mission she pursues often to her own expense, and her friends concern. But she isn’t worried: she’s always made it work so far.
But she’s about to learn that actions have consequences, as one more change finally catches up with her.
“If every bite from a dog made a werewolf, the world would be inundated with them. It just doesn’t happen. But if it was a magical dog, even if she was a precure…”
“It could be possible.”
“So what do we do?”
After the events of the movie, the Dokidoki team get a surprise when Mana becomes a werewolf.

Rough outfit design for another precure oc of mine: Cure Joy!
Actually an curesona created by the younger sister of one of my Memory Cures, she has quite an important part in their story.
(Also this drawing style does not convey the sheer amount of delight this kid radiates. She's a bundle of bubbly joy, I swear.)

literally NOTHING can compare to found family stories like that trope is the actual physical beating heart in my chest. choosing your family, who you want to love and heal with, who you believe in and viciously defend and trust. forming those bonds on your own is SUCH a lovely, compelling narrative that we should NOT sleep on. thanks.

isekai: someone from Earth goes to another world.
reverse isekai: someone from another world comes to Earth.
inverse isekai: another world comes to someone on Earth.
converse isekai: someone on Earth stays on Earth, but Earth itself changes.

Precure seasons, but roughly ranked by the scale of what they're protecting:
Tumblr media
Notes:
Left to right is highest to lowest within tiers
All of this is approximate
I'm counting Hugtto as saving the future, which to me is a pretty big thing
GoGo is up there because of the cure rose garden flowers/worlds thing
There's a lot of one Fairy world + Earth going on (understandably)
OG's get a free pass to the top by battling the forces of darkness itself
Heartcatch is a 1+ because of the heart tree, but that's it

A warning to fandom consumers:
it's almost a pity this is going to miss those who need to see it most right now because they have most likely already blocked me, but I'm going to say it anyway:
You can have opinions about the content you consume. You can dislike stuff as much as you want. That's fine. Everyone has opinions.
Saying and demanding that those making that content you don't like leave your fandom and go elsewhere, is not.
In shortest terms: It's bullying.
And if either of the above is directed at the the creator, it's bullying and harassment.
Which is not acceptable.
...and you should take a long hard look at yourself if you're perpetuating this.
I don't normally get involved in discourse, but when you've been in fandom spaces where creators have killed themselves because of stuff like that, you do not take this lightly.
You cannot take this lightly.
Block, ignore, or unfollow me as you will, but this is where I stand.

So I have read several people complaining that they can't be expected to know the "unwritten rules" of fandom. So here's what I wish people knew:
Fanfiction is fiction.
Fictional people are not real.
Fictional people do not have rights.
Fictional people cannot be abused.
Reading or writing about something does not mean the desire to do or support it in the real world.
If I find art upsetting/triggering/disgusting/outraging/unpleasant/squicky/distressing/offensive, it is on me not to read it, not the creators and hosts to remove it.
Curate your own experience. The back buttons exist for a reason.
If you don't trust yourself to do that, get someone you trust to do it for you.
Fandom is an adult space. Adults create and own and host fandom spaces. If minors want to participate, then the onus is on them and their parents/guardians/trusted adults to ensure they participate appropriately, not on strange adults to stop being adults.
You often don't know the assault status or mental health status or neurotype or race or nationality or religion or gender or sexuality or age of a creator or consumer, and they do not have to disclose to you to justify their fantasy.
AO3 is not a safe space. It is not intended to be a safe space. Proceed accordingly.
Just because you don't like something or find it offensive doesn't mean it is a "problem" that "has to be dealt with".
Most characters in anime are not white.
There is no onus on you to reblog or share anything.
Everyone makes mistakes in fandom and is less than their best self sometimes.
Persistent pseudonyms encourage long term relationships.
Ship wars are stupid.
Someone else enjoying things does not impact on your own enjoyment of other things.
Tagging and warning is a courtesy, not a requirement. Assume any fic might contain untagged content.
Rating is an imprecise art, not a science.
Don't hassle IP creators.
Most people who are in fandom are hoping to make connections based on a shared passion.
Trying to profit from transformative fanworks puts us all at risk.
No one is obligated to share your head canon or fanon.
Being kind rarely fails to pay off.
It is okay to block and remove people who make your experience unpleasant. You don't have to placate them. (Learn from my mistakes).
Britpicking is a good thing.
You don't have to justify why you like a canon/pairing/trope/kink. Sometimes navel gazing is fun, but you don't have an obligation to explain yourself, especially to strangers. I share the overwhelming desire to refute an unfair accusation, but the people accusing you are rarely doing so in good faith, so you're batting a losing wicket.
I'm not your Mum. (Well, okay, a very few of you can call me Mum or Mom, but if you are one of them you already know who you are ❤️)
If you aren't mature enough to take responsibility for your online experiences, you aren't mature enough to be in fandom spaces.

- Should they tag their content appropriately? Yes
- Should they be stopped from making their fandom content because it's a kids show? No
- Is it fiction? Yes
Again, twitter is not a space open to the target audience i.e young kids. Everyone else there should be old enough to understand what they should avoid, and how to avoid stuff they don't like, even if it's badly curated on the creators part.
My objection is to your blanket exclusionary calls based on your own disgust at a fictional story based on another fictional story.
so if you're not on precuretwt, currently the fandom there is discussing this fanseries called deep dark web precure which is.... a horribly edgy fanseries which contains, among other things, alcoholism, underage sex, cannibalism, gore. there's a fucking character named cure blood, i wish i was joking. and one of the standout scenes was a cure (who's also an alcoholic) being forced to eat her mother's remains.
like.. what is this obsession adults have with wanting kids' shows to be dark and gritty? imagine seeing a cute show about teenage girls fighting evil with the power of friendship and going "hmmm, you know what this needs? DEATH, CANNIBALISM, GORE!" like jesus christ if you want a dark magical girl show that bad go watch madoka magica. or if that's STILL not dark enough for you watch magical girl site. just stay AWAY from kids shows
